While Impact’s Redemption PPV was filled with many surprising incidents and multiple title changes, the most shocking moment of the night had to be Pentagon Jr. winning the Impact World Championship.
After Officials released Alberto El Patron, they had announced that the main event of the Redemption PPV will be Austin Aries defending the Impact World title against Rey Fenix and Pentagon Jr in a Triple Threat match.
The match took place on the PPV last night. During the closing moments of the bout, Pentagon delivered a package piledriver to both Fenix and Aries at the same time and then he set up A Double for an Arm Breaker.
Following a successful delivery of the Arm Breaker, the new Champion went on to execute a Pentagon Driver on to the former WWE Star and then pinned Aries for the Championship victory:

After this win, Pentagon Jr. has become the first person to hold both the Impact World Championship and the Lucha Underground Championship in his career which are the top titles of their respective promotions.
This title change is especially surprising as the match was made official only two weeks ago in the wake of Alberto El Patron’s no show of Impact Vs Lucha Underground event and his firing from the company.
Now it’d be interesting to see how Officials follow this title change on the next episode of Impact this Thursday.
