One of the more newsworthy topics discussed was the major heat Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine received after not selling the Stone Cold Stunner he received following the Tough Enough season finale. Here’s what Riggs said about that situation:

“I think that a lot of people may have just bit there tongue on that one and let it pass, however I do know that he got his ass chewed that’s for sure. I ain’t gonna blast nobody, I ain’t gonna mention nobody’s names or anything, but there certainly was some people that knew what the deal was and they weren’t happy.”

The fact that Andy Leavine was already under a developmental contract with WWE during Tough Enough was also addressed. Regarding that situation, Riggs said:

“You know it is what it is. Hell, he is back in FCW, so it’s not like the WWE invested in something they already had. I don’t think that it’s much, but I tell you that when I get my chance I’m gonna come through there and I’m gonna shake some things up. I’m gonna step on some toes. If someone is in my way then they can either move or get hit over. I think in this business your gonna get pushed around, however I’m gonna push myself to the top and I’m gonna give it my

Mickie James came out for a promo and called out Velvet Sky. Mickie said she has watched Velvet get blamed for other wrestler’s problems. Mickie knows how it gets and its not good. Mickie wants to give Velvet her first knockouts championship shot tonight because Velvet has earned it and says that they are going to tear the roof off the Impact Zone.

Angelina Love and Winter come out. Angelina says she and Winter are competitors and that Mickie and Velvet just need to go get a hotel room. Angelina says that no matter who wins tonight it won’t be long before the title is back around her waist. Winter insults both Mickie and Velvet for a bit before they go to the back.

Backstage Sarita and Rosita are brawling with Tara and Miss Tessmacher. Madison Rayne brawls with Tara as well until referees have to break it up.

Miss Tessmacher and Tara defeat Rosita and Sarita to become the new Knockouts Tag Champions. Tara and Tessmacher jumped Rosita and Sarita when they came out. Sarita was wrestling this match wearing a mask due to her recent facial injury. Tara had Sarita in the Widow’s Peak and Madison ran out while the ref was distracted and Madison tackled Tara. They call out Beer Money who enter the building and come face to face with Mexican America. James Storm tells them to do everyone a favor and leave the ring, the company, and go cut grass. Storm threatens to kick Anarquia’s teeth down his throat. Since they have been competing in the Bound for Glory Series, they came out to reintroduce themselves to everyone.

Storm says they are the best, being four time tag team champions. Storm says they aren’t going to just beat them, they’re going to kick their asses for the people here, the people watching, and all the Mexcians that came before Mexican America that they are disgracing. At Hardcore Justice, Beer Money will beat them to retain the tag titles. Storm advises them to mark the day after the pay per view on their calendars because Mexican America is going to wake up with their Green Cards stuck straight up their asses. Roode tells then Sorry About your damn luck.

The Knockouts Title Match between Velvet Sky and Mickie James never got to happen. Angelina Love and Winter attacked Mickie as she entered. Velvet tried to make the save. ODB and Jackie came out and attacked Velvet as Angelina and Winter bailed. Traci Brooks then came out for the save. Referees and security had to separate Traci, Mickie, and Velvet from Jackie and ODB. Cops came out and put handcuffs on Jackie and ODB and took them out of the Impact Zone.

TNA World Champion Sting and Kurt Angle defeated Ken Anderson and Bully Ray when Angle pinned Anderson after an Angle Slam. Ray tried to stop Anderson from doing his usual intro because Ray wants to get in the ring and take care of business. Anderson did it anyway. At one point during the match Bischoff came out and said something on commentary.

After the match, Angle and Sting shook hands and Angle pulled Sting in close before leaving the ring.

JR Blog: Tonight’s RAW, Wrestling’s Biggest Ladies Man

6

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated his blog, which you can read in its entirety at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are some highlights of what JR said about:

Tonight’s RAW From Boston: “What do I expect on RAW tonight from Boston? I have high expectations for the show tonight with all guns pointed toward Sunday’s MITB PPV headlined by Cena vs. Punk for the WWE Title. Curious to see what tonight’s crowd reaction will be for both the WWE Champion and the man who apparently is making his last Monday night Raw appearance for the foreseeable future. Tonight’s Raw needs to be a hit to help pop a nice PPV # Sunday. I’m very interested in the CM Punk story and where it goes. If MITB does well, one can arguably contribute the success to the WWE Title bout.”

Kevin Nash’s Movie Career: “What’s Kevin Nash up to. Oh, about 7 feet. Seriously, Kevin called me Monday on his way back from France where he wrestled on a one off event in the southern part of France and was on his way back to Miami where he’s filming a movie. Kevin plays Tom Cruise’s bodyguard in the film. It’s a huge, $200M film w/ an all star cast.”

Wrestling’s Biggest Ladies Man: “Who’s pro wrestling’s biggest ladies man. There were plenty of them but Ric Flair would be my #1 pick. However, he had many rivals.”

Major Update On CM Punk’s Negotiations With WWE

33

With less than one week to go until WWE’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view, we’ve got a big update on CM Punk’s WWE future. According to several high level WWE sources, today is “the day” for WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, talent relations executive John Laurinaitis, and CM Punk in regards to both sides coming to terms on a new deal. One source was quoted over the weekend saying:

“This is very much like the Jericho and Jeff Hardy situations. Punk’s contract has already expired, but he signed an extension through the pay per view in order to work the main event with Cena in Chicago.”

While Punk has not been the most popular superstar behind the scenes in recent months, WWE management is not oblivious to the lack of star power currently on the WWE roster. Following the recent retirement of Edge, the departures of other PPV main eventers like Batista, Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho, Punk’s value to WWE has never been higher.

With Punk’s WWE contract set to expire this weekend after Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view, this will be a very interesting week in WWE.

Former WWE Star Finlay Comments On His Release

39

Earlier this year, former WWE superstar Finaly, who was working as an agent/producer behind the scenes at the time, was fired after booking an angle where The Miz interrupted the National Anthem at a live WWE event – which caused an uproar among the National Guard servicemen who were in attendance.

Finaly recently spoke to the UK’s Fighting Spirit magazine and had this to say about the situation:

“I was given a lot of leeway and a lot of power in WWE, and that comes with a lot of responsibility. I made a call that caused a storm and I paid for it.  They play the American national anthem over here before every event. We had Miz going out first and, because it was just before WrestleMania, we were trying to get as much heat on him as possible.  So my spur-of-the-moment call, as I sat right by the technician, was to tell him to hit Miz’s music while they were half-way through the national anthem.  Of course, people were up in arms about it, but it was a good reaction as a heel. But there were National Guard people in the building that took exception to it, and I understand that fully.  It wasn’t intended to insult anybody in that way — it was just part of an entertaining show. That’s what we do, we entertain — it’s about cheers and boos.”

Regarding upcoming events, Cena wrote: “Last RAW before MITB. In Boston. I’m sure next Sunday in Chicago….the fans will be a little salty….maybe more than salty.”

— Facebook deleted Maryse’s fan page last week.

“Hey Guyyyyys, Facebook deleted my FanPage, so I DO NOT have an account as for now,” she wrote on Twitter. “Check out frenchkissmaryse.com for updates. Be sexy.”
