Watch: Stone Cold Lives Up To His Name in Hilarious First Cold Plunge Experience

0

‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin certainly lived up to his moniker by submerging his body in freezing water as part of his first ‘Cold plunge’ experience.

On Instagram, Austin shared footage of his first experience of submerging his body into icy-cold water. The WWE Hall of Famer was clearly not a fan of the freezing temperatures and let off the occasional expletive.

In a second video, Austin said he ‘chickened out’ in the first video after ten seconds. The Texas Rattlesnake was told that the experience was “Supposed to get your endorphins going or some sh*t.” Austin added that he was “freezing my f***ing ass off!”

In the comments, several people shared their own experiences with doing cold plunges. Matt Cardona said that Diamond Dallas Page “tortured” him with a cold plunge. WWE’s Robert Roode called the videos the best thing he’s seen in a long time. ‘Hurricane’ Shane Helms added that Austin’s commentary was top-notch.

Cold Plunge: The Science & The Risks

Cold plunges are nothing new in the world of sports, as athletes have been using ice baths for decades. Ice baths are often used to reduce delayed onset muscle soreness and perceptions of fatigue after heavy exercise.

Risks include hypothermia, shock, and the possibility of sudden cardiac death. It is with this in mind that those who use cold plunges are advised to not spend more than 15 minutes immersed. People are also advised to use warm clothing on areas of their body that aren’t submerged, such as their torso.

When not doing a cold plunge, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin can be found behind the wheel of his 3:16-inspired vehicle…

Spoilers: Nic Nemeth Makes In-Ring TNA Debut, Cuts Emotional Promo

0

Nic Nemeth had plenty to say about his past, his future, and TNA Wrestling in his first promo for the company.

In the main event of TNA Hard to Kill, Moose dethroned Alex Shelley to become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. After the match, Nemeth made his debut by confronting the new champion in the ring

Nic Nemeth’s First TNA Promo

Last night, TNA taped their Snake Eyes event, which saw Nemeth in action. During the show, Nemeth cut a promo in front of the fans. The former Superstar reflected on his debut the night prior and how he’s feeling right now.

“Hard to Kill was one hell of a moment, wasn’t it? TNA is back baby. From the opening match to that main event, there was something in the air and damn it, I loved every second.

“I’ve been very fortunate. I’ve done 19 years, and a hell of a lot of events. I was very fortunate to rack up a lot of accomplishments in 19 years but I did it all in one world. I got some emotions running through. You said I still got it, I never lost it!

“I’m intimidated. I’m scared. I’m nervous. I’m excited. And make no mistake about it, I picked my time and place. I showed up in this ring and I lined up face to face with the TNA world champion. I am going to become TNA world champion. I am going to celebrate with each and every one of you!

“I respect the men and the women of this locker room way too much to stroll in here and demand a world title match and get it. This is my day one. This is my first day right here, right now, doing it all over again. It starts here, right now. This time, I earn it all the way to the top.

“I promise I will do it again. I’ve done it in the past and I will never stop. It’s the first time in my life that I do it as Nic Nemeth!”

Nemeth’s Debut Match

Nic Nemeth did more than just talk during the TNA Snake Eyes taping. During the show, Nemeth defeated Zachary Wentz in his first match outside of WWE in decades. One fan who attended said the match was good and added that Wentz controlled the action early on. You can check out some photos from the match and Nemeth’s entrance below.

It’s not just TNA Wrestling where fans can see the ‘Wanted Man’…

Another NJPW Bullet Club Member’s Contract Is Already Up

0

2024 could see numerous pro wrestlers depart from their current companies to find work elsewhere. Now, NJPW is facing the possibility of losing some key members of the Bullet Club.

NJPW Could Lose More Bullet Club Members

NJPW has lost a few members of their roster in recent memory. With Will Ospreay leaving for AEW, and Kazuchika Okada’s future contract status seemingly up in the air, it appears that their roster will be a bit lighter by the end of 2024.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that the contracts of Bullet Club members Gabriel Kidd, Clark Connors, and Alex Coughlin are nearing expiration. Now, we can add Drilla Moloney’s name to that list.

In previous days, Fightful has reported that Gabriel Kidd, Clark Connors and Alex Coughlin all had contracts set to expire in January. They aren’t alone, as we’re told that Drilla Moloney, aka Dan Moloney is among those whose contracts are actually already up. We’ve not heard if he’s been in active negotiations with NJPW.

Drilla Moloney is a former tag team champion with Clark Connors, holding the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles until Wrestle Kingdom 18. He could be a valuable asset to another company.

Moloney also had experience in WWE’s NXT UK brand prior to his NJPW run. He has some acting experience as well. His future remains uncertain, but various opportunities may be open to him very soon.

Steph De Lander Sees WWE Return As Her Destination But She’s In No Rush

0

WWE released a lot of people over the past year or so, including Persia Pirotta. Although that was the end of the road for her in NXT, she did not let that stop her from carrying on in her pro wrestling journey.

Steph De Lander Wants A WWE Return

Now going as Steph De Lander, she still has aspirations for a WWE return. Although her stint in WWE was brief, De Lander has been establishing herself on the independent circuit as the “Indy Goddess” alongside Matt Cardona following her release in 2022.

In a recent interview on the Insight podcast with Chris Van Vliet, the former WWE NXT Superstar shared her immediate thoughts on her WWE departure. She expressed that while returning to WWE is indeed a long-term goal, she is currently in no hurry to re-enter that system.

“I think that’s definitely the end goal, but it’s not like I’m rushing to get there,” De Lander admitted during the interview. She then said that she had a “mentality switch,” and that’s when things started coming together for her.

When I first got released, the first thing I did was I texted Matt Bloom, I said, How do I get my job back? I got him on the phone, I said, What do I need to do? I spent the next couple of weeks like what’s going on? How do we undo this? Then I thought about and I would dream about it all the time, and it was this unhealthy obsession with all I want to do is get back there,”

“Once I kind of let go of that, and I made peace with what I was doing. I realized if I do the indies begrudgingly, and I do it dragging my feet, and I do it not really enjoying it, always looking to the next thing, I’m not going to have fun, and I’m not going to put out my best work. So I kind of had to pack up that WWE box and put it away and really focus on what I was doing. Then have the faith and know that if I do what I need to do, and I work really hard and I commit fully to this. The end result will be I be getting new interest from WWE and from elsewhere, which I have, because of how hot our act is.”

Matt Cardona & Steph De Lander

Matt Cardona and Steph De Lander have been raking up dates on the indie scene, and they’re a bookable pair. She has also been privileged to work with someone like the former Zack Ryder, who was able to make the most out of the indie wrestling scene after his own WWE release, which could be looked at as a blueprint for how that process should be done in a lot of ways.

While De Lander’s desire to make a WWE return proves that the company is the preferred destination for many, the fact that she is so busy on the indies is proof that there is a lot more out there in the world for pro wrestlers.

Afa The Wild Samoan Offers Hopeful Update After Recent Hospitalization

0

Afa The Wild Samoan carved out a huge name for himself in the pro wrestling world, and he comes from an incredibly famous family with a rich legacy in the sport. Now, we have a health update on the legend.

Afa The Wild Samoan Health Update

WWE Hall of Famer Afa Anoa’i recently faced a health scare and was hospitalized.
He was admitted to the hospital on Thursday, January 11th, due to Pneumonia. Then, he suffered a pair of heart attacks, one shortly after his admission and another on Friday.

In a Facebook post by Afa’s daughter Vale, it was mentioned that the heart attacks were “small.” While the legendary figure of the Anoa’i family is reportedly doing okay, it was emphasized that he is not completely out of the woods.

Update on Afa the Wild Samoan, affectionately known as Pops: Afa was admitted to the hospital last night with pneumonia, but had a mild heart attack upon arrival. Today, he had a second small heart attack and was sent for a heart catheterization. He is doing ok, his spirits are high. He isn’t out of the woods yet, but will be kept in the hospital for a day or two for observation and monitoring. He thanks everyone for their concern, continued love, and prayers.

Afa Drops Video Message For Fans

On Sunday, January 14, more posts on Afa’s Facebook page revealed positive news. The Hall of Famer was being discharged from the hospital. Videos accompanying the posts showed Afa walking on his own, expressing gratitude to the hospital staff, and looking forward to returning home to watch football.

Who Is Afa The Wild Samoan

Afa was part of the Wild Samoans alongside his brother Sika. As the uncle of Roman Reigns, Afa made a notable appearance at Hell in a Cell 2020 alongside Sika, presenting Reigns with the Tribal Chief lei, or Ula Fala.

Our best wishes go out to Afa’s entire family, and we hope for his swift and complete recovery.

Sabu Addresses Current Health & Need For Multiple Surgeries

0

Sabu has been an integral part of the wrestling industry, although he was always an outlier in many ways due to his extreme nature. Throughout his career, he displayed a distinctive in-ring style, never straying from his innate ability to leave crowds on the edge of their seats with his high-flying moves and risky choices. All of that took a toll on his body over the years.

Sabu Addresses His Current Health

Sabu has competed in various wrestling promotions, with his unique persona and skills standing out for fans. His legacy is marked by years of bloody hardcore wrestling, and his impact on the wrestling landscape continues to this day.

During a recent appearance on Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw, Sabu opened up about his current health situation. His knee needs some serious work, as does his back and shoulders.

“I’ll tell you, I’ve felt better. I don’t feel really bad, but I feel pretty bad. My knee, my back, and my shoulders, they all need surgery. I’ve been going to the gym lately, but I have to suck it up and go. It’s never, ‘Alright, today I feel good.’ It’s like, ‘fuck,’ and it’s tough… I need my knee and my shoulder replaced, but I haven’t gotten around to it.”

Sabu Wants A Retirement Match

Sabu also stated that he wants a retirement match. This is something that he is apparently working on, and may get that event booked later in 2024. At this time, we do not have any further details.

Sabu’s Recent Career

Sabu has been through a lot in his life, and fans followed him throughout his entire career. The former ECW star has also never fully retired, despite his professional and personal setbacks.

On November 15th, 2014, Melissa Coates began accompanying Sabu to the ring as the “Super Genie.” Those two became quite a pair, in and out of the ring. Sadly, she reportedly passed away in her sleep from COVID-19 complications on June 23rd, 2021. Losing her was a huge blow to his career, as they were booked as a pair for years.

Sabu hasn’t given up on his pro wrestling career yet, and he may have another outing left in him. We will have to see where that match takes place, but he seems to be cooking something up.

Aliyah Reveals Interesting Pro Wrestling Adjacent Booking After WWE Release

0

WWE fans haven’t heard much from Aliyah after she was released from her contract in September 2023. Her non-compete clause is up, and now she is free to take her own bookings. Although this new date on her schedule isn’t a match, it is definitely pro wrestling adjacent.

Aliyah’s Upcoming Gig After WWE Release

Although some talent who were on WWE’s September releases have found a new home in pro wrestling, Aliyah hasn’t made that announcement yet. She is excited about an upcoming gig that she has at a pro wrestling nightclub.

Aliyah took to Instagram, and she shared an update on her life. In a video post, the former WWE Superstar, who is now going as Nhooph, informed her followers about an upcoming event at a ‘Wrestling Nightclub’ in Toronto scheduled for January 26th.

Have you been to a wrestling nightclub before? I’m Nhooph, formerly known as WWE star Aliyah and on January 26th in Toronto, I will be special guest DJing at the Wrestling Nightclub. They’re gonna be having special shots, like this Bloodline drink and we will be playing all of your favorite wrestling theme songs.

https://www.instagram.com/p/p:C2D7VRUNDRT

Aliyah’s WWE Journey

Aliyah dedicated over half a decade of effort in NXT to earn a spot on the WWE main roster. She was even a featured face on the OG WWE Network docuseries Breaking Ground, one that chronicled her start with the company.

She eventually got a main roster call-up, even secured a record-setting pinfall as a singles star. Things were looking up for her during a time, but the company never really got behind her with their booking.

The 29-year-old achieved recognition in the company by winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Raquel Rodriguez in August 2022. Sadly, Aliyah suffered an injury shortly after, resulting in an extended period of inactivity.

In September 2023, she was released from the company without making a single television appearance throughout the year.

RVD Jokes That ‘The Plan’ Is For Him To Get His Flowers After His Death

0

RVD blazed a trail behind him for years that others walked down. He inspired a generation of risk-takers, and helped put ECW on the map as well. Now, as a WWE Hall of Famer in the latter part of his pro wrestling journey, he has the ability to look back and make certain observations, even if they may be a bit morbid.

RVD Speaks On His Legacy

One fan commented on X to say that RVD should get far more love for the contributions that the has made in the pro wrestling world. “My hot take is RVD don’t get enough credit for how much he changed American Pro Wrestling,” they wrote.

The WWE Hall of Famer saw this tweet, and he had a response in the chamber, ready to go. The way that he sees it, he might be in line for a more posthumous celebration of his career.

‘‘I think the plan is to give me credit post humorous…humus…uhm, after I die. [smiling emoji]”

RVD’s Current Status With WWE

Rob Van Dam has been coy about a possible spot on the WrestleMania 40 card in Philadelphia, especially when it came to the idea that he might have lost that invite after his AEW appearances. RVD hasn’t signed any deal with Tony Khan, and his agreement was only on a per appearance deal.

In the past, the Whole F’n Show also admitted that his lack of communication with Triple H might be the reason why he’s not around WWE more often. He was a part of the 2023 WWE Draft, but he hasn’t been back on their programming since.

WWE Referee Jason Ayers Out Of Action With Leg Injury

0

WWE Superstars aren’t the only people who take risks in the ring. Injuries can appear when you least expect them, even for referees. Now, Jason Ayers is taking a bit of a break after suffering an unexpected affliction.

WWE Referee Jason Ayers Out Of Action

Injuries are a regular occurrence in professional wrestling, affecting not only wrestlers but also referees. WWE referee Jason Ayers shared on Instagram that he is now sidelined due to a leg injury.

Along with a sign that said that it has been zero days since an incident occurred, one similar to something you’d see on the floor of a factory, the WWE referee posted to let fans know that he’s taking a mandatory hiatus from the ring.

“When they say “break a leg” I don’t think this is what they meant. Looks like I’ll be on the sidelines for the next couple months!”

https://www.instagram.com/p/p:C2BtFaAujzn

Jason Ayers’ Time In WWE

After starting his in-ring career in 1998, Jason Ayers worked the indies for a while. Then, his career changed forever when Ayers began as a referee for Ring of Honor in May 2005 at Nowhere to Run. In January 2010, Jason began with both Dragon Gate USA and EVOLVE,

Ayers has been a part of WWE since 2012, as he was with FCW prior to the NXT change. He officiated many important matches, including the finals of the NXT Tag Team Championship tournament, crowning the first champions, Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey on January 31st, 2013. He went on to get his main roster call-up, where he remains to this day.

Ayers doesn’t seem too discouraged by this injury situation. His little quip about breaking a leg showed that he, at least, has some humor still. Now, he will have to take it easy as his injury mends.

Sonya Deville Making Progress Toward WWE Return

0

Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green were going with new momentum as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Then an unexpected injury struck Deville as she tore her ACL on July 28th. There are now some updates, as she is working hard to make a return to the ring.

Sonya Deville Working Toward Return From Injury

Deville may have experienced a career-altering knee injury, but she is working toward her return to the ring. That includes a visit to the WWE Performance Center.

According to PW Insider, Sonya Deville was spotted in Birmingham last week. She has also been present at the WWE Performance Center over the past several days.

It was reported that Deville’s time at the PC is dedicated to the recovery process following an ACL tear sustained in August. At this time, there is no definite return timetable for Deville.

WWE’s Abandoned Plan For Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville

In July, WrestleVotes reported that WWE had big plans for Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville’s tag team. It was said that the company looked at them as people who could “stabilize” the WWE women’s division.

“There is a feeling of optimism from the company around the new Women’s Tag Champs in Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville, with hopes the two can “stabilize” the tag titles with a substantial run as champions.”

Sonya Deville was able to get a gun charge settled during her hiatus. That ACL situation is her first major injury while in WWE, and it had terrible timing as well. She isn’t sitting at home though, because a WWE return is now on the horizon for her, whenever her doctors give the green light.

Shad Gaspard Memorial Cup Announced in Tribute to Hero Wrestler

0

An eight-man tournament in memory of the late Shad Gaspard will begin later this year, it has been confirmed.

Gaspard is best known for his time in WWE where he competed as part of the Cryme Tyme faction. In 2020, Gaspard heroically gave his life to save his son when they were caught in a rip current at Venice Beach. After his passing, a petition was made seeking to create more safety features at beaches to avoid similar tragedies

In 2022, Shad was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as that year’s Warrior Award recipient. Shad was represented by his wife Siliana, his son Aryeh, and long-time tag-team partner JTG.

The Shad Gaspard Memorial Cup Tournament

In a video shared by the Love Alive Charity, D’Angelo Dinero spoke about how Shad gave so much to those around him. Dinero also spoke about Shad giving “the ultimate gift” as a father to his son.  Dinero added that Shad’s memory and impact on wrestling and those who knew him best will live on forever.

With the permission of Shad’s wife Siliana Gaspard, D’Angelo announced the Inaugural Shad Gaspard Memorial Cup Tournament for April 20. The tournament will be hosted by the Love Alive Charity. Dinero said that the tournament will allow those involved to “let out our inner beast” for a good cause.

The tournament will take place at the Murray Hill Baptist Church Gymnasium in Jacksonville, Florida. Doors for the show will open at 6 pm local time, with bell time at 7 pm.

Dax Harwood: AEW Dynamite is the Sports Entertainment Show, Collision is for Sport

0

Fans can find a more sports-orientated product on AEW Collision compared to the show’s Wednesday-night counterpart, according to Dax Harwood.

AEW Collision launched in June of last year, becoming the promotion’s third weekly wrestling show on TV. Collision follows on from Dynamite (launched in 2019) and Rampage (launched in 2021.)

Dax Harwood on Collision and Dynamite

FTR has been a staple of AEW Collision since the beginning. The pair quickly became allies of CM Punk when Punk returned to AEW programming as part of the first Collision. Speaking to WTKR, Dax Harwood compared Collision to Dynamite.

“Dynamite could be more of your sports entertainment based show and I think Collision is more of your sports based show. On Collision, we like to feature that knockdown, drag out hard-hitting style.”

Cash Wheeler also had praise for AEW’s newest weekly TV show.

“They’re really fun shows, especially on a Saturday night. There’s plenty of time to come in, have a great time, and get out by 10:00 and still have your Saturday night.”

The Ultimate Goal

For FTR, being one of the top teams in professional wrestling is nothing short of a dream come true. In the interview, Harwood said as a kid, he dreamed of being a wrestler or a power ranger.

“I was allowed to be a professional wrestler. Living that dream on national television every single week, the greatest tag team of all time, ten time world tag team champions, those are the things that you dream about.”

Wheeler chimed in about the impact wrestling has had on them and what is the ultimate goal.

“Wrestling has legitimately saved our lives. To leave wrestling better than we found is the ultimate goal.”

Has FTR figured out the ‘real’ reason for Eric Bischoff’s criticism of AEW?

Watch: What Happened With Adam Copeland After AEW Battle Of The Belts IX

0

It appears that the Undisputed Kingdom has found their match in Adam Copeland and his friends.

AEW presented the ninth Battle of The Belts special from Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia after this week’s episode of Collision.

The show was headlined by the AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy defending his title against Preston Vance. The Undisputed Kingdom all came out for this match and sat on the ramp during the bout.

Towards the ending of the fight, Cassidy took out the faction and Vance also flipped them off. Orange Cassidy then successfully retained his title using the Orange Punch and Stundog Millionaire.

The Undisputed Kingdom finally came down the ring after the bout ended. While they didn’t attack the International Champion, the broadcast ended with Roderick Strong telling Cassidy that his time was over.

This wasn’t the end of the show however. The feed continued even after this and the team of Danial Garcia and FTR, led by Adam Copeland came out and attacked the Kingdom. This newly formed alliance took out the faction with Orange Cassidy getting the final shot at Roderick Strong before he retreated from the ring.

Elsewhere in the show, Julia Hart successfully defended her TBS title against Anna Jay and the duo of Ricky Starks & Big Bill managed to outlast Sammy Guevara & Chris Jericho in a crazy street fight to retain their tag titles.

Though Battle of The Belts wasn’t the only place AEW stars were making headlines. An interesting name that hadn’t been seen on any wrestling programming since last year made his return during NJPW’s Battle In The Valley. You can check that out here.

TNA Wrestling Announces Partnership with Lucha Libre AAA at Hard to Kill

0

The new era of TNA Wrestling will see the promotion work alongside Lucha Libre AAA to bring the most exciting stars of both companies to a greater number of fans.

During Hard to Kill, TNA President Scott D’Amore and Lucha Libra AAA Worldwide CEO Dorian Roldán Peña appeared in front of the fans in Las Vegas, Nevada. D’Amore said that TNA has already been about collaboration and spoke about the mutually beneficial partnership TNA and Lucha Libre AAA have enjoyed over many years.

Roldán Peña thanked Scott for inviting AAA to TNA, and said he has been thinking about how he could bring more luchadors and Lucha Libre to the U.S. He added that with the flair of Lucha Libre AAA stars and the intensity of TNA talent, they will change the landscape of wrestling over the next year.

TNA Wrestling & Lucha Libre AAA

This upcoming partnership will hardly be the first time that the two promotions have teamed up. TNA Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA began a working agreement in 2015, and in 2018, announced a partnership with the AAA-affiliated Lucha Underground. This allowed for AAA wrestlers to appear for TNA (IMPACT Wrestling at the time) on a regular basis.

In April 2018, the two promotions held Impact vs Lucha Underground from WrestleCon in New Orleans to a sell-out crowd. The following year, IMPACT and Lucha Libre AAA would co-promote the Ultra Clash supershow in the Monterrey, Mexico area. This event marked IMPACT’s first show in Mexico since 2019.

TNA Hard to Kill went off the air with a massive debut…

WWE’s Dana Brooke Arrives in TNA Wrestling as Ash by Elegance

0

Former WWE Superstar Dana Brooke will bring her own sense of elegance to TNA after making her debut at Hard to Kill.

TNA Hard to Kill took place last night and marked the official relaunch of the promotion. The change from IMPACT to TNA Wrestling was announced at Bound for Glory in October 2023. As Alex Shelley told SE Scoops, the fan response to the change was even better than the high expectations those in TNA/IMPACT had for the move.

Ash By Elegance Arrives in TNA Wrestling

At TNA Hard to Kill, Trinity lost the TNA Knockouts World Championship to Jordynne Grace. Before the match began though, Brooke appeared in the crowd, with a nameplate reading ‘Ash by Elegance.’ The former Superstar was certainly dressed to impress at the show, wearing a bedazzled outfit and white fur coat.

In a bold move, the TNA commentary team made reference to her time as Dana Brooke and mentioned both her WWE name and her former employer, by name.

Ash By Elegance

This was Ash’s first appearance in wrestling since her release from WWE in September 2023. Ash had been part of the NXT roster at the time of her release. During a media call, NXT head Shawn Michaels admitted that her release caught him and the NXT backstage team by surprise.

Ash By Elegance competed for WWE from 2015 until last year. During her tenure, she became a 15-time WWE 24/7 Champion. She would also rack up the second-most days with the gold, only behind R-Truth.

Trinity Gets Emotional After Knockouts Title Loss at TNA Hard to Kill, Wants Rematch

0

TNA Wrestling’s Trinity was understandably emotional after losing her Knockouts World Championship at Hard to Kill 2024.

In the penultimate match of the evening, Trinity lost the title to Jordynne Grace in 14:30. Grace earned a shot at the gold by winning the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound for Glory in October 2023. She was the first woman to win the Call Your Shot Gauntlet. Last night’s victory marks Grace’s third Knockouts World Championship win after previously capturing the gold in January 2020 and at Slammiversary in June 2022.

Trinity Reacts

Trinity had held the Knockouts World Championship since Slammiversary 2023 when she dethroned Deonna Purrazzo in July of that year. Understandably, the Glow was emotional after her title loss, as seen in clips shared online.

What’s Next for Trinity?

Trinity’s Knockouts World Championship has ended and she’s hungry to regain the gold. On Twitter, Trinity made it clear she wants a rematch with Jordynne Grace.

Leaving TNA Wrestling?

Trinity left Hard to Kill without the Knockouts World Championship and could be leaving TNA Wrestling altogether soon enough. Trinity is expected to finish her TNA run at the promotion’s next set of tapings. She is also expected to make her return to WWE later this month as part of the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match.

Trinity, then Naomi, walked out of WWE in May 2022 alongside Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks). The two had different ideas about the creative plans at the time. The then-WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions felt that their title run was being overlooked as WWE had plans for singles feuds for both women.

Trinity isn’t the only surprising name the WWE Universe should expect to see at the Royal Rumble…

Mercedes Mone & Bayley Spotted Watching Trinity’s TNA Wrestling Hard To Kill Match

0

Trinity Fatu battled Jordynne Grace at TNA Wrestling’s Hard to Kill event. The pro wrestling world was watching, and she had two very special friends who were also there to see her big match.

Mercedes Mone & Bayley Spotted At TNA Wrestling Hard To Kill

TNA Wrestling hosted their Hard to Kill event on pay-per-view. The event featured noteworthy moments, such as Trinity Fatu’s potential final match in the company.

It was previously reported that the current thought is that Naomi will make her return to WWE. So, Fatu lost her Knockouts Title to Jordynne Grace, marking her 3rd reign with the title.

During Hard to Kill, Mercedes Mone and Bayley were seen behind the French announce team’s table, witnessing the matchup between Trinity and Jordynne Grace. They were not shown on screen during the actual pay-per-view event.

Both Bayley and Money were decked out in shades, and beanies, but they were still spotted. It was obvious who they were, but the two stayed off the radar, because they were not there to be a focus.

What’s Next For Mercedes Mone

As of right now, Mercedes Mone appears to be heading to AEW, but she has not debuted for the company yet. It was reported that talks with WWE stalled, because they were far apart with money.

Even if Mercedes Mone and Bayley end up in different wrestling companies, they are still very close. Their presence at Hard to Kill also proves that Naomi has their support.

Nic Nemeth Debuts at TNA Hard to Kill, First Match Announced

0

The ‘Wanted Man’ of professional wrestling Nic Nemeth has arrived in TNA Wrestling after making his debut for the promotion at the Hard to Kill event.

In the main event of TNA Hard to Kill, Moose dethroned Alex Shelley to become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. After the match, Nemeth made his debut by confronting the new champion in the ring.

Watch Nic Nemeth’s TNA Debut

Things got physical between the two and Nemeth would get the best of Moose. After the brawl, Nemeth went into the crowd and ripped off his shirt to reveal a TNA shirt underneath.

Nemeth’s First TNA Match

Nic Nemeth made quite the ‘impact’ with his TNA Wrestling debut, and it won’t be long before fans see him in the ring. It has been confirmed that Nemeth will compete at the TNA Snake Eyes event that’ll take place in Las Vegas today. Nemeth will take on The Rascalz’ Zachary Wentz.

Wrestling’s ‘Wanted Man’

Nemeth is best known for his time with WWE as Dolph Ziggler, a run that saw him become a two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Dolph Ziggler was among those released by WWE in September 2023, as part of the first wave of cuts following the launch of TKO Group Holdings.

The release of the Show-Off led to several people in the industry sharing tributes to his WWE run, including John Cena. Nemeth has since admitted that he was being paid to sit at home and do nothing during the latter stages of his WWE career. More recently, Nemeth reintroduced himself as wrestling’s ‘Wanted Man’ with a zombie-apocalypse-themed video

TNA Wrestling isn’t the only place fans can see Nic Nemeth…

Watch: ‘Scapegoat’ Jack Perry Tears Up AEW Contract In Surprise Return At NJPW Battle In The Valley

0

Jack Perry has returned to wrestling, but not for AEW.

The former FTW Champion has been absent from wrestling since August last year with little to no update about his status with Tony Khan’s promotion.

He finally made his return to the wrestling scene tonight. In a surprising turn of events, Perry made an appearance during NJPW’s Battle In The Valley event.

The former champion attacked Shota Umino during the show. Interestingly, after taking out Umino, Jack Perry tore up an AEW contract and then put on an armband that read ‘scapegoat’

All this is in reference to his backstage confrontation with the former AEW Champion CM Punk at the All In event last year that led to Punk’s release from the company.

Perry who had been advised by Punk to not use real glass during an episode of Collision made a reference to it during his match with Hook at the Wembly show.

This led to Punk confronting the young star at gorilla after his bout. This confrontation turned into a physical brawl soon enough with Punk even exchanging words with Tony Khan himself.

The Straight Edge Star had subsequently been fired by the company due to his actions. Jack Perry on the other hand had been put on an indefinite suspension and had not been seen since the PPV before tonight’s NJPW show.

The Best Moments From TNA Hard To Kill 2024 – Ex WWE Superstars Debut, Title Changes, & More

0

TNA Wrestling brought their Hard to Kill event to pay-per-view on January 12th. That event also marked the company’s official re-branding effort, and there were a lot of moments that stood out during the show.

AJ Francis Makes Shakes Up Hard To Kill

AJ Francis and DJ Whoo Kid debuted a new music video. Then Joe Hendry came out to shake things up. Whoo Kid blindsided Hendry, and then Francis nailed a chokeslam on him.

New TNA Digital Media Champion

Tommy Dreamer received a brand-new TNA Digital Media Championship from Scott D’Amore in the lead-up to Hard To Kill. Dreamer was set to defend his title against Crazzy Steve.

After a pretty insane match, Crazzy Steve picked up the TNA Digital Media Title from Dreamer, after winning clean.

Knockouts Ultimate-X Match

Gisele Shaw vs. Xia Brookside vs. Jody Threat vs. Tasha Steelz vs. Alisha Edwards vs. Dani Luna lit up Hard to Kill in a big way. Those women left it all in the ring.

Ultimately, Gisele Shaw secured victory in this intense and hard-fought contest, earning the crowd’s appreciation for her impressive efforts. The audience expressed their gratitude with chants of “Thank you, Knockouts,” acknowledging the incredible performance.

New Debut Teased

TNA Wrestling promised a new star, and they teased their arrival during Hard to Kill. Judging by the back view fans received, that definitely narrows down the possible options for the company’s big surprise.

New Knockouts Tag Team Champions Crowned

Rosemary and Havok became the new Knockouts Tag Team Champions, as they defeated MJ Ultra. This marked the second title change of the night after the Digital Media Title.

Chris Sabin Retains X-Division Title

Chris Sabin vs. Kushida vs. El Hijo del Vikingo went down for the X-Division Title. This was a pretty wild match, but in the end, Sabin retained.

Alexander Hammerstone Makes His TNA Wrestling Debut

Alexander Hammersone made his TNA Wrestling debut at Hard to Kill, where he took on former World Champion Josh Alexander. Sean Ross Sapp reported that the former MLW star has not signed a deal with the company yet, so this is a per appearance deal.

Hammerstone and Alexander delivered plenty of chops and strikes. The TNA newcomer hit a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall, and then they continued until Josh Alexander scored the victory with the C4 Spike.

Grizzled Young Veterans Make TNA Wrestling Debut

Grizzled Young Veterans were not happy in NXT, where they were the Dyad and member of Joe Gacy’s Schism faction. They asked for their releases, and those were granted. Then it was time for them to take on the rest of the pro wrestling world without the creative baggage.

They were a part of the match for the brand-new TNA Tag Team Championships with ABC, The Rascalz, and Laredo Kid & Mike Bailey. Laredo Kid was a late change, as Trent Seven couldn’t make the show due to travel issues. In the end, Chris Bey and Ace Austin retained their titles.

Dana Brooke Makes TNA Wrestling Debut

Brooke was released in September, and her 90-day non-compete clause is over. TNA hyped a big debut, and it appears that the former WWE Superstar fit the bill.

Going as Ash By Elegance, she sat at ringside to survey the action for Trinity Fatu’s Knockouts Title defense against Jordynne Grace.

New TNA Knockouts Champion Crowned

Jodynne Grace battled Trinity Fatu for her Knockouts Title. In the end, Grace won the match and became champion. This was somewhat expected, because the former Naomi is expected to make her WWE return very soon.

Moose Wins TNA World Title

Alex Shelley defended the TNA World Title against Moose in the main event match. In the end, Moose won the title to exit Hard to Kill as champion, but the company had another big surprise in store.

Nic Nemeth Debuts For TNA Wrestling

Nemeth, former WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler, showed up after the main event match. He jumped Moose, and then made it very clear that he is now with TNA Wrestling.

Now with two more ex WWE Superstars on their roster with Nemeth and Ash By Elegance, TNA Wrestling kicked off their 2024 with a successful re-branding and an exciting event.

CM Punk’s WWE Elimination Chamber Status Confirmed

0

WWE Elimination Chamber is coming to Perth on February 24th, 2024, and CM Punk won’t miss the show. This should give his fans Down Under a real reason to get excited.

CM Punk Is Going To Elimination Chamber

FOX Sports Australia has officially announced CM Punk’s involvement in the upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. The specifics of his match or role have not been officially disclosed, leaving fans curious about the nature of his contribution.

For the first time in over a decade the WWE great will wrestle in Australia, with Fox Sports Australia exclusively able to reveal CM Punk will feature at Perth’s WWE Elimination Chamber show next month.

More Stars Confirmed For WWE Elimination Chamber Event

Logan Paul and Rhea Ripley are also anticipated for the event. It’s also noteworthy that the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, is not currently advertised for Elimination Chamber.

As we previously covered, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Roman Reigns nor The Rock are booked for Elimination Chamber. That being said, it will still be a huge show in Perth.

CM Punk has his eye on a WrestleMania main event, and Elimination Chamber will stand as the final premium live event before the showcase of the immortals. Since fans can expect Punk at the Chamber event, it’s a safe bet he will be in a marquee match.

Jimmy Hart On Hulk Hogan Working The Royal Rumble: “I Think He Could Do Whatever He Wants To Do”

0

The 2024 WWE Royal Rumble is almost here, and fans have been speculating who could be making an appearance. Typically, with the annual event, WWE showcases wrestlers from the past and present to compete in a Royal Rumble match. Although it is unclear who will be a surprise entrant this year, it has led to people throwing out names they’d like to see involved, including Hulk Hogan.

WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart recently appeared on the Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg to reflect on his career.

During the interview, Rosenberg asked Hart if Hogan could compete in the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble Match with his current health. Rosenberg noted that Hogan is not in shape to have a match but wondered about his willingness to be protected and thrown over the ropes safely in the match.

Hulk Hogan Posing At Gym

“The Mouth Of The South”  shared that he believes Hogan could still compete.

“…For some reason, even when we are at the Beach Shop here, and these matches come on, the matches he used to be in, all of a sudden it’s like he’s Popeye The Sailor Man,” said Hart.

He continued, “…He Hulks up, and all of a sudden, I think he could do whatever he wants to do, but I’m telling you what, he could still throw those punches. He could also use a chair if he had to, but I think the fans wouldn’t really care. They would love to have him there, but they wouldn’t care if he could throw a punch or if he couldn’t just to be in the building with Hulkamania and do that; they would be so thrilled for him.”

Jimmy Hart On Hulk Hogan’s Current Health & Status

Although Hart believes Hogan could work the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble Match, the chances seem slim. The former WWE Champion has a history of health issues, which would make the decision difficult for WWE to allow him to compete.

That said, Hart shared that Hogan is in great shape and in a good place.

“…Hulk and I talk about every couple of days, and I’m always concerned about his health, but right now, he’s doing phenomenal and he works out religiously. Twice a day, believe this or not, twice a day, and if you looked at him, you wouldn’t think anything is wrong with him. He looks just how he used to look,” said Hart.

“The Mouth Of The South” also noted that Hogan is enjoying what WWE is doing and looks forward to doing something with the company again.

“…He loves the talent. He watches Roman Reigns. He watches Seth(Rollins). He loves Cody(Rhodes). He thinks that what Triple H is doing up there is phenomenal, and like I said, whenever they call us to do something, we are always there,” said Hart.

For now, it seems unlikely WWE will have Hogan in a match. However, as WWE WrestleMania 40 approaches in April, “Hulkamania” could make another return to celebrate the milestone achievement

Corey Graves Reveals New Unofficial Role In WWE

0

Corey Graves is a veteran in WWE at this point, and his willingness to extend his roles in the company haven’t stopped. He is now lending his expertise and opinions to different facets of the WWE production process.

Corey Graves’ New Unofficial Role In WWE

Corey Graves is best-known today as a member of WWE’s commentary team. He has also recently taken on additional responsibilities within the company.

During a conversation with Bill Apter on Wrestle Binge, the former WWE 24/7 Champion shed light on his expanded role in WWE, diving into unofficial tasks within the television studio.

Those new responsibilities for the Savior of Misbehavior involve contributing to the production of various elements. Graves is definitely showing off his versatility beyond his usual commentary duties.

“I have kind of unofficially taken on some responsibilities in the television studio, and as far as producing little bits and pieces. I don’t have an official role doing any of that, but I kind of get to lend my expertise. or opinion at least on a lot of different things.”

Corey Graves Has A Good Life

Graves won’t shut down an in-ring return of some kind. He has been medically cleared from the concussions that ended his career as an NXT Superstar.

Carmella and the WWE announcer celebrated the birth of their first child, a son named Dimitri, on November 8th. So, he has a lot to be happy about in his personal life along with his professional endeavors.

AJ Francis Believes WWE Never Had A Plan In Place For Hit Row

0

Hit Row made their return to WWE after Triple H took control of power. Vince McMahon fired the entire stable previously, and Swerve Strickland went to AEW before Triple H could do anything about it. Now, Hit Row is no more after Top Dolla’s release, but he doesn’t believe there were any plans to begin with.

Hit Row’s Second Run In WWE

Top Dolla was released from WWE in September, and now he is a free agent as AJ Francis once again. As rumors of a TNA in-ring debut are strong, due to his planned music video debut at Hard to Kill, he has vivid memories of his time in WWE.

While speaking to Busted Open Radio, the former Top Dolla opened up about his time in WWE. He feels as though the company never had a plan for Hit Row.

“I feel like they didn’t have an idea how to use Hit Row. I feel like the idea of the hip-hop stable just didn’t really gell with what they had creatively and what they wanted to do creatively. They had different plans for the three of us. I’m just happy that Briana and Tehuti, which are B-Fab and Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis are still there. I’m happy they’re still getting money. I’m happy that they seem to be getting involved on the show. I have no ill will towards anyone there. It’s just now I got to worry about me. I don’t care about anybody else but me. That’s why I don’t want to be in no factions. I don’t want to be in no groups or tag teams. I’m tired of people pretending that I need other people. I can do it by myself and I’m going to do it by myself.”

AJ Francis Got A Weird Feeling

AJ Francis went on to say that, during his second run in WWE, he noticed a significant difference in his relationship with Triple H, characterized by mutual respect.

He acknowledged Paul Heyman as a strong supporter of his as well, but that might have been the extent of it. There were instances when he felt unwelcome, perceiving it through the energy and body language in the Gorilla Position during matches.

I don’t know how to say it other than like, sometimes I just never felt welcome. Like when other talent would be in Gorilla, like, I would go in Gorilla and watch people’s matches, and I would watch the dark matches, and I would watch during the show, and I just didn’t feel like I was supposed to be there. I just felt like the energy around was like, I shouldn’t be in there. I don’t know why I felt that way.

Despite no explicit objections, the atmosphere left AJ Francis with a sense of not belonging. Every Friday on SmackDown, AJ would show up, sometimes alone, running spots in the ring, often with a ghost partner. Collaborating with William Regal and others, he also said he gave his all in dark matches, aiming to engage the crowd and cut promos, but the consistent dislike from the audience towards Hit Row suggested a lack of plans for the group.

Things took a big turn for Hit Row, especially after LA Knight verbally dismantled the faction. It wasn’t long until they were never seen on television as a faction again.

Hit Row Members Left In WWE

In the end, Francis was released, while B-Fab and Ashante Thee Adonis were left on the blue brand. B-Fab was featured speaking with Bobby Lashley as he created his new stable, but nothing ever came from that.

Adonis was recently spotted in a backstage segment with Nick Aldis, where he was asking for an opportunity. We will have to see if there are finally some plans for them in WWE.

WWE Teases Problems For Longtime Stable

0

WWE has a history of fantastic stables, and some of them last a long time, forging an undeniable impression with fans. The O.C. has definitely been through a lot in WWE, with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows’ release in between the stable’s runs with the company, but they may be nearing an end.

Possible Issues In The O.C.

The turmoil within The O.C. is still going, and cracks are starting to show. Uncle Allan might be growing impatient with Michin in the process.

A digital exclusive from WWE showed Michin seeking advice from Styles after her loss to Women’s Champion IYO SKY last week. She wanted to ask him if he had any advice for her after seeing the match.

Styles only asked, “Did you win?” and walked away after she shook her head to indicate that she was unable to pull down victory.

The issues within The OC arose when Styles took a two-month hiatus after an attack by Solo Sikoa. He was originally slated to team with John Cena at Fastlane, but then he was replaced by LA Knight.

Start Of Possible Issues For The O.C.

Styles returned on December 15th, and he was placed on top of the card. He first showed up to help Knight and Orton against The Bloodline, but then he made it clear that he’s all about his own success after attacking Knight.

At SmackDown: New Year’s Revolution, Styles ignored The O.C. when they greeted him, because he was upset about their lack of support when taken out by The Bloodline months earlier. The stable is not fully disbanded, but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see a dismantling eventually.

These developments suggest a potential split within The OC, but WWE has teased similar scenarios in the past, only to provide wrestlers with a fresh start. It remains to be seen if The OC will strengthen or if plans are in motion to dissolve the group. Those words from AJ Styles might also just be tough love from AJ Styles as he motivates Michin to continue her way up the women division’s ranks.

AJ Styles is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble in a Fatal 4-Way match. That match will also include Randy Orton and LA Knight. Perhaps this situation with the O.C. will escalate further at Tropicana Field.
