Grayson Waller Trolls Lexis King With Tiger King Comparison

0

Grayson Waller embodies the role of a heel on and off screen in WWE. Not only does Kevin Owens want to knock him out, but Lexis King may want to hit him as well.

Grayson Waller’s inclination towards trolling extends to fans and peers, with Lexis King being the recent target of his focus. The fact that his last name is King, and he has a mullet, set Waller up for a slam dunk troll.

Brian Pillman Jr., left AEW earlier this year, after his contract expired. He transitioned to the WWE Performance Center. He recently entered NXT, gradually carving out a presence and working towards stardom as Lexis King.

Lexis King is now a notable figure in NXT, as he adopted a brand-new heel attitude. This transformation, particularly in the way he groomed his beard, has become a subject of mockery.

Garyson Waller responded to a question on his Instagram story about which NXT Superstar would receive the “Grayson Waller rub” next, with Lexis King being his choice, illustrated with a photo of Tiger King star Joe Exotic.

Lexis King wrestled in an unsuccessful match against Carmelo Hayes at the NXT Deadline Premium Live Event. The upcoming weeks will reveal WWE’s plans for Lexis King and his trajectory in the promotion, but odds are they have big things in store for him.

Although Lexis King didn’t win at NXT Deadline, he still thanked Carmelo Hayes for the premium live event rub. He also admitted that he wasn’t the man who attacked Trick Williams, adding even more intrigue to that story.

Goldberg Unleashes Signature Spear on Tom Brady Fan During NFL Game

0

Goldberg is known for his spear, something he brought countless opponents down with over the years. Although he is a semi-retired WWE Hall of Famer, Goldberg can still break out the spear when the moment calls for it.

Goldberg is presently without a contract following the expiration of his WWE agreement. The topic of his retirement match continues to be a noteworthy discussion point. He wants a match in Israel to wrap up his career, something that was in the works several months ago.

Although Goldberg isn’t wrestling right now, he proved he can still get physical while at a recent NFL game. The WWE Hall of Famer put on quite a show on the gridiron.

Video footage circulating online captures Goldberg’s appearance at the Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers game, where he executed a spear on a Tom Brady supporter. Accompanied by his signature ‘Who’s next?’ catchphrase and theme music, he made a distinctive impact.

It remains uncertain whether Goldberg will secure his retirement match like he wants it. The possibility of Goldberg’s return to pro wrestling is uncertain, and only time will reveal the outcome in this situation. It’s good to see that he is still getting out there, even if it isn’t in a pro wrestling ring.

You can check out a video of Goldberg’s spear in the space below. Keep checking back with SE Scoops for more updates.

Dolph Ziggler’s Next Pro Wrestling Match Revealed Post WWE Release

0

WWE fired over 100 employees for their corporate offices right after their TKO Group Holdings deal went through. That was followed by a string of roster releases, and Dolph Ziggler’s name was a part of that list. Now, we know where the Show-Off will land next.

While Dolph Ziggler is currently involved in comedy shows, as Mick Foley’s opening act on the road, that’s not the sole focus of his post-WWE activities. The official announcement reveals that Dolph Ziggler is set to join the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico.

As reported by Lucha Libre Online, Ziggler will engage in a match against Puerto Rican wrestling veteran Ray Gonzalez at the promotion’s annual Euphoria event on January 6th, 2024. Ziggler will be using his real name, Nic Nemeth, for this upcoming bout.

The two-time World Heavyweight Champion in WWE, The Most Wanted Man, Nic Nemeth, will have his first fight in Puerto Rico. His selected opponent, The Greatest of all time in Puerto Rico, Ray González.

Will Mr. Rayting accept the challenge? WWC presents Three Kings Day, on Saturday, January 6 at 6:00 pm at the Mayagüez Sports and Recreation Palace. Euphoria, on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 8:00 pm at Pepín Cestero in Bayamón. Tickets are on sale at Rayting Mini Market at the Bo. Mameyal in Dorado. If you buy your ticket at Rayting Mini Market you get a photo with Ray González

Additionally, Dolph Ziggler’s participation in MCW Fan Jam 2 in February next year has been confirmed. The duration until The Showoff returns to a major pro wrestling promotion remains uncertain, but 2024 appears to be a significant year for the former WWE Superstar.

Dolph Ziggler is recognized for his skills in the wrestling ring during his tenure with WWE, faced a release from the company in September. It looks like he’s not going to let that get him down at all.

We will have to see what Dolph Ziggler does next. His WWE non-compete clause isn’t up yet, but it seems that he will do what he wants to at this point in his career.

Where do you think Dolph Ziggler will end up next? Do you believe he is on his way to AEW? Let us know what you think by engaging with us on social media!

Charlotte Flair Pulled From The Road After Injury During 12/8 WWE SmackDown

0

WWE Superstars put their bodies on the line every time they step in the ring. Sadly, now a top Superstar seems to be out of action, but it’s unknown how long that hiatus will last for Charlotte Flair.

On the December 8th episode of WWE SmackDown, Charlotte Flair faced Asuka in a singles showdown. With Damage CTRL ringside, the battle was intense, but in the end, The Queen fell short against The Empress of Tomorrow.

What followed raised concerns among fans and WWE talent alike. Reports started circulating that Charlotte Flair might have sustained an injury during the match. In a distressing moment, she was seen clutching her knee and crying out, “My knee!” Medical personnel rushed to her side after the match, adding to the apprehension surrounding her condition.

The latest update, as reported by PW Insider, is that Charlotte Flair has been pulled from WWE’s live events scheduled for this week, events for which she was originally slated to appear. The extent of her knee injury remains uncertain at this point, leaving many in the wrestling community worried about the severity of the issue.

There is video of the spot where it is believed Charlotte Flair suffered her injury. It’s hard to watch, especially knowing that it took The Queen out of action.

Now, Charlotte Flair is off the road, but there is also no public injury report on her status. We are hoping for the best, because WWE is gearing up for the road to WrestleMania very soon.

We’re sending our best to Charlotte Flair as she hopefully makes a speedy road to recovery. For more updates, please keep checking back with SE Scoops.

AEW Discussing Plan To Bring Absent Star Back To Television

0

AEW has a few people who are out of action for one reason or another. Right now, Rebel is on the verge of breaking a huge streak in her career, because she hasn’t been seen on television in a very long time.

Rebel hasn’t been on AEW television in quite some time, but she’s still been under contract with the company. Now, we have a bit of an update about her current status.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that Rebel hasn’t been backstage much during her absence from AEW television. She is open to make a television return, and there are currently some internal talks to make that happen.

When asking around, we’re told that Rebel hasn’t been backstage much during her absence from All Elite Wrestling, but has been open to returning to TV if asked. When we followed up on that, we were told there were some internal talks about her possibly being back on television, but specifics or a likelihood of that happening wasn’t revealed. We were told there weren’t working plans for her to wrestle. She has publicly expressed her desire to wrestle on the indies next year.

Rebel has been on television every year since 2014 as part of some pro wrestling company. This might change this year if she doesn’t wrestle, because she hasn’t been seen in 2023.

Rebel used to appear on a regular basis, as she worked alongside Britt Baker. However, she hasn’t been on television since Britt Baker turned babyface. It was also noted that Rebel also quit her job in the makeup department at AEW.

We will have to see if Rebel makes a return to television any time soon. Right now, there are a lot more questions than answers about her current absence.

What’s your take on Rebel’s absence from AEW television? Do you miss seeing her around? Let us know what you think by engaging with us on social media!

Kazuchika Okada Set For An Exciting Match At Snake Eyes

0

Kazuchika Okada is set to make his return to TNA Wrestling and his returning match has been announced.

Impact Wrestling is reverting back to TNA Wrestling once again next month. The promotion will usher in a new era with TNA Hard To Kill on Saturday, January 13 from The Palms in Las Vegas.

It has been announced that the following night, TNA will host another show ‘Snake Eyes’ from the same venue. They also recently announced the huge news that NJPW/AEW star Will Ospreay will wrestle in a TNA ring at Snake Eyes. Well, Ospreay is not the only one to make a huge mark on the show.

A blockbuster announcement was made regarding Okada’s return to the promotion for the first time since 2011. It has now been announced that he will team up with Motor City Machine Guns in his returning match. Motor City Machine Guns recently teamed up with El Hijo del Vikingo and defeated Los Vipers (Abismo Negro Jr. & Latigo) & Trey Miguel.

On December 9, at IMPACT Final Resolution, it was revealed that Okada would make his long-awaited TNA comeback by teaming up with Motor City Machine Guns to face Moose, Brian Myers, and Eddie Edwards in a six-man tag match.

Okada is currently one-third of the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championships with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii. There have been a buzz about Okada becoming a free agent at the end of January. Though he is making his return to TNA Wrestling, the possibilities of signing with a different promotion still remains intact.

Seth Rollins Doesn’t Want You To Lose Faith In Humanity Due To Airport Collectors

0

Celebrities being harassed by people at airports and other public places is a glaring issue. Many wrestling stars have spoken up about this and names such as The Undertaker, Rhea Ripley, and Kris Statlander have all called out the so-called fans for disrespectful behavior. Being one of the most well-known wrestlers of our time, Seth Rollins has also faced these issues, but he is not losing his faith in humanity over it.

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion discussed this topic in his new interview with Sports Illustrated Media podcast. He was asked about his experience at a recent Disneyland trip with his daughter. Seth Rollins explained that while he did encounter some people who don’t know how to react, most who approached him were very respectful knowing that he was with family:

“You know, it’s funny in a big place like that we often get…like people aren’t expecting to see you so they’re not even really paying attention. You get a fair share of folks coming up asking for photos or just wanting to say hello but I do find that because we’re with our daughter. Most people are super respectful about it. They’ll come up and whisper, give you a little nudge.

You get some people who just like don’t know how to act in public, which, you know, whatever. That’s fine. I’ve been accustomed to dealing with them for long enough but yeah, I would say most people, and this gives me faith in the human race. Most people see us with our three-year-old daughter, and they’re pretty chill about it.”

Seth Rollins Is Not Losing Hope

Seth Rollins then talked about the issue of airport collectors which has been condemned by fans and talents alike. The Architect mentioned how some people use their kids to get things signed, but he explained that it’s more of an exception:

“We get a lot of pseudo-collectors at the airports that are a little funky and a little aggressive sometimes. Again, because we have our daughter people tend to stay away a little bit more but yeah, they’re a bit aggressive.

Sometimes they’ll use their kids, they’ll send their kids up with a figure to sign it. And you’ll be like, ‘Oh, what’s your name? Let me sign it to you.’ They’re like, you can see them like, ‘Oh, no, oh no.’ So that’s not nice. That’s not a nice thing but I do find that that’s not the rule, it’s more the exception. So there’s still faith in humanity to be had man, don’t lose all hope just yet.”

Jon Moxley Outlines How Fatherhood Changed His Life

0

AEW star Jon Moxley is a proud father and recently stated that fatherhood changed his outlook on his life.

Renee Paquette and Jon Moxley are the proud parents of baby girl, Nora. Among the most beloved couples in pro wrestling are Mox and Paquette. Back in the day, Jon worked as a wrestler in WWE, while Renee was a host, interviewer, and commentator for the promotion.

This is how the two initially got together and on April 9, 2017, the pair finally tied the knot in a private ceremony held at their residence. It was said to be an unplanned wedding.

Paquette and Moxley would welcome their first child, Nora on June 15, 2021.

It is needless to mention that a person’s life might drastically alter for good after having a baby. After becoming parents, they would want to set an example for their kids and that’s how being a father, Jon Moxley’s outlook towards life changed.

Jon Moxley talks about fatherhood

Speaking with
Bleacher Report, Moxley said that having a daughter with Renee Paquette gave him a greater appreciation for both life and pro wrestling. The former AEW World Champion is trying to set an example for her daughter in everything that he’s currently doing. Mox said:

“By the time I had a kid, I was already a veteran of this. I was already paying the price physically for a lot of the s–t I did in my younger years. I was already at the stage where I was telling younger kids ‘You might not have to do that move every single night because you’re going to pay for it in 10 years.’ I already became the kind of guy who was aware of my own mortality by the time I had a child, so it really didn’t change anything. If anything, it made me appreciate it more and want to do a better job.

“Now everything I’m doing, I’m setting an example. I have a lot of young people that I coach and people that I work with, and I got young kids in Cincinnati I teach wrestling to. I’ve got a lot of people that are looking at me, so if I go out there and don’t work hard or take anything for granted or don’t take the kind of advice I would give to my daughter, if whatever I would tell her doesn’t match up with what I did, there would be a problem there.

“If anything [fatherhood] just made me appreciate life more and made me want to do this for as long as I can. I don’t know if she will ever get to watch me do it live and in person. She’s two and a half. When I look at some of my main rivals like Chris Jericho and Minoru Suzuki, they’re still going hard and still at the top of their game, so I think I’ve got a lot of years left. I don’t plan on ever retiring. At some point, I will just get too old to do it.”

Jon Moxley is currently competing in the AEW Continental Classic where he has bagged 9 points and is aiming to win the tournament. You can check out below what he thinks of the brand-new tournament:

Yeet is Back: Jey Uso Confirms Return of Catchphrase at WWE Live Event

0

Jey Uso is free to Yeet once again, as WWE has seemingly secured the rights to use the term for merchandise.

Following Jey’s infamous appearance on the Fastlane post-show press conference, Yeet has been synonymous with the Monday Night Raw Superstar. Yeet has been a popular chant with fans and even made it onto merchandise for Main Event Jey.

The Return of Yeet

Earlier this week, it was reported that WWE had abandoned usage of Yeet, as the term had been trademarked in 2021 by Kasey Huffman, an independent wrestler based in West Virginia. WWE event went as far as to blur the term in video packages featuring Jey. While WWE had abandoned Yeet, it was noted that WWE had not given up on the term and that their legal team was working on things

When Jey recently Yeet-ed on Twitter, speculation grew that perhaps some sort of deal had been struck to allow Yeet back in WWE. At a recent live event in Utica, New York, Jey was once again donned in a Yeet shirt and made it clear on social media that Yeet is back.

While Jey has his catchphrase back, it wasn’t enough to secure him the win. At the Utica event, Drew McIntyre defeated his rival after a low-blow and a pinfall. This event also saw Seth Rollins have some choice words for fans chanting for CM Punk

Who does Jey Uso think could be the one to dethrone Roman Reigns and replace him as Tribal Chief? Click here to find out.

Seth Rollins Shuts Down CM Punk Chants At WWE Live Event: “Who’s That?”

0

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins has made it clear who the best in the world is, and it isn’t CM Punk.

Although many have been pleased to see Punk back in WWE, Seth Rollins is not among them. Rollins had an explosive reaction to Punk’s return at Survivor Series, and has made it clear on WWE programming that he takes issue with Punk’s comeback. This week, Rollins explained his beef with Punk, citing the many negative comments Punk made about Seth and WWE during his near-decade-long absence.

Seth Rollins Shuts Down CM Punk Chant

Despite Rollin’s points about Punk, fans have gravitated to the Chicago-Made wrestler. At last night’s WWE live event in Utica, New York, Rollins had some comments for the fans who were chanting Punk’s name.

“Excuse me, who’s that? Who’s that? Serious question, was that guy on the show here tonight? Yeah, no. Hey, maybe, one of these days he’ll grow a set and he’ll come up here to Utica, New York. And look, he’s the best in the world, right? In all seriousness, *raises World Heavyweight Championship* I’m the friggin’ best in the world. Because every single town, every single night, no matter the opponent, I show up and I show out!”

Punk and Rollins are expected to feud in due time, with some pointing at a possible collision at WrestleMania 40. WWE also has plans for Punk to feud with Roman Reigns and some in WWE are optimistic that a match between Punk and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin could happen

CM Punk made a cheeky reference to his AEW firing on this week’s SmackDown. Click here to find out more.

Dragon Lee Vows to Be a Fighting Champion, AEW Stars React to Title Win

0

Dragon Lee will be a fighting champion now that he holds the NXT North American Title, and his win has caught the attention of some stars outside of WWE.

Lee captured the title from ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio at the final NXT PLE of 2023 after being a last-minute addition to the show. Mysterio was originally set to defend the North American Title against Wes Lee until a severe back injury made this match impossible

Dragon Lee on his Title Win

This victory marks Lee’s first taste of WWE gold since joining the promotion in late 2022. Speaking in an NXT Digital Exclusive, the new champion was asked how he feels.

“How do I feel? I feel very happy. You know, I don’t even know if I can find the exact words to explain to you how I feel. Me siento como un campeón (I feel like a champion.) I’m ready for the next challenge. Whoever [is next, I’m ready].”

Lee was also asked about Rey Mysterio, who announced the match during the go-home WWE NXT before Deadline.

“Rey Mysterio supports me. That means the world. That means a lot. My superhero… Thank you Rey, this is for all my people.”

 AEW Stars React

Dragon Lee is the new NXT North American Champion but he isn’t the only member of his family to wrestle. On Twitter, AEW’s Rush made it clear that he is immensely proud of his brother.

Dralistico, also a brother to Dragon Lee who was recently made All Elite, also reacted to the title change.

“Congratulations brother @dragonlee95 You deserve it, that and much more. I’m proud of you.”

Dragon Lee is very happy to be the new NXT North American Champion, but Dominik Mysterio isn’t happy. Click here to check out the ex-Champion’s reaction.

Watch CM Punk & Cora Jade Reunite Years After Emotional Fan Encounter

0

NXT Superstar Cora Jade has reunited with CM Punk, years after the pair met for the first time back when Jade was just a fan.

Punk helped kick off last night’s NXT Deadline event with an in-ring segment with NXT head Shawn Michaels. Punk grabbed a selfie with the Showstopper and teased signing with NXT instead of Raw or SmackDown on the main roster.

Cora Jade and CM Punk Reunite

WWE NXT Deadline also saw the return of Cora Jade, who appeared during the show to attack reigning NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria. Recently, a video went viral of a young Jade, years before she joined WWE, being overcome with emotion at meeting CM Punk. During a backstage interview with Jade, Punk made sure that the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion knows he is proud of how far she has come.

Here is the clip of Jade meeting Punk back before she became a WWE NXT Superstar.

While Punk didn’t mention Jade by name during his WWE NXT Deadline appearance, the former AEW & WWE World Champion did say that there had been some wrestlers backstage who spoke about growing up watching Punk in the ring.

What’s Next?

Based on what happened at Deadline, it’s clear that Jade has her sights set on Lyra Valkyria and the NXT Women’s Championship. With that said Blair Davenport has a guaranteed shot at the champion due to winning the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge. As for CM Punk, he will announce on next week’s Raw which brand he will be signing with.

What did those backstage make to CM Punk being at WWE NXT Deadline? Click here to find out.

Dirty Dom On His NXT North American Title Loss: “Where Was The Judgment Day?!”

0

‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio was far from pleased with the lack of The Judgment Day’s help at last night’s NXT Deadline event.

At last night’s event, Mysterio lost the NXT North American Championship to Dragon Lee while Dominik’s father Rey was on commentary. This match gives Lee his first taste of WWE championship gold, and he and Rey celebrated after the match.

Dominik Reacts to His Title Loss

In a rarity, Dominik was by his lonesome at last night’s Deadline show and had none of his Judgment Day allies. Speaking in an NXT Digital Exclusive after the match, Mysterio questioned why he had no help at ringside.

“You all saw what happened to me out there. I am the greatest NXT North American Champion that’s ever been. Dragon Lee. My deadbeat dad. Where’s Judgment Day? Where’s Finn? Where’s Damian? JD? Mami? You know what? I’m going to go home to Mami because Judgment Day runs all and this shouldn’t be happening!”

Dirty Dom in WWE NXT

This loss presumably marks the end of Dominik Mysterio’s time as part of WWE NXT. Mysterio leaves the gold brand a two-time North American Champion with a combined 141 days with the title. Lee is one of three men to have held the title more than once, the others being two-time Champion Carmelo Hayes and three-time Champion Johnny Gargano. During his run in NXT, Mysterio made history by headlining Raw, SmackDown, and NXT in the same week.

Wes Lee was supposed to challenge Dominik Mysterio at NXT Deadline, but that didn’t happen. Click here to find out why.

Backstage Reaction to CM Punk at WWE NXT Deadline Event

0

CM Punk made quite the impact at last night’s WWE NXT Deadline event and had quite the reaction from those backstage.

The Best in the World appeared in the opening moments of the show and was part of a segment with Shawn Michaels. Punk, donned in a Bret Hart hoodie, shared a fun segment with Michaels, and took a selfie with the two-time WWE Hall of Famer.

Shawn Michaels & ‘Suck It’

Michaels kicked off Deadline with a DX-esque promo, before Punk interrupted the NXT creative head. Punk asked Michaels if he was going to say ‘Suck It’ and Punk later asked if that was something he could no longer say.

This interaction between the two has raised questions as to whether WWE can use those words for D-Generation X members moving forward. Haus of Wrestling reports that Michaels is allowed to say ‘Suck It’ on WWE TV, but it likely just did not fit the moment. It was also pointed out that ‘Suck It’ is usually kept for the end of a DX promo and that Punk and Michaels were just getting started.

CM Punk’s Backstage Reaction

Punk was at the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, CT for most of the day and was described as being “great around everyone”. Triple H was also at the event and the pair had “legit” very good reactions. Sources have indicated that Punk has continued to talk about how happy he is and that he’s looking to keep riding this wave he’s on. Punk’s appearance on the show caught many off guard. Despite him teasing an appearance at Deadline in the hours before the show, it seems like his presence at the event was not well-known by some at Deadline before they saw him backstage.

Izzi Dame Puts NXT Roster On Notice After Surprise NXT Deadline Appearance

0

Izzi Dame has put the whole NXT roster on notice via Twitter after making a surprising appearance at NXT Deadline PLE on Saturday night.

The latest NXT event featured a Women’s Steel Cage match between Roxanne Perez and Kiana James. It was a physical affair with both women giving everything they had to try and win the fight.

Towards the ending of the bout, James introduced a steel chair into the match but Perez got hold of it. Perez then tried to escape the cage but Izzi Dame made a surprise appearance and smashed the cage door into her head.

The distraction from Izzi allowed James to pick up the win. It appears that these two NXT stars have formed an alliance as Dame later posted some photos on Twitter and warned the whole NXT locker room:

Who Is Izzi Dame

A former volleyball player Izzi Dame made her NXT debut in May this year. She has been competing at NXT House Shows trying to get as much experience in the ring as possible.

The 24-year-old also competed in the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament back in October. Though she was eliminated in the first round by Kelani Jordan.

The latest NXT Deadline appearance suggests that Dame has impressed the NXT officials with her work ethic and we can expect to see more of her in coming time.

The GCW World Champion came into the match motivated to defend his title for the 27th time. His last successful defense was against Little Guido at GCW What Is Your Choice on December 3. Christian has had an incredible run this year in the promotion, and it looks like he could end 2023 with it still around his waist.

WWE Announces Participants For Return Of NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament

0

0

WWE brought their final premium live event of the year with Deadline, and there were a few surprises. Fans expected to see Cora Jade end her long absence from the ring, and that is exactly what happened.

Blair Davenport won the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match, and that means she is next in line to face Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Title. After that big win, Lyra came out to stare her new challenger down.

Suddenly, Cora Jade showed up and clocked Lyra Valkyria from behind. She laid out the NXT Women’s Champion, and she picked up her title for good measure.

After Cora Jade posed with the NXT Women’s Title for a bit, they made it very clear on commentary that Cora Jade is back. This ends a very long hiatus from the ring.

Cora Jade was spotted backstage at NXT Deadline. It was expected that she would end her hiatus from the ring tonight, and that is exactly what happened. Now, she is back, and gunning for the NXT Women’s Title once again.

Cora Jade’s last match took place on July 25, 2023, where she faced Dana Brooke in a Kendo Stick match. Dana Brooke won that match, and Jade walked out of the locker room a short time later. Dana Brooke was later released by WWE. Cora Jade isn’t getting that win back against Dana Brooke, but she may have her sights on a larger prize.

King and Waller aimed to reach 20 title defenses and were successful. Bang and Matthews presented a formidable challenge as both teams wrestled at a fast pace. Ultimately, the champions were able to outmaneuver their opponents to get the win.

Another match on the card featured Freelance World Champion Storm Grayson putting his title on the line against Sandra Moone. The challenger tried to become the second female to win the title. However, Grayson proved to be too much.

Dragon Lee Beats Dominik Mysterio For NXT North American Title At Deadline

0

Dominik Mysterio has held the NXT North American Title since October 3rd, when he beat Trick Williams. He carried the North American Title proudly, as a member of Judgment Day, on every WWE brand. That reign came to an end at NXT Deadline.

Dragon Lee took on Dominik Mysterio for the NXT North American Title as the first match of NXT Deadline. This went down after CM Punk surprised fans and opened up the show with Shawn Michaels.

With Rey Mysterio at ringside on commentary, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee gave it their all. In the end, Dragon Lee picked up the big win over Dirty Dom.

It should be noted that Judgment Day members were not around ringside for this match. They called attention to that on commentary as well. Odds are, Dominik Mysterio will figure out some way to excuse this loss.

This win is interesting, because Dragon Lee was called up to the SmackDown brand already. The NXT North American Champion is still a main roster Superstar, but it is no longer Dirty Dom.

After Dragon Lee won the NXT North American Title, he celebrated with Rey Mysterio at ringside. Mr. 6-1-9 was very happy by the result of this match, even if it meant his son had to lose.

Keep checking back with SE Scoops for more on this story, and so many more. NXT Deadline certainly kicked off with a bang.

CM Punk Opens WWE NXT Deadline With Surprise Appearance

0

CM Punk shocked the WWE Universe when he returned at Survivor Series. He was on the December 8th episode of SmackDown, where he made an interesting remark about linking up with Shawn Michaels before he made his way to RAW next week. Fans didn’t have to wait long to see him on Deadline.

It was previously reported that CM Punk missed his flight, so he was in town for Deadline. That appearance was certainly a notable one.

Shawn Michaels opened the NXT Deadline premium live event, and he took the ring with a lot of energy. Then he asked fans if they are ready, and that is when CM Punk’s music hit.

CM Punk joined Shawn Michaels in the ring, and it was quite an experience. The two took a moment and even joked about the fact that Punk was wearing a Bret “Hitman” Hart hoodie. CM Punk said he forgot his HBK merch at home.

The two took a selfie together in the ring, because CM Punk said that people were taking pictures with him backstage all day, while they told him that he is their hero. Punk said it was only fitting that they snap that selfie in the ring with one of his own heroes.

CM Punk hyped his decision about which brand he will sign with on the December 11th episode of WWE RAW. Fans were very excited to see him open up Deadline, no matter which brand he ends up with on Monday.

Shawn Michaels and CM Punk were all smiles as they closed out the segment. This was a short opening for Deadline, but it certainly popped the crowd to see the Second City Savior and the Heartbreak Kid in the ring together.

Spoiler On Superstar Return Expected For WWE NXT Deadline

0

WWE NXT Deadline is scheduled exclusively for wrestlers from the NXT brand division and is set to occur on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut. We will have full coverage, and this article may contain a big spoiler for the show.

CM Punk already teased an appearance at NXT Deadline tonight. We will have to see if the Second City Savior shows up, but he did make a remark about talking to Shawn Michaels before he makes his brand decision on the December 11th episode of WWE RAW.

Fightful Select reports that a return was discussed for tonight’s show. Specifically, Cora Jade was planned to make an appearance after the Iron Survivor Women’s match as of this evening.

Cora Jade has been absent from NXT TV for several months, and it was reported that her titantron and music were both tested at the venue today. This will be exciting for fans who missed her on NXT television.

During Cora Jade’s absence from NXT, she missed significant events, including Becky Lynch’s reign as NXT Women’s Champion and the Iron Survivor Challenge match. As she returns, Cora Jade aims to catch up on the happenings she missed during her time away from NXT television.

It was previously reported that Cora Jade’s WWE NXT was expected. It appears that she will be around for Deadline. It will be interesting to see how they work her into the show, because she is not booked for a match.

Cora Jade’s last match took place on July 25, 2023, where she faced Dana Brooke in a Kendo Stick match. Dana Brooke won that match, and Jade walked out of the locker room a short time later. Dana Brooke was later released by WWE, so it looks like Cora Jade isn’t getting that win back.

Independent wrestling promotion Dreamwave Wrestling held their Good As Gold event on December 9, featuring four title matches. One of the matches had El Hijo Del Vikingo put the Dreamwave Alternative Championship on the line in a 4 Man Scramble Match.

After a few months of no defense, Vikingo was motivated to retain his championship for the final Dreamwave card of the year. His last successful defense was in a Four Way Match against Alex Shelley, Flamita, and Gringo Loco at Dreamwave Those Summer Nights on August 5. On the card, Vikingo found himself facing three opponents again with Jack Cartwheel, Stephen Wolf, and Gringo Loco for the title.

In what could be the best match of the night, Vikingo was able to successfully defend his title. The finish came when the champion landed a 630 Senton to pin Wolf.

Dreamwave Wrestling Good As Gold Brittnie Brooks vs. Zamaya

Another exciting match on the card had Dreamwave Women’s Champion Brittnie Brooks defending her title against Zamaya. Brooks was coming off a tough matchup against Masha Slamovich at Dreamwave Uprising on December 8. After retaining her title, Brooks was attacked by Zayda Steel and Maggie Lee. As the “heels” stood over the champion with her title, Zamaya also appeared to pose with the Dreamwave Women’s Championship.

Looking to make a statement, Brooks had a decisive win over Zamaya. After the match, Lee came out to confront the champion, which could set up a match at the next Dreamwave event.
