Angry Miz Girl Reacts To The Miz Winning WWE Championship

0

Almost 10 years ago The Miz won the WWE Championship for the first time by cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase. Mike Mizanin appeared on the November 22nd episode of Monday Night RAW; then cashed-in on then Champion Randy Orton to win the title for the very first time.

One of the organic moments from the cash-in was the reaction from a young fan in the crowd. That young fan was dubbed ‘Angry Miz Girl’ and became a meme for some time. The young fan even won a Slammy for fan reaction of the year.

The Miz on Angry Miz Girl

Mike Mizanin cashed-in once again last night at the Elimination Chamber PPV and became the WWE Champion, once again.

Sportskeeda spoke to Angry Miz Girl after the Elimination Chamber PPV to get her reaction on the situation. “I personally think he’s [The Miz] one of the best on the roster” Caley/Angry Miz Girl stated. “I know it’s a big change from my opinion 10 years ago; but I love him when he’s a heel champion. I think he’s got the personality for it down to a T.”

Caley also noted “I loved meeting The Miz and he was always super kind to me and he worked super hard, so I definitely think he deserves it.”

Check out the reaction from the new WWE Champion below:

Cesaro Shares Emotional Message After Elimination Chamber

0

Cesaro had cut a passionate promo prior to the Elimination Chamber PPV which turned a lot of heads and made the former US Champion the favorite of many to win the cage match.

The Swiss Superman then went on to deliver another impressive performance at the PPV yesterday night but he wasn’t able to win the bout in the end.

The former champion took on his Twitter after the PPV to share an emotional message with the fans and Cesaro thanked everyone who believed in him:

“I’ve been driving for an hour in silence. I don’t really know what to say. So close. Thanks to everyone who believed and still does. I still do. I appreciate you. Always.”

Cesaro started the Elimination Chamber match alongside Daniel Bryan and he was one of the final three contestants of the bout, surviving for over half an hour inside the steel structure.

It looked like he was building some momentum towards the end when he hit Bryan with a Gutbuster and followed it up with a Cesaro Swing on the former world champion.

However, Jey Uso came out of nowhere and delivered a superkick to the former champion. He then hit a Frogsplash and eliminated Cesaro, before being eliminated himself by the eventual winner Daniel Bryan.

News On How Many Fans WWE Is Expecting At WrestleMania 37

0

It has been clear for a while now that WWE is looking forward to having a live audience at WrestleMania but the company hasn’t revealed any details of how many fans they are expecting yet.

Dave Meltzer provided some update on the plans during the latest Wrestling Observer Radio and he revealed that the officials are planning to have 30,000 fans for each night of WrestleMania 37.

He further noted that most of the fans who will be attending the PPV are expected to come from local areas in Florida as well as some domestic travellers from other states. Though the report did not reveal when the company will announce the ticket details for the fans.

WWE announced the plans for having WrestleMania in two nights once again back in January alongside the confirmation of the venues for the event in 2022 and 2023.

Stephanie McMahon then confirmed the rumors a few days later and WWE’s chief brand officer admitted that they are planning to bring the fans back for their biggest show of the year.

WrestleMania 37 will be taking place from the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida this year on Saturday, April 10, and Sunday, April 11, 2021.

Edge Vs Roman Reigns Official For WWE WrestleMania 37

0

Edge speared Roman Reigns following his Universal Championship match at tonight’s Elimination Chamber PPV after which Michael Cole stressed that the Rated R Superstar has chosen his opponent.

WWE later made this match official for the upcoming WrestleMania 37 event and the company confirmed that the former world champion will challenge the Tribal Chief via a statement on their official website.

Edge vs. Roman Reigns

The ending of last week’s SmackDown saw all of SmackDown’s Elimination Chamber participants hitting each other with their finishers until Edge interrupted and hit a spear to Jey Uso.

Roman Reigns then appeared from nowhere and delivered a spear of his own to the Rated R Superstar, and the segment ended with the Big Dog standing tall.

The Elimination Chamber PPV saw Daniel Bryan winning the cage match. However, he couldn’t stand in front of Reigns for long. The Universal Champion scored a quick win over Bryan and celebrated afterwards.

That was untill the Royal Rumble winner Edge made a surprise appearance and he returned the spear from Roman Reigns from SmackDown. He then pointed towards the WrestleMania sign, indicating that he has chosen his opponent.

WWE has now officially announced the match between Roman Reigns and Edge and it’s likely to be the main event for one of the two nights of WrestleMania 37.

The Miz Makes History By Becoming First 2-Time Grand Slam Champion

0

The Miz shocked wrestling fans on Sunday’s WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on Drew McIntyre and walking out of the show as the new WWE Champion.

The Miz didn’t do it on his own, however, as he had some extra help from The Hurt Business’ Bobby Lashley. After Drew McIntyre successfully defended his title in the Elimination Chamber match, Lashley came out to the ring and battered McIntyre and left him beaten down, for The Miz to swoop in and cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

By becoming WWE Champion for the second time, The Miz has actually created history and set a special record. By winning the title at Sunday, The Miz has become the first 2-time WWE Grand Slam Champion.

The distinction of Grand Slam Champion is given to a wrestler who is able to win a primary championship — either the WWE Championship or the Universal title, two secondary championship wins which includes the Intercontinental Championship and the United States Championship, and either brand’s Tag Team Championship.

So far, The Miz is the only competitor who has been able to achieve the feat of winning all the titles twice in a cycle — making him the first 2-time WWE Grand Slam Champion.

Speaking on his title win after the event, The Miz said, “Understand that I told you so, whenever someone says I wasn’t thinking on their level, I am a master strategist, I think further than anybody else in all of WWE.

I didn’t just take respect, I demanded it through all the WWE Universe, and I couldn’t care less if everybody’s on the internet going, ‘No, Miz doesn’t deserve it, oh Miz shouldn’t be WWE Champion!'”

The Miz won the WWE Championship back in 2010, and that time too he won the title by cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase against Randy Orton.

Bobby Lashley’s Attack On Drew McIntyre Was Part Of “Business”

0

Bobby Lashley revealed the reasoning behind his actions on Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event where he viciously attacked Drew McIntyre after his match.

Drew McIntyre emerged the winner at Sunday’s WWE Elimination Chamber show, surviving in the hellish structure and coming out of it as the triumphant winner. The celebrations of victory were suddenly put on hold, however, as Bobby Lashley came out and hit McIntyre with a spear. Lashley issued a proper beatdown on McIntyre as suddenly The Miz’s came out to the ring with along with his Money in the Bank briefcase.

By this time, Lashley was already done attacking McIntyre, and was out of the ring. As The Miz approached towards the ringside, the two exchanged looks before the former WWE Champion made his way inside the ring.

The Miz then promptly hit a Skull Crushing Finale to end McIntyre’s reign and become a two-time WWE Champion.

Soon after, Bobby Lashley sent out a message via Twitter explaining his actions. He succinctly wrote, “Business… #WWE Chamber.”

Prior to The Miz cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase and winning the WWE Championship, he was seen backstage talking to the MVP in a backstage segment earlier during the show. While they were talking about wasn’t audible, it’s being speculated that The Miz struck a deal with The Hurt Business to weaken Drew McIntyre so he could cash in his briefcase.

This could mean that The Miz would let Bobby Lashley take a shot at his title as part of the deal. It would be interesting to see how the story goes on from here – whether the angle will be played out at the upcoming Fastlane event or it would go to till WrestleMania.

The Miz Reacts To WWE Championship Win at Elimination Chamber

0

The Miz made history during tonight’s Elimination Chamber event by cashing in his Money In The Bank contract and becoming the new WWE Champion.

WWE’s cameras caught up with the new champion after the event went off air. Sarah Schreiber tried to interview the A-Lister but he dismissed her quickly and then addressed the WWE fans.

The Miz first claimed that he is a master strategist who thinks further than anybody else in all of WWE and he doesn’t care what the people on the internet think:

“Understand that I told you so, whenever someone says I wasn’t thinking on their level, I am a master strategist, I think further than anybody else in all of WWE.

I didn’t just take respect, I demanded it through all the WWE Universe, and I could care less if everybody’s on the internet going, ‘No, Miz doesn’t deserve it, oh Miz shouldn’t be WWE Champion!’”

The Miz then mentioned the Angry Miz Girl and said that he prays that there are millions of Angry Miz Girls who are sobbing and wishing that Drew McIntyre was still their WWE champion.

The WWE Champion ended his promo saying that we will see him at WrestleMania or at Raw, wherever he wants because he is the champion and he does whatever he wants:

The Miz Wins WWE Championship At Elimination Chamber

Drew McIntyre walked in the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida as WWE Champion, but it was The Miz who shocked the fans.

McIntyre made his latest title defense against Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, Kofi Kingston, and Sheamus in the Elimination Chamber Match at the gimmick-themed pay-per-view event.

McIntyre and Sheamus have been feuding as of late after Sheamus turned heel by attacking his real-life good friend.

After the Elimination Chamber Match, Lashley speared McIntyre before beating him down. This led to The Miz coming out to the ring and cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase. As the match started, Miz hit a DDT to McIntyre. Miz followed up with the Skull Crushing Finale for the win. He’s the NEW WWE Champion. This is the second time that he’s done this as he first did a decade ago.

Matt Riddle Wins United States Title At WWE Elimination Chamber

0

Bobby Lashley walked in, but not out of the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event in St. Petersburg, Florida at Tropicana Field as the United States Champion.

WWE had advertised Lashley defending the strap against Matt Riddle and Keith Lee in a Triple Threat Match at this show. Lee’s status for the show was reported to be up in the air earlier this week by Dave Meltzer. Lee wasn’t on Monday’s episode of Raw.

With so little was announced for the show in advance and Lee’s status, there were a lot of unknowns about this show. There was even speculation that WWE could turn this advertised three-way match into a singles match between Riddle and Lashley.

WWE announced earlier today that Lee was pulled from the match due to injury. John Morrison vs. Ali vs. Ricochet vs. Elias took place on the pre-show with Morrison winning. As a result, he replaced Lee in the title match.

The Triple Threat Match saw the finish where Riddle hit Lashley in the back with MVP’s crutch to take care of him so he could hit his finisher to Morrison to win the title.

What are your thoughts on Matt Riddle winning the United States Title? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

Daniel Bryan Falls To Roman Reigns, Edge Makes His WrestleMania Decision

0

WWE went with a unique approach for the SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match.

Instead of having Roman Reigns defend his Universal Title against 5 other stars and inside the structure, Paul Heyman had a different idea. Kevin Owens vs. Jey Uso vs. King Corbin vs. Sami Zayn vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Cesaro battled it out in the gimmick match to earn the right to become the #1 contender for the title.

The chamber match featured entrants in the following order: Cesaro, Bryan, Corbin, Zayn, Owens, and Jey.

Eliminations: Cesaro locked in the sharpshooter on Corbin, Owens hit a Stunner to Zayn, Jey connected with a splash off the top rope to eliminate Owens, Jey hit a splash to Cesaro for the elimination, and Bryan with the running knee strike to win the match by eliminating Jey.

As a result of winning the match, he faced Reigns for the title right after the match. Bryan was barely moving as Reigns made his entrance. Bryan went right for the Yes Lock, but Reigns fought out of it and put Bryan to sleep with the guillotine choke.

Post-match, Edge hit a spear out of nowhere to Reigns and pointed to the WrestleMania sign. Thus, indicting Edge vs. Reigns for the Universal Title at WrestleMania.

Sasha Banks On How Depression Led To Her Sabbatical From WWE

0

A new episode of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions is now available on the WWE Network. The latest interview features Smackdown Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks.

WWE posted a clip of the interview to its official YouTube page. In the clip, Banks talks about how depression led to her taking time away from WWE in 2019.

“Depression was taking over. My mind was taking over, my thoughts were taking over. This place was being bigger than me. I really, really lost myself because for a good 7-years, I didn’t even hear my real name. I didn’t hear Mercedes anymore, all I heard was Sasha Banks.”

Banks then spoke about asking to leave WWE.

“That was probably one of the hardest things I had to do was ask to leave WWE.”

Austin then asked Banks what WWE said when she asked to leave.

“Vince was like ‘No!” Banks said with a laugh.

“He said I’m going to give you 30 days to think about it and I took more than 30 days,” Banks continued.

Banks’ comments can be heard in the clip below:

Undertaker Says The Rock Could Unify America As President

0

The Undertaker recently said that he believes The Rock could unify America if he ran for President of the United States. The Rock recently stated that he will consider a Presidential run if that is what the people want him to do.

Taker recently explained to TMZ Sports why he thinks The Rock would make a great US President.

“That man works his tail off and he dives in wholeheartedly in everything that he does and if he gets his mindset that he wants to make a run at politics, ya know what? I think he’ll do it,” Taker said. “He’s so charming, he’s so witty, I think he can be the uniter that people are looking for.”

Taker continued, “I know that he has the charisma. Maybe all it would take would be 1 eyebrow, and he’d look at the left, raise the eyebrow. Look at the right, raise an eyebrow and hit ’em with ‘the People’s Elbow.'”

Watch below to see The Undertaker’s comments about The Rock running for President:

The Rock Open to Presidential Run

The Rock
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

In a recent interview with USA Today, the Rock spoke about possibly running for President if that is what the people want him to do.

“I would consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted,” the Rock said. “Truly I mean that, and I’m not flippant in any way with my answer. That would be up to the people…So I would wait, and I would listen. I would have my finger on the pulse, my ear to the ground.”

Matt Riddle Responds To The Undertaker’s “Soft” Comments

0

The Undertaker went on the Joe Rogan Podcast recently and ruffled a few feathers when he referred to today’s roster as “soft.” Matt Riddle recently responded to the Undertaker’s comments in an interview with Vibe & Wrestling.

“I would say to the Undertaker and everyone, times have changed, the human race and everyone is changing and yes we don’t carry knives and weapons to work because we have metal detectors to keep us safe so people don’t.”

“We have a wellness policy where we are all tested regularly so that we are safe and in our right frame of mind,” Riddle continued.

In terms of today’s roster being soft, Riddle knows that’s not the case.

“I’m a professional UFC veteran who broke people’s jaws on a steel cage, something that wasn’t there when he was young.”

“He shouldn’t be saying some things about the upcoming roster because we’re real wild, not pretentious, so he should be careful,” Riddle continued.

Riddle said he still respects the Undertaker, however.

“I don’t think he wanted to be mean, I just think he thought his time was harder and I would say this, when he was working, times weren’t harder, they weren’t smart either and they were dumb. They abused certain things, they abused their bodies and they all pay the price.”

Riddle’s comments can be heard in the player below:

The Rock Says The People Will Decide If He Runs For President

0

On the series premiere of “Young Rock” on NBC Tuesday night, the premise of the show was that Dwayne Johnson is running for President in the year 2032. Many people have expressed that they really would like The Rock to actually run for the Presidency of the United States. In a recent interview with USA Today, the Rock says that he’ll consider it if it’s what “the people want.”

“I would consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted,” the Rock said. “Truly I mean that, and I’m not flippant in any way with my answer. That would be up to the people…So I would wait, and I would listen. I would have my finger on the pulse, my ear to the ground.”

One childhood story The Rock told on “Young Rock” this week was when he was disciplined for referring to pro-wrestling as fake. In the show, young Rocky is hoisted in the air by Andre the Giant for the offense. Andre then warned him never to use the “F word” again.

“Honestly, what would happen is when I stepped out of line like that, I would be brought into the ring,” Rock said. “Their way of discipline was to take me in the ring. And beat my a– in a way that I learned actually how not fake wrestling is.”

The horror film “Jakob’s Wife” with CM Punk is set to premiere at SXSW in March. It will debut in theatres and on-demand in April. After that, however, it has been picked up by AMC and its horror-themed streaming service, Shudder, and will debut on the service later this year. The movie has also been picked up by distribution company, RLJE Films.

“We’re thrilled to acquire Jakob’s Wife ahead of its world premiere at SXSW,” said Mark Ward from RLJE Films. “This film has already garnered tremendous following during production, and we’re confident Jakob’s Wife will be well received at the festival.”

The film’s description reads as follows:

“Anne, married to a small-town Minister, feels her life has been shrinking over the past 30 years. Encountering “The Master” brings her a new sense of power and an appetite to live bolder. However, the change comes with a heavy body count.”

Punk plays the role of Deputy Colton in the film.

In a 2019 interview, Punk listed off some of his favourite horror films.

“Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Thing, Night of the Living Dead,” Punk responded when asked his favorite horror films of all time. He would also recommend John Carpenter when asked about his favorite filmmakers. “John Carpenter! Christ he’s done so many amazing films!”

Bully Ray Talks How Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega Need To Approach Revolution Match

0

WWE Hall of Famer and co-host of Busted Open Radio Bully Ray recently discussed the upcoming Exploding Barbed Wire DeathMatch in AEW. It was confirmed on this week’s AEW Dynamite that Kenny Omega will be defending his Championship against Jon Moxley in the FMW classic match type at AEW Revolution.

“The match can work if you do it the right way” Bully Ray began. “If they try to do too much? It’s not gonna work. There’s a way to do it and it revolves around how you toy with the psychology leading up to it. It revolves around how many times you actually fall into the exploding barbed wire. It also revolves around what that means in the match.”

Bully Ray on Exploding DeathMatch

“One of my biggest problems with Last Man Standing matches is that talent will prostitute the count” Bully Ray continued. “When a ref starts counting early? You know the guy is gonna get up by two; but a little later he’s gonna get up by four, then a little later he’s gonna get up by six, a little later by eight and then you know whatever the finish is. If I’m doing a Last Man Standing match? I never want the count to be to be prostituted”

Bully Ray finished by discussing how he would approach the bout from a phycological standpoint. “I don’t want it to be used too much in this match. You build to the exploding barbed wire, you go into the barbed wire one to two times the get cut up, then you fall into the exploding stuff, and then you get a finish” Bully stated. “Don’t overdo it, because then it becomes overkill. You want to leave this match with just enough so these people would want to see it again.”

Paige Hopeful For In Ring Return “One Day”

0

It appears WWE Superstar Paige is hoping to follow in the footsteps Daniel Bryan and Edge by returning to in-ring competition after ‘career ending’ injuries.

This week’s episode of SmackDown featured a backstage segment involving the two former world champions where Edge told Bryan that his in ring return in 2018 inspired the Rated R Superstar to do the same.

WWE posted the video of the segment on their Twitter. Paige responded to the tweet and she suggested that she is hopeful about making an in-ring return herself somewhere down the line:

Daniel Bryan, Edge & Paige’s Retirement

Daniel Bryan was forced to retire from in ring competition due to multiple health issues in 2016 but he worked to get himself clear again and the former world champion made his in ring return in 2018.

Edge on the other hand, stayed away from in ring competition for almost 9 years after announcing his retirement in 2011. He finally returned to action during last year’s Royal Rumble event.

The 28-year-old Paige has been away from in-ring competition after she suffered a neck injury during a house show in December 2017. The former champion has hinted at potential in-ring return multiple times recently and it would be interesting to see if she returns to active competition in near future.

Zack Ryder On How Much Money His Podcast Makes Compared To His WWE Deal

0

Former WWE star Zack Ryder recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet where he talked about a number of things and also shared some interesting financial comparisons about his podcast.

The former US Champion, real name Matthew Cardona has his own podcast dubbed The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast which he co-hosts alongside fellow former WWE star Curt Hawkins aka Brian Myers.

During the interview, Ryder was discussing if his podcast could become a full-time career in future and he revealed that their show actually made more money last year than he was making with his WWE contract:

“I do think that for sure. Yeah, I think it’s totally possible. So, I will say that the company, the Major Wrestling Figure podcast as a company made more last year than my WWE contract, I’ll say that.”

Zack Ryder explained that while the earnings from the podcast are split among multiple people, the amount of money it made still exceeded his WWE pay:

“That’s not…that’s split between me and Brian [Myers], we have a producer etc. I’m saying there’s there’s other things. I don’t know the net or the gross; I’m not a businessman, or whatever!

I don’t know it in those terms, but the amount of money that did come in for the podcast? It was more than I made in WWE, or more than my contract.”

Zack Ryder was released from his WWE contract after almost 15 years as part of the coronavirus budget cuts last year. He has made appearances for AEW and Impact since then but he hasn’t signed a contract with any promotion.

Bobby Lashley On How The Hurt Business Differs from Nation Of Domination

0

Bobby Lashley, who is the CEO of his faction The Hurt Business, have become a formidable force in WWE since their formation last year. The group has found championship success in that the United States Championship as well as the Raw Tag Team Championships are under The Hurt Business’ hold.

The Hurt Business gets often compared to the Nation of Domination, but Bobby Lashley does not share the same opinion. He dismissed any comparisons between the two factions in a recent interview with Sporting News. Lashley explained that they wanted to represent African-American men in a way that hasn’t been done before:

“My first thought was ‘Thank you!’ But that’s not who we were. Because you see a group of Black guys, some people immediately associate them with another group of Black guys,” Bobby Lashley said. “I love what The Nation did, but that’s not what we’re about at all. But we are totally different. It’s not about black and white; we are about green and gold. We are thugs in suits because we have a hardcore style, but want to look good doing it. We wanted to show a different representation of Black men because we haven’t seen that. We are four professional Black men who can mess you up. That’s what we’re all about.”

With leader MVP and CEO Bobby Lashley, along with members Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin, The Hurt Business does not seem like they’re looking to advance. Back in October, Titus O’Neil requested to join the group, but was rejected and brutally assaulted by the group. Since then, however, Bobby Lashley has shown interest in a member of the roster that according to him could make a good addition to the group.

Bobby Lashley has said that Keith Lee is a star who is ready to breakout and the Hurt Business would propel him to the next level. Lashley stated, “He has been going out there and doing everything he has to do. I think he’s the kind of person who might need a little Hurt Business in his life to take him to that next level. He is ready to breakout, as are others.”

Sami Zayn On Reason Behind Name-Dropping AEW On Raw Back In 2019

0

Sami Zayn did something that was unexpected live on WWE TV just days after All Elite Wrestling held their first pay-per-view Double or Nothing event back in 2019.

He name-dropped AEW during a segment on Monday Night Raw, which would be the first time the rival promotion’s name was mentioned on WWE programming.

The first and unfortunately the only edition of the Electric Chair segment saw Sami Zayn taking unfiltered questions from members of the audience and answering them while sitting on an apparently real electric chair. The segment aired on the May 27, 2019 episode of Raw, just two days after Double or Nothing.

Sami Zayn recalled the segment in an interview with Sportskeeda, stating that he anticipated that questions about the AEW would be submitted by the audience as the debut of the promotion was topical at the time, but to his surprise nobody went for the low-hanging fruit.

“So it was right on everybody’s mind. It was super, super fresh and I think they had just announced this TV deal. They had just announced that this wasn’t just going to be a pay-per-view. This is going to be a competitor and all this sort of stuff. And they tell me that we’re doing this segment where it’s legitimately, you know, unplanned questions and anybody could ask anything. So at the time this was the number one topic in the wrestling world. So you kind of expected to be asked about it,” Sami Zayn said.

Zayn revealed that the idea behind the Electric Chair segment was that it was supposed to an unscripted and unpredictable segment. Seeing the questions he got, Zayn felt that it doesn’t have the risky vibes that was the point of the experimental segment. So instead, he took it upon himself to mention AEW on the otherwise lifeless segment.

“As I was out there, I was like, this doesn’t have these vibes, these questions are too sterile. So I felt like it was upon me, it was incumbent upon me, to sort of make it controversial. And the fact that we’re talking about it now, all this time later, you know I hate to say I was right, but I kind of think I was right to do it,” Sami Zayn explained.

While Sami Zayn was able to elicit a reaction of shock by viewers, it wasn’t so favorable for him backstage and the Electric Chair segment was nixed just after its debut.
