The sixth week of the WWE NXT vs. AEW Dynamite war is in the books.
Viewership data has been released for the November 6th editions of AEW Dynamite on TNT and NXT on the USA Network.
Here is the breakdown of the live and same-night DVR viewership, courtesy of Showbuzz Daily:
WWE NXT averaged 813,000 viewers, which is up from the 580,000 viewers that the show drew last week on the USA Network. In the 18-49 demos, the show drew 0.30, up from 0.18 from last week.
Matches that took place on the NXT show included Pete Dunne vs. Damian Priest, Shayna Baszler vs. Dakota Kai, Angel Garza vs. Tony Nese in a WWE NXT Cruiserweight Title #1 Contendership Match, and Keith Lee, Matt Riddle & Tommaso Ciampa vs. The OC in the headliner.
AEW Dynamite that aired during the same time slot on TNT pulled in 822,000, which is up from last week’s episode that did 759,000. The key number is the 18-49 demos that saw AEW draw 0.35, up from the 0.33 last week.
Top matches on AEW included PAC vs. Trent, Private Party vs. The Dark Order, and Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara vs. Adam Page & Kenny Omega in the headliner.
Last week, both shows were down as expected as they went up against game seven of the MLB World Series Game on FOX that drew 23.013 million on FOX.
This marks the closest margin of viewership between the two shows to date. NXT and AEW went up an NBA game on ESPN that drew 1.491 million viewers.
WWE and AEW will attempt to increase viewership with next week’s episodes, which should be interesting to see what number it pulls in. AEW will have its post-show of Dynamite for the Full Gear pay-per-view event.
