Malcolm Bivens Wants Diamond Mine to Collect All The NXT Titles

0

Diamond Mine manager Malcolm Bivens has big plans for his faction Diamond mine.

Since the rebranding of NXT, Diamond Mine has become a prominent group on the developmental show. Besides the leader Roderick Strong and Bivens, the other members are rookies. Regardless, WWE has pushed the group in NXT 2.0, and are they having a successful run.

The Creed Brothers won the 2022 Dusty Cup by defeating former NXT Tag Team Champions MSK at NXT Vengeance Day on Feb. 15. The tag team will challenge the NXT Tag Team Champions Imperium’s Fabian Archer and Marcel Barthel. While it’s unclear when the match will occur, it may happen at NXT Stand and Deliver on Apr. 2.

In an interview with The Black Announce Table Podcast, Ms. Sookoo asked Bivens what he expects for the group after The Creed Brothers tournament win. He shared that he expects the match at NXT Stand and Deliver. He also believes Niles will challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship at some point and hopes the faction wins all of the NXT titles.

“I think it’s the NXT championships. I am eyeing Stand and Deliver in Dallas and we also have the pitbull of NXT Ivy Nile and I think she has her eyes set on the NXT Women’s Championship, so If I could have all the gold that’d be great. That be fantastic,” said Bivens.

Will the Creed Brothers Defeat Imperium?

As NXT 2.0 progresses, the brand is slowly replacing it’s veterans with newer talent. The show has also seen veteran NXT talents either move to the main roster, get released from the WWE or choose to leave. After winning the Dusty Cup, the WWE may have The Creed Brothers defeat Imperium to win the NXT Tag Team Championships to become the face of the NXT 2.0 tag team division.

WWE main roster could also use a fresh tag team like Imperium on either the Friday Night Smackdown or Monday Night Raw roster. In addition, Gunther may also be staying in the United States and possibly lead the group on the main roster. However, it’s unclear if WWE has interest in taking Imperium faction from NXT 2.0.

Bryan Danielson Reveals The Reason He’s Jealous Of Jade Cargill

0

Bryan Danielson admits Jade Cargill has a certain quality that makes him a bit jealous.

Cargill made her AEW debut back in Nov. 2020. Since that time, she has been on a tear and is the inaugural TBS Champion. Cargill has also been a ratings draw for AEW as her match with Ruby Soho on Dynamite’s TBS debut outdrew Hangman Page vs. Bryan Danielson in most demos.

Danielson Speaks On Cargill’s Star Power

Bryan Danielson was a guest on the Masked Man Show and revealed why he’s a bit jealous of Jade Cargill (via Fightful).

“Pro wrestling is very unique in the sense that anybody if they work hard enough, can get pretty good at this. Whether you make a living from it, that’s a different thing, but can get pretty good at the technical aspects of professional wrestling.

“Again, I think that comes down to a certain discipline. In my short time working with her, she works very hard. She…can I say that I’m jealous? [Laughs]. In the sense that, she’s been wrestling a little over ten months, maybe now 11 months, and she comes out with more presence and looks like more of a star than I have ever looked in my entire career.”

Cargill has defeated the likes of Thunder Rosa, Ruby Soho, Red Velvet, Anna Jay, and others. She is approaching the two-month mark of her TBS Championship reign.

WWE Planning On “Smoke & Mirrors” For Vince McMahon’s WrestleMania 38 Match

0

Fans have been wondering about how Vince McMahon’s return to the ring at WWE WrestleMania 38 is going to be booked as he is putting his health at risk by taking bumps at 76-year-old.

He also hasn’t taken bumps in years, but it turns out that WWE is planning to avoid the Chairman from taking many bumps when he wrestles Pat McAfee at the show in Dallas, Texas.

Dave Meltzer reported today on F4WOnline.com that it will be a “smoke and mirrors” match. This would mean there could be various things happening in the match such as outside interference so the person helping McMahon would take the majority of the bumps.

WWE did this for Bret Hart in 2010 at WrestleMania 26 in his match against McMahon. Since November, WWE has booked Austin Theory in backstage segments with McMahon and Theory looks up to McMahon as a mentor in storyline in addition to trying to impress the boss.

Meltzer also stated that WWE is doing some out-of-the-box things this year because they know they need to increase ticket sales as they have more than 20,000 unsold tickets for both nights of the show. Thus, with McMahon wrestling and the company trying to get Steve Austin to return to the ring for a match against Kevin Owens, it should increase sales.

As noted, the storyline will kick off this Thursday on The Pat McAfee Show when McMahon makes an in-studio appearance.

Drew McIntyre Reacts To Cesaro’s WWE Departure

0

Drew McIntyre has given his take on Cesaro and WWE failing to come to terms on a new deal.

Cesaro had been with WWE since 2011 when he competed under the FCW developmental system. Throughout his run with the company, Cesaro held the United States Championship and was a seven-time tag team titleholder.

Earlier this month, PWInsider reported that Cesaro “quietly” made his exit from WWE when his contract expired. He doesn’t have a non-compete clause since he was never released.

Drew McIntyre’s Take On Cesaro’s Exit

Appearing as a guest on the In The Kliq podcast, Drew McIntyre shared his view on Cesaro’s departure from WWE (h/t Fightful).

“That’s a shame. So many people come and go from the company. I’m one of them, and we always see each other down the line, but it sucks more when it’s a friend and somebody that you really want to wrestle.

“That was my number one match, I think it was his number one match. We’ve both and wrestling for 20 years, but never had a singles match. So we’re gonna be a bit longer, it’ll happen eventually. But, you know, he’s got his family. He’s got his new kid, and he’s going to be just fine. He is far too talented not to be.”

It’ll be interesting to see where Cesaro will go from here. It isn’t out of the realm of possibility that negotiations with WWE could reopen. Of course, companies such as AEW may be on the table as well as NJPW, and Impact Wrestling. There’s always the indies as well.

DDP Reveals What Cody Rhodes Told Him About AEW Exit

0

Wrestling legend “Diamond” Dallas Page is a long time friend of the Rhodes family, and thus, may be able to provide some insight into why Cody has left All Elite Wrestling.

Rhodes’ exit from the company he helped start came out on February 15th, with both Cody and Brandi Rhodes commenting on their exits, as well as an official company statement on the news. Since then, there has been nothing new to report despite rumors persisting that Cody will sign with WWE.

DDP shed some light on the Cody situation during an interview with Fightful. A portion of that interview was released early via Fightful Select.

“Cody called me two days before,” Page said. “He said, ‘Listen, I’m gonna tell you something. But I can only tell you so much. But I know if I don’t call you and tell you, you’re gonna want to kill me. You’ll be so pissed off, so I have to call and tell you that I love Tony Khan. He’s a great guy. He loves me. But we’re gonna split up and I want to go off and do something else. I can’t tell you about what it is right now, but I promise at some point I will.'”

Page explained, “I don’t want to know sometimes. You know what I mean? I want to be surprised. I gave him all of my viewpoints on everything. I don’t know if you’re doing this, I don’t know if you’re doing that, I don’t know if you’re doing this. But I gave him my viewpoints and then Cody’s a man. He’s very successful. To me whatever he does, I wish him the best. I hope I helped him with some of my insights to help direct him. But he’s gonna do what he’s gonna do.”

Several reports have circulated about Cody potentially losing influence backstage at AEW and that being a catalyst for his leaving the company. The two sides were unable to come to an agreement on a new contract, and AEW also opted to not utilize their option on Cody’s initial deal with the company. Per Dave Meltzer, Cody and Brandi had three year contracts with two year rollover options that were not exercised by Tony Khan.

‘Hangman’ Adam Page Calls Out Kane Over Ukraine Remarks

0

The current situation in Ukraine is front and center in the minds of most this weekend, and several stars from across the pro wrestling spectrum have commented on the matter. Many have used their platforms to call on people to help provide assistance to the people of Ukraine who are suffering due to the actions of Russia.

However, former WWE star Glenn Jacobs (Kane) has used his platform to criticize and demean his political opponents. Taking to his Twitter account on Sunday, Jacobs wrote, “If you (you’re) on the Left and are shocked by Putin’s aggression, wake up, Sunshine. Historically in the real world, might makes right. Weakness (which is really what the Left is all about) is not a virtue. It’s a fatal character flaw. (And, no, the US should still not get involved).”

The former wrestler almost immediately started getting hasty replies from wrestling fans, but it was none other than AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page who had the best response of all.

Page replied to Kane’s tweet and rather than engaging in political debate during this time of crisis, he urged people to donate to UNICEF’s Children of Ukraine project, as well as the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund. He closed his tweet, hilariously, by embedding a video of “10 Ruthless Chair Shots Kane Took To The Head.”

https://twitter.com/theAdamPage/status/1498036441754046471

As of this writing, Page’s tweet has roughly 8x as many likes as Kane’s (and growing).

Paul Heyman Says The Undertaker Had Leadership Even In WCW

0

Paul Heyman has known Mark Calloway even before he was The Undertaker.

There is no doubting the legacy that The Undertaker has left behind. “The Deadman” took to the squared circle for almost four decades. He spent 30 years of his historic career under the WWE banner.

Always A Leader

Paul Heyman knows what it’s like to work with The Undertaker and not just in WWE. The two were also working for WCW. Heyman appeared on The Zaslow Show and said he saw leadership qualities in The Undertaker even during their time in WCW (via Wrestling Inc).

“Magic. Leadership. A giant, a giant who could move like a cruiserweight, but understood not to unless necessary. Unless the situation called for it. Intelligence. Checked every box. Just, you know, it’s funny, I get a lot of credit from a lot of people. From the talent themselves, whether it’s The Undertaker, whether it’s Steve Austin — ‘Oh, before anybody noticed me, Paul Heyman noticed me.’ And I don’t think there was ever a lot of credit for that. I think it’s an indictment of other people that didn’t see it.

“I don’t know how you could be in a room with Mark, with The Undertaker and not understand this guy is very, very special. I don’t understand how you could walk into a room with Steve Austin and not say to yourself, ‘woah, there’s something very different about this athlete.’ Same way with Brock Lesnar, same way with Roman Reigns. These are extraordinary human beings with the, ‘it factor,’ that everybody always talks about.”

At the 2020 Survivor Series PPV, “The Phenom” called it a career. WWE gave him a sendoff although fans couldn’t be in attendance due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Undertaker will be inducted into the 2022 WWE Hall of Fame. Many believe it’s long overdue and an honor “The Deadman” could’ve easily snagged when he was still active.

Corey Graves Teases a “Familiar Face” is Returning Before WrestleMania

0

WWE fans can expect a “familiar face” to return before WrestleMania 38.

We are now on the road to WrestleMania. The anticipation is building for WWE’s biggest event of the year. Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey are on board to ensure WrestleMania is a box office success. However, WWE isn’t done stacking the deck.

On the latest episode of his After the Bell podcast, WWE broadcaster Corey Graves addressed rumors that another big name will soon be back on television.

“… and who knows, if the rumors do in fact prove to be true, we may have another familiar face back in the fold between now and the Showcase of the Immortals,” said Graves. “This is one of those ones where: if you know, you know. I’m not going to speak to it any longer.”

Graves says he knows exactly what he’s doing: feeding the rumor mill.

“I’m stoking the flames and I am pouring gas on the fire,” he added. “If the rumors are true, I couldn’t be more thrilled.”

So, who is Corey Graves talking about? There are a few people rumored to be returning to WWE storylines ahead of WrestleMania 38. Three possibilities are Cody Rhodes, Vince McMahon or “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

Cody Rhodes recently left AEW after the two sides failed to reach an agreement on a new contract. WWE is rumored to be very interested in the American Nightmare’s services.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and Pat McAfee are reportedly scheduled to work a program at WrestleMania, while Steve Austin is rumored to come out of retirement to face Kevin Owens.

The good news is that WrestleMania is just five weeks away and we won’t have to wait much longer to find out who Corey Graves is referencing

Kurt Angle Reveals Reason for Recent Body Transformation

0

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently posted an image to social media where he looked absolutely jacked.

Angle has been retired from the pro wrestling ring for some time, but fans took the image of the Olympic Gold Medallist being in incredible shape as a sign that he may be preparing for a comeback.

The former WWE Champion addressed the situation on The Kurt Angle Show podcast, saying that he wasn’t prepping for a return to wrestling, not yet anyway, but his weight loss was for a different reason.

Kurt Angle on Weight Loss

“I gained a lot of weight during this pandemic,” Angle revealed on the podcast. “I got up to 260 and I got my butt down to 210 pounds, so I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in even before the Olympics as far as looks, not on a conditioning level or a strength level.

“As far as how I look, this is the best I’ve ever looked and I’m really happy with my progress” Angle continued.

“I started training hard again to get my body back in shape and, not that I’m planning on wrestling, but I want to keep the option open” the WWE Hall of Famer confirmed.

“I’ve been training a lot of physical therapy training, working on my smaller muscles, my core, everything like that. I lost a lot during this pandemic, I couldn’t even walk in a straight line, my balance was off, my strength was off and I was going through a really difficult time. I went through a lot of depression too” the Olympic Gold Medallist noted.

Vince McMahon vs Pat McAfee “Internally Scheduled” for WrestleMania 38

0

It was recently confirmed that Vince McMahon would be appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, but now it appears as though the match between the two has been locked in.

Dave Meltzer recently confirmed that the bout between the 76 year-old WWE Chairman and SmackDown commentator was “internally scheduled” for WrestleMania 38.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter writer noted on social media: “As of last night, Vince McMahon vs. Pat McAfee was listed as a match on the internal schedule for WrestleMania.”

As noted, the WWE Chairman is set to appear on The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday, where it is likely that they will start to build the angle.

Whilst it won’t exactly be the best technical wrestling match in company history, it is certainly another intriguing prospect for what is already becoming a baffling card for WrestleMania 38.

Chris Jericho Reacts to Claims He Got “Ab Implants”

0

AEW star Chris Jericho recently took to social media to react to claims that he got “ab implants.”

Fans noted on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite that the former WWE Undisputed Champion looked shredded.

Jericho stood toe to toe with Eddie Kingston for a promo segment, and it was clear that he had been working on his body in the prior weeks.

One fan believed that Jericho had gotten “ab implants,” explaining how the previously ‘bloated’ star now looked to be in fantastic shape and have six-pack abs.

There have been several actors who have undergone a liposuction procedure called Abdominal Etching to create the look of six-pack abs.

Chris Jericho Reacts to “Haters”

Reacting to this on Twitter, Chris Jericho would laugh off the idea that he got any sort of surgical work.

The former AEW Champion wrote: “Hah that is the stupidest f–kin thing I’ve ever heard!! Keep reaching haters…..”

Matt Hardy Recalls Pitched WWE Storyline He Was Very Uncomfortable With

0

WWE has put out many strange storylines on TV over the years. Matt Hardy recently revealed one such storyline that was pitched to him that made him very uncomfortable.

The former WWE star talked about it on the latest episode of his podcast. He recalled the time when Booker T and RVD held the tag team championships.

According to him, the creatives pitched an idea for Hardy to challenge for the tag titles with Mark Henry. For this, they wanted Matt to start acting like a black person:

“What was pitched to me from Vince and creative was that I was almost going to go to Mark Henry and him being black had a lot in common with me having Mattitude because we were both oppressed then I would talk like a black person.”

Matt Hardy explained that they wanted him to talk about how Mattitude was oppressed too. The former champion recalled how he was very uncomfortable with it:

“There was a point where I was almost going to start talking with more black slang and almost tell Mark Henry like ‘Mattitude is oppressed too man, we have that in common.’ I was very uncomfortable with that.”

Though thankfully for Matt, the storyline was canceled after Mark Henry got injured. Per the AEW star, maybe it was a sign from the Seven Deities.

Bryan Danielson Initially Feared The Worst With Cody & Brandi Rhodes

0

Bryan Danielson had quite the scare when he first heard the news about Cody and Brandi Rhodes.

Cody and Brandi announced their departure from AEW. The two had been signed to three-year deals, which expired at the end of 2021. They continued to appear on AEW television despite not being under contract.

Cody had been the TNT Champion but ultimately dropped it to Sammy Guevara in a title unification match on the Beach Break episode of AEW Dynamite. Going into the match, Guevara was the interim champion after Cody couldn’t make his title defense sooner due to COVID-19.

Danielson’s Scare

Speaking to Metro, Bryan Danielson said he heard the news about Cody and Brandi Rhodes through his wife, Brie Bella, but his initial reaction was fear.

“You have to understand my relationship to this story breaking is a little bit different because I’m not on the internet very much. So I woke up, had no idea, I texted Tony Khan something about some idea I had or whatever.

“Completely oblivious. I’m driving to the airport and my wife [Brie Bella] texts me, and I usually don’t check it but it comes up on the thing and it said, ‘Did you hear about Cody and Brandi?’

“And the first thing that went through my head is, ‘Oh no, did something happen? Did they get in a crash? Did something bad happen to their daughter?’ I’m thinking worst-case scenario.”

Reports suggest that many within AEW were stunned by the news of Cody and Brandi’s departure. It’s been said that Cody had a disagreement with Tony Khan over money and the loss of booking power.

Matt Cardona Explains Why WWE & AEW Aren’t On His Radar For Now

0

Matt Cardona is comfortable being in the position he is in with his career.

Cardona has appeared for numerous promotions, including AEW since being released by WWE back in 2020. He’s also appeared for Impact Wrestling, NWA, and GCW but he hasn’t signed a full-time deal with any company.

Cardona Still A Free Agent

During a chat with the folks over at My Mom’s Basement, Matt Cardona explained why being tied down to one promotion isn’t in his best interest at the moment (h/t 411Mania.com).

“My goal right now is not, ‘Aw man, what do I got to do to get back in WWE or get in AEW?’ No. Not at all. I love what I’m doing right now.

“Ten years ago with my YouTube show, I think I proved, no, I know that I proved that through hard work, the internet, social media, whatever, that you can change your position in a major company.

“I proved that 10 years ago and I opened up, before there was a Forbidden Door, I opened up that door for so many people to create their own opportunities. Now 10 years later, I want to prove that you don’t necessarily need AEW or WWE to be a successful pro wrestler.

“If one of those companies called me, of course, I would listen. Of course, I would have a conversation. But that is not my goal to go back.”

Cardona is the current Impact Digital Media Champion. He’s also the former GCW World Champion. Cardona is also the reigning NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.

Steve Austin Hosting Beer Bash During WrestleMania Weekend

0

WWE Hall of Fame “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is headed to WrestleMania weekend.

The Texas Rattlesnake has announced Steve Austin’s Badass Broken Skull Bash, presented by El Segundo Brewing company.

Austin will be on hand at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, TX on Thursday, March 31st for the release of his brand new American Lager beer.

This will be El Segundo Brewing company’s second Steve Austin beer following the popular Broken Skull IPA.

Made for the working man and woman, this beer is brewed with the finest American-grown barley and hops and is the ultimate reward for a hard days work. Coming in at 4.8%, this beer goes down easier than a 3-day weekend.”

Steve Austin is rumored to be coming out of retirement to wrestle Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38. Austin has been involved with some of the promotional material for the event, but WWE has yet to confirm he will be there.

It remains to be seen if this actually happens, but now we know Austin will be in town that weekend.

Kevin Owens has been “stirring the pot” and getting people excited about the prospect of Austin wrestling again. In recent weeks, Owens has been dropping hints that he may in fact be having a confrontation with Steve Austin soon.

Owens has been talking trash about Austin’s favorite beverage (beer) and his hometown, Victoria Texas. More on that below.

Renee Paquette Heaps Praise On Edge’s Promo Ability

0

Renee Paquette is a big fan of Edge on the mic.

Since making his return to WWE, Edge hasn’t lost a step. He’s still performing at a high level in the ring and his promo ability remains highly regarded. Paquette, a former WWE host and commentator has certainly taken notice.

Edge Gets His Flowers From Renee

Sportskeeda interviewed Renee Paquette and was asked which wrestler she thinks took home the crown for best promos of 2021. For her money, it’s “The Rated-R Superstar.”

“I’m gonna say Edge on this one. I know it doesn’t quite lean on for this year, but I’d say Edge just has such a great way of connecting with people, but there’s such an authenticity about what he does, and again another instance of, like, Edge is wrestling again?!

“What?! You can see he loves what he does. He has such a passion for professional wrestling. To see him doing it along with his wife, with him and Beth doing it together is so cool.

“I think Edge just has a way with words, he’s such a cool guy, he’s very interesting and all of that comes through in his promos.”

Edge retired back in 2011 due to a neck injury. After years of being away from the ring apart from some appearances, “The Rated-R Superstar” made his return at the 2020 Royal Rumble.

Since that time, he’s had high-profile feuds with the likes of Randy Orton and Seth Rollins.

Bryan Danielson: ‘Cody Rhodes Taught Me How To Lie’

0

While everyone else in AEW is talking about how Cody Rhodes will be missed after his departure, Bryan Danielson has a very unique take on the situation.

The former champion recently appeared on The Masked Man Show. During the talk, he was asked about his thoughts on the situation surrounding the former TNT champion.

Replying to it, Danielson recalled the time they used to ride together in WWE. He then claimed that Rhodes actually taught him how to lie to someone on their face:

“I have a great relationship with Cody. Cody and I have been friends for a long time, we’d ride together in WWE and that kind of stuff. I don’t know if you guys know this, this is probably something that the boys know, but I’m a big-time liar. I love to lie.

My love of lying, I wasn’t a very good liar until I rode with Cody.” said Bryan Danielson, “Cody taught me how fun lying is. Just making up, saying something straight to somebody’s face, the most absurd lie. Some of that…I really enjoy Cody,”

Apart from this, the former WWE star talked about things such as his ongoing storyline with Jon Moxley, lessons he has learned from Vince McMahon, and more.

What did you think about Danielson’s remarks about the American Nightmare? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

Keith Lee Would Have ‘Loved To Battle’ WWE Star

0

Keith Lee only wrestled a handful of matches during his time on the main roster. There were many names people wished he got to face during his time with the company.

It appears that the former NXT champion himself had one such person in mind who he really wanted to face during his WWE stint, that is Big E.

Replying to a fan tweet recently, Lee said that he would have ‘loved to battle’ the former WWE champion, with or without the cuffs:

“I concur. E is someone I certainly would have loved to battle sans cuffs. Let’s be honest, even with cuffs, it would be an awesome fight.”

After a three-year-long run with WWE, Keith Lee was released from his contract in November last year. During his main roster run, Lee only wrestled a total of 47 matches.

The former champion has since joined AEW. He made his surprise debut for Tony Khan’s promotion during the February 9, 2022 episode of Dynamite.

Lee defeated Isiah Kassidy during his debut bout. The win earned him a spot in the Face of The Revolution match. The winner of this ladder match will earn a shot at the TNT championship.

Vince McMahon ‘Most Likely’ To Have A Match At WrestleMania

0

WrestleMania is the event of surprising feuds and big matches. This year it might involve a match featuring none other than the boss himself, Vince McMahon.

The chairman and CEO of WWE was announced for an appearance at the Pat McAfee show during the SmackDown broadcast this week.

According to John Pollock at Post Wrestling, McMahon’s appearance has been scheduled to “launch a program” with McAfee that will lead to something at WrestleMania.

When asked whether this program involving the 71-year-old billionaire will be billed as an official match, Pollock was told that it was “most likely.”

Vince McMahon At WrestleMania

If the WWE owner does end up wrestling at the show, it will be Vince McMahon’s first official match since his bout with CM Punk during a Raw episode back in 2012.

Mr. McMahon’s last match at the Show Of Shows was against Bret Hart during WrestleMania 26 in 2010. The match with Hart was his fifth official WrestleMania match.

Even if McMahon has not wrestled an actual match for a while, he has had numerous physical altercations since then. This includes confrontations with the likes of Kevin Owens and AJ Styles.

Corey Graves Reveals He Has Been Medically Cleared For In-Ring Return

0

Corey Graves has been teasing an in-ring return for a while. For a time, there were even rumors of him making a comeback at the Royal Rumble but it didn’t happen.

Though this doesn’t mean that we are not going to see the former NXT star back in action, as he has confirmed that he is cleared for a return.

Graves recently revealed this news during his interview with TMZ. He said that he spent some time with doctors in the middle of last year:

“It [wrestling again]’s crossed my mind. I went and spent some time with doctors in the middle of last year. I kinda got the itch. I think this is one of the first times I’m saying this publicly. I have been medically cleared to compete.”

Though Corey Graves later explained that returning to ring is not an immediate goal for him. It’s something he needed to know for his sanity because his journey got cut short:

“So I went and did the necessary steps and it turns out that I’m a little more okay than I thought I was. Never say never. It’s not an immediate goal, but you can’t ever take the wrestler out of my heart.”

The Savior of Misbehavior had to retire from in-ring action in 2014 after suffering a couple of concussions. There is no word yet on when he might make his actual return.

When SmackDown returned, cowboy Brock Lesnar made his way to the ring to a big pop from the crowd. The WWE Champion took off his cowboy hat and put it on the turnbuckle before entering the ring. Lesnar put the title down and shared a laugh with Roman Reigns. The crowd chanted “Suplex City!” as Lesnar introduced himself like Paul Heyman used to.

Brock said that these “skid mark” security guards won’t stop him from kicking Reigns & Heyman’s asses tonight. Lesnar claimed the only one stopping him from doing that is himself so he can do it at WrestleMania. Brock signed the contract and threw it at Roman Reigns before taking a seat.
