Apollo Sent A Message To MVP

MVP came to the ring with Lashley and Shelton Benjamin for an episode of the VIP Lounge. MVP said that there is a conspiracy going on and wondered how he is supposed to win titles with lights flickering on and off. MVP accused Apollo of blinking the lights last week and Crews interrupted.

Apollo Crews said that MVP is always making excuses and boasted about walking around with the new US Championship that MVP paid thousands of dollars for. Crews told MVP that the only lights that will be going out at SummerSlam will be his. Crews rolled into the ring and hit MVP with a punch to the face before launching a couch out of the ring.

Crews battled Shelton Benjamin in a singles match as MVP and Lashley were ringside. Lashley hopped on the ring apron for a distraction and Benjamin capitalized with a roll-up for the victory. After the match, Crews hit MVP with an Enziguri that knocked him out in the middle of the ring. Apollo will defend the United States Championship against MVP at SummerSlam.

Asuka Will Face Sasha Banks At SummerSlam For The RAW Women’s Championship

Asuka faced Bayley tonight on RAW. If Asuka won, she would earn a rematch against Sasha Banks for the RAW Women’s Championship at SummerSlam.

Match Recap: Asuka dominated early and sent Bayley tumbling out of the ring with a Hip Attack. Bayley battled back and applied a Headlock as the lights started flickering in the Performance Center again.

Asuka escaped and hit another Hip Attack for a near fall as RAW went to a commercial break. When RAW returned, Asuka connected with a Dropkick off the middle rope for a near fall.

Banks hopped on the ring apron for a distraction and Bayley capitalized by applying a Heel Hook in the middle of the ring. Asuka fought through the pain and reached the bottom rope to break the hold.

Bayley focused her attack on Asuka’s knee and stomped on it against the ropes. Banks bashed Asuka’s knee off the apron as Bayley distracted the referee. Asuka applied an Ankle Lock but Bayley countered into a roll-up for a near fall.

Asuka connected with a knee to the face and went for the cover but Bayley was able to kick out at the last moment. Bayley slammed Asuka to the canvas and made her way to the top rope. Bayley hit an Elbow Drop and went for the cover but Asuka kicked out at two.

Bayley hit a spinning backfist and followed it up with a Sunset Bomb that sent Asuka into the turnbuckle. Bayley marched around the ring to mock Kairi Sane and it backfired. Asuka applied the Asuka Lock for the submission victory. Asuka will face Sasha Banks for the RAW Women’s Championship at SummerSlam.

Opinion: RAW completely fell off a cliff after the first segment but Bayley and Asuka saved it. This match was awesome and I’m looking forward to Asuka versus Sasha Banks at SummerSlam.
