– Some fans were under the impression that Maria Menounos had an “accident” during the divas tag match at WrestleMania. Maria set the record straight on Twitter, saying it was just makeup on her butt:
“Just won my match at #Wrestlemania with @realkellykelly.amazing experience.and ps-that was eve’s makeup on my pants-let’s not get cray cray”

“@EveMarieTorres ruined my #WrestleMania moment. I got a low blowski from a hoeski.”

After failing to capture the WWE Championship from CM Punk at WrestleMania 28 in an epic 30+ minute battle, Jericho posted the following on Twitter on Monday morning:
“Feel like I got run over by a truck…and in a way I did. The better man won last night. I guess its time for me to move on.”
When Jericho first returned to WWE, there were online reports that he would be leaving shortly after WrestleMania. More recently, we reported here on SEScoops that Jericho will be sticking around for several more months, so him “moving on” is likely not his departure from WWE – and probably moving on from his feud with Punk.
As Daniel Bryan went to kiss his girlfriend AJ at WrestleMania XXVIII, he ignored the fact that the bell had already rung to start his World Heavyweight Championship Match against Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior immediately Brogue Kicked him for the victory.
WWE creative had planned for the match to set a new record for the shortest match in WrestleMania history but it ultimately was not at as it last 18 seconds (Chavo Guerrero vs. Kane at WrestleMania XXIV stands as the shortest match in WrestleMania history at 8 seconds). The quick match result was planned had been planned for weeks but there were people in WWE lobbying to have it changed.

Tonight at WrestleMania XXVIII in Sun Life Stadium, WWE Champion CM Punk will defend the WWE Championship against Chris Jericho. Former WWE Superstar Ultimate Warrior believes The Straight Edge Superstar will own tonight’s show.
He tweeted Sunday afternoon, “WM 28…time for WWE Superstars of today to shine. Feel THEIR power. All of them warriors for today. Watch @CMPunk OWN it. Always Believe, W.”
Warrior thinks highly of Punk as he has praised his character and efforts several times on the microblogging website. By the same token, the WWE Superstar frequently acknowledges that he is a fan of Warrior. He tweeted a photo last week of a WWE title belt Warrior had autographed.
Today also marks as the twenty-two year anniversary of Warrior dethroning Hulk Hogan as WWF Champion at WrestleMania VI. He addressed the event after a Twitter user said he couldn’t believe it’s been exactly twenty-two years since that momentous day.
Warrior wrote, “Believe it. Time stops for no one. Heroes use it wisely.”
2010 Miss USA Rima Fakih has been on hand for many of the WrestleMania week events in Miami, Florida, prompting speculation that she signed a contract with WWE. The beauty queen confirmed to German celebrity gossip website Promiflash.de that she is now affiliated with the sports entertainment organization.
When asked if she is under contract to WWE at Thursday’s WrestleMania Premiere Party at Sun Island, she responded, “You are the first to respond to me, but I can now tell you that I will definitely be part of WWE.”
The website notes that Fakih plans to wrestle for WWE after competing on WWE Tough Enough last year. She says she did not take the experience lightly.
“It was really hard. I probably had to fight the most, simply because everyone thought that I’m just a beauty queen,” Fakih says. She adds that she while she sustained numerous injuries during the competition, it meant too much to her give up.
Fakih was also asked which match she is most looking forward to at tonight’s WrestleMania. She says CM Punk’s match against Chris Jericho.
“Everyone wants John Cena to see The Rock, but I personally cannot wait to see CM Punk spanked Chris Jericho’s ass,” she says, “I love CM Punk. He has a very distinctive and colorful character.”
Seth Mates, who worked with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as a creative writer for WWE in the build-up to his 2002 match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, finds it odd that some wrestlers are resentful of his return to the organization.
“The resentment towards Rock always struck me as a little bit funny,” he tells the Pro Wrestling Torch. “Because the thing about Rock is that people like are jealous of Rock not for stealing the spot but for being one of the guys who got out. You know he made it. He made it in a big way. He made a ton of money. And then he had an exit plan. And now he can come back and work when he wants. And it’s not like Rock is coming back and working with a guy who – he’s coming back to help make John Cena bigger than Cena ever was. He’s coming back to work with a guy who works house shows and who works Raw. You know. He’s coming back and he’s bringing mainstream attention. I can’t speak to the locker room leader this and whatever. I just know that wrestlers like to talk, wrestlers like to stir the pot, wrestlers like to cause trouble. Not a knock on them. Everybody does in every profession. You know every job I’ve ever had people talk you know what about other people in the room. Rock’s not stealing anybody’s spot. Rock is bringing a lot of eyeballs.”
Mates believes Triple H’s jealousy of Johnson (based around his success in wrestling and in Hollywood after he left) is the driving force behind much of the negativity.
“I know that a lot of the stuff that Cena has said about Rock and his feelings towards Rock sound like something that would be coming directly from, you know Mr. Helmsley and his view,” he said. “Because, again, as I said, I always sensed some insecurities as related to Rock and to [Steve] Austin and how, again, in my mind and perception, he never was at that level. And so he wanted to position himself as, well, I’m as good, if not better. Which I don’t know that he has done that.”
Mates also comments on his verbal spats with John Cena and Trish Stratus being welcomed back to the organization. The full article is available here.
Tonight at WrestleMania XXVIII in Sun Life Stadium, Sheamus will challenge Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship. Both wrestlers have come a long way since last year’s show when their advertised United States Championship Match was bumped from the pay-per-view broadcast to the pre-show at the last minute. Though Sheamus was furious with the demotion, he did not stay angry for long as he instead opted to use it as fuel for his SmackDown run.
When asked by WWE Magazine if he found it frustrating to cede the spotlight last year following much success, he responded, “I think that if you don’t find it frustrating, then what are you doing here? What sort of goal or passion do you have if you don’t care about being at the top, you know? Was I happy to sit back and watch my bout be a dark match at WrestleMania? Absolutely not. I was furious. But I didn’t let that anger eat me up. I had to turn it into something productive, and I used it to focus on my opponents when I came over to Smackdown. If I sat there and felt sorry for myself, or got angry at whatever the circumstances were, I guarantee I would not be in a main-event match at WrestleMania this year.”
The Celtic Warrior also comments on what fans can expect to be different in tonight’s match compared to last year’s.
“They can expect it to be at WrestleMania! And a main event! They can expect to see two guys beat the living daylights out of each other. And they can expect me to win,” he says. “But the biggest change from last year has been our move to Smackdown. I think that was the best thing that could have happened to me and Daniel Bryan. It’s been amazing. We have a bit more TV time, we have new competition, like Randy Orton and Christian, and we’re able to grow and develop more. It just goes to show how far certain can go when given an opportunity. The more we compete, the more wins we gain, the more confident we become until we carry a show, a main-event match at the biggest show of the year.”
– The news of Brock Lesnar returning to WWE was a hot topic of disucssion in the crowd at the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in Miami last night. “He [Punk] said it’s not real yoga. Well, he’s right, it’s not. So, he [Punk] is saying that, and a lot of people thought it was a slap…. It was just to tick off Jericho for doing that.”
DDP says many of WWE’s top superstars have been using his yoga program, including The Miz, Daniel Bryan, Zack Ryder, Mick Foley, Kane and others. “These guys are out there getting better and getting stronger and healthier. So it [the publicity] is a win, win, win for the company, it’s a win, win, win for everybody.”
Regarding tonight’s WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Chris Jericho:
“Punk’s all wound up … and has 10 years less time in the ring than he [Jericho] has. Everybody’s trying to get this emotional fire up, because you want to see this fight. You want to see this explode. And it’s funny to me. But you don’t know what’s reality and what’s not. That’s where it comes alive. That’s why wrestling works.”
“I just know he [Jericho] wants to blow the roof off the place, but that’s what Punk wants, too. There’s a lot of great matches on this card. They’re all vying for the ‘steal the show’ spot. It’ll be interesting to see. I think this is one of the best WrestleManias. I’m looking forward to it.”
John Cena spoke with Tim Baines of The Toronto Sun this weekend. Here are some highlights of what Cena said about:
His Match With The Rock:
“Often times, when you get a generational clash, one member of the generation is past his prime. Rock is in the best shape of his life. I’m certainly the strongest I’ve ever been. We’re both ready to go. It’s not like you’re getting an old version of something and a current version of something. You’re getting two current versions of something.”
Turning Down Movie Roles:
“I’ve had to pass on a lot of stuff. I don’t want to be an actor, I want to be a WWE champion and I want to be the best that I can be. If a part comes up and I have to make a choice between that and wresting, 10 out of 10 times I stay here.”
WWE’s “Old Days”:
“I honestly like it back then better. Regardless of the creative literature, there is no substitute for pure emotions. That’s why I go out there by the seat of my pants, not afraid to look like an idiot. Under all that, very few people remember the exact words you say, but man, if you’re excited or pissed off, they remember that stuff.”

Brock Lesnar is in Miami and has reportedly signed a 1-year contract with WWE. According to the Wrestling Observer, Lesnar arrived in Miami with a ton of security and an entourage of people surrounding him.
Lesnar’s deal is said to be a reduced schedule, which would allow Lesnar to avoid the hectic travel schedule that was one of the main factors in his decision to leave WWE after WrestleMania 20.
If Brock is signed with WWE, an appearance at WrestleMania 28 a very real possibility.
Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer stated on the F4WOnline.com message board that both sides have been in talks for a month and that WWE at least initially wanted his return match to take place at SummerSlam on August 19.
Meltzer said The Rock is aware of Lesnar’s negotiations and explaining his response to an Associated Press writer’s question last week regarding a possible confrontation.
“I’m not saying a thing,” said a grinning Johnson with his eyebrow raised after being asked about a possible encounter with Lesnar. “I didn’t say anything.”
