What The End Of ECW Means For The ECW Championship

What The End Of ECW Means For The ECW Championship

For those wondering, the future of the ECW Championship has not yet been decided on. Though ECW will cease to exist next week, the belt may linger on in some fashion.

Internally, some are lobbying to keep the belt, but ultimately, Vince McMahon will decide its fate and he hasn’t made a decision yet.

Those pushing to keep it feel it can still be used as an attraction for undercards of secondary pay-per-view events.

If it was up to me, I would keep the ECW brand so we could keep seeing rising superstars like Sheamus, Kofi kingston, Cm Punk etc. oh btw ECW beats TNA by a long shot.

  2. K-Fist says:

My gawd, just get rid of the belt. You guys don’t need that many belts, in fact you only need to have four title belts total– A world title, tag title, u.s. or intercontiental and a women’s title. Let the champs defend on both shows since the roster split means sh*t anyways.

  3. ShahiThaKilla says:

How are Sheamus and CM Punk rising stars? They have both held the World Championship in WWE.

  4. MarlaT123 says:

let it die for god sake’ drive a stake through the middle and be done with it

  5. BayArea08 says:

@ShahiThaKilla. Sheamus & Punk are still rising stars since they haven’t been in WWE for that long. And they are not at that MAIN EVENT level like Triple H or Undertaker just yet.

  6. PhenomenalTB says:

I say if ECW is goin 2 bed, then so shall the ECW title. WWE can just make a NXT title if they wanted to.

  7. gcmissouri says:

Hey BayArea… if ECW “beats TNA by a long shot,” then I wish that I could be watching the same ECW that you are.

  8. JamieEvsxx says:

I agree with PhenomenalTB…if ECW goes…then the ECW Championship goes…coz theres no point in getting rid of the show and keeping the title…coz what good will it be when ECW doesn’t exist ? …it’ll just be some random title…and @BayArea08…how does ECW beat TNA ?…unless you’re talking about the old ECW…when they had RVD, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, Sandman etc…now its not ECW with out the ECW Originals…the current ECW probably stands for…Extremely Crap Wrestling…so no wonder they’re getting rid of the show…=P
