MAILBAG: Did Sid Really Crap His Pants At WrestleMania 13?

15

SEScoops Mailbag for March 25th

(submit YOUR questions to [email protected])

Q: Just wondering, if WWE isn’t having a Money In The Bank Match, then why is it both mid-level champions are being used in squash matches on a weekly basis? Without a MITB match, they will need a US or IC title defense [on the WrestleMania card] and both Bryan and Kingston barely get TV time and when they do they get demolished. Your thoughts? – Mathew

A: I agree that your champions, mid-level or otherwise, should not be used as squash guys. I really think WWE is making a mistake by not utilizing actual jobbers for one or two squash matches a week on TV to help younger guys get their moves over. I’m not saying a return to the days of Superstars and Wrestling Challenge would be a wise move (for ratings it certainly wouldn’t be), but those matches do have a place in today’s product. These days, a new guy will make his in-ring debut against an established player on his first night in instead of building to a credible challenger over the course of several weeks. When a veteran like Rey Mysterio puts over Alberto Del Rio and his new submission hold in his very first match on TV, that works great and gives Del Rio instant credibility, but how often does that actually happen?

Q: I want to know that why hasn’t WWE toured India more than once in all these years? And why are there no Indian wrestlers in WWE except The Great Khali? WWE toured India in 2004. Was that an unsuccessful tour or is WWE simply not interested in expanding their business in Indian market? Also, don’t you think Great Khali was a high profile star when he debuted in WWE, but he became underrated soon [even though] his fan following [remained] quite high? – Sagar Punjabi, India

A: WWE is always looking to expand their international business. I believe it was on their tour of India in 2002 that several superstars fell violently ill from food poisoning, including William Regal who nearly died a few months later. The wrestlers complained loudly about the conditions and some vowed they would quit the company before ever touring India again. I would imagine that has something to do with it. As for Khali, I know he’s revered as a big star in that part of the world, but here he’s just another big guy that can’t work. He’s got some personality, but I just don’t think it translates as well to the North American audience. He wasn’t really a “high profile” star here when he debuted, he simply got a big push because of his size and now he’s in the role that he belongs in.

Q: Do you think Vince McMahon will let Ric Flair or any member of the TNA roster into the Phillips Arena to see Shawn Michaels get inducted into the HOF? – Rory

A: The better question is whether TNA would allow it. In the past, they have not, although I believe some of their talent has snuck in before. If Ric Flair wants to go to the Hall of Fame and TNA allows it, I don’t see Vince McMahon stopping it.

Q: Would TNA have been better served to send out another member of Immortal, like Matt Hardy, to have a no build-up, 15 minute match with Sting than the sham they had at Victory Road? I know WWE would have done that. – Trust, Germany

A: You can’t even make that comparison to WWE in this situation because they never would have allowed for it to happen in the first place. He never would have been even been sent to the ring. To be fair, if Jeff Hardy is ultimately fired from TNA and doesn’t serve jail time on his pending drug charges, WWE will try to sign him up in a heartbeat. They would likely require he attend rehab first and foremost, but they are as guilty as TNA when it comes to this stuff. They will turn a blind eye and try to get him back under contract. Now, should TNA have sent Matt Hardy out to replace his brother? I’d have sent out Samoa Joe seeing as how Matt already wrestled earlier against A.J. Styles and Joe wasn’t even on the show. Joe and Sting have had matches before that I recall as being pretty good. Really, you could have sent any able-bodied wrestler from the back, heel or face, to at least give the fans a serviceable main event instead of the atrocity that we saw. I don’t feel the least bit sorry for TNA. They put themselves in this situation and deserve all of the blame. Jeff seemingly doesn’t know any better and the warning signs existed long before Victory Road, so I can’t even blame him.

Q: I just recently read online that Sid Vicious pooped his pants in his match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 13. Is there any truth to this? – Phil M.

A: Pure folklore, it’s never been confirmed. People have said that Taker himself has confirmed the story in the past, but I have yet to see evidence of such an admission. That said, wrestlers have, in fact, LITERALLY lost their shit during matches, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility. There’s the infamous story of Andre the Giant having diarrhea during a 6-man tag match while sitting on Bad News Brown’s (pun absolutely intended!) face in the corner. Also, John Cena noted in a WWE Magazine interview in 2008 that he once got sick during a match with Scott Steiner in Winnipeg. He was suffering from food poisoning and went underneath the ring at one point during the match to vomit. Unfortunately, he also crapped his pants at the same time. Barney’s turd, indeed.

Q: Everyone is talking about how Undertaker/Cena is the only WrestleMania match that could end the streak if Triple H fails. What about Taker/Jericho? – Ryan B.

A: Absolutely not! Perhaps, and I stress perhaps, they could have done this a year or two ago and built it up as the first-ever meeting between two of the company’s biggest stars, but they blew that the moment they put them in the ring against each other on Smackdown. They had a unique match that had never been done before and wasted it on a TV match that not many people are likely to remember. To be honest, even if they never had that match, I cannot fathom anyone on planet earth believing for a second that Jericho would actually have a shot at ending the streak. I think Y2J is a fantastic performer, the MVP of the promotion in fact in 2008-2009, but it’s not the right booking for Taker on the biggest show of the year. I do think that matching Taker up with Cena next year would force them to tone down dramatically on the comedy with him, which would be a gigantic plus, and you’d have plenty more people believing that if anyone can end the streak, it’s the man who has been involved in a championship match in every single WrestleMania he’s ever been part of.

Q: I’ve been wondering, why hasn’t WWE turned guys like Rey Mysterio heel at all? It’s just flippin’ weird, almost every WWE superstar turns heel somewhere in their career, but why not Rey Rey? – Brad L.

A: First of all, I like the fact that he has remained a babyface throughout his WWE run. Too many guys are turned for no good reason, and then you have stars like Kane and Big Show who have turned so many times in the last 10 years, I’ve lost count. Ricky Steamboat is the most well-known example of a major star who not only never turned in his WWE career, but played the role of babyface throughout his entire career. He did just fine for himself. Secondly, turning Rey heel at this point would be about as successful as Jeff Hardy’s heel turn in TNA (minus the 90-second match with Sting). Rey’s not really a great talker and if he turned heel, he’d have to do one hell of a job on promos getting the fans to hate him. You already have people who boo him, but that’s more smart fan backlash, a la John Cena. Plus, much like Hardy, you’re sacrificing millions in merchandise money by turning one of your top sellers. It’s also worth noting that his small size makes him more suitable to be a babyface than a heel.

Q: If you could pick one TNA home grown star that you think could go to WWE and become a big star, who would you pick? – Ryan

A: I could go the easy route and say A.J. Styles or Samoa Joe, either of whom if used properly could be a HUGE star in WWE, but I’m going to be more practical and say Robert Roode. He’s got the size and look that WWE loves and he’s one hell of a talented performer who has improved ten-fold during his TNA tenure. I believe he signed a lengthy contract extension fairly recently, so good for him and I think Beer Money is a great act, but he’s wasted potential as long as he stays there.

Q: Did Rob Van Dam get his name due to his likeness to actor Jean Claude Van Damme or is it pure coincidence? – Matt from Kent, UK

A: Indeed, he was given the name for that very reason back in 1991 by Florida promoter Ron Slinker, who also helped get him into WCW (as Robbie V). Beyond the physical resemblance, Slinker also felt they shared similar styles. Since you brought up JCVD, this gives me the perfect excuse to tell people to visit YouTube and type in “bloodsport mentos” for a hilarious, mock Mentos commercial synced to footage from one of his movies. Anyone who remember those cheesy ads from the 90’s will appreciate it. I guarantee you’ve never seen a more authentic-looking parody.

Bret Hart Auctioning Hogan & Flair Cartoons For Japan

15

Earlier this week, we posted a cartoon that WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart drew of “roid king” Hulk Hogan.

Now, Bret is selling that cartoon – along with another one he drew of “Nature Boy” Ric Flair – with 100% of the proceeds going to the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund.

Say what you want about the ongoing trading of insults between Hart, Hogan and Flair, but at least Bret is turning the negativity into something positive ..

Candice Michelle Says Divas Should Be Mad About Snooki

12

Monday Night Mayhem with Candice Michelle
Hosted By The Big Mosh & “The Chairman of the Board” Todd Vincent
Heard LIVE Monday Evenings @ 7PM ET/6PM CT

Former WWE Diva/WWE Women’s Champion, former Playboy cover model, & Go Daddy Girl Candice Michelle was one of the featured guests on this week’s live edition of Monday Night Mayhem.

Candice Michelle Discusses Her Transition From Leaving The WWE Into The Role Of Motherhood, Why She Believes That Her WWE Release Came At A Perfect Time In Her Life, Her WrestleMania Memories, If She Was Approached To Join TNA’s Knockout Division, Whether Or Not The In-Ring Chapter Of Her Career Has Come To A Close, Her Forthcoming Projects With Go Daddy, The Return Of The WWE Diva Search, Plus Her Message To The WWE Divas That May Feel Their WrestleMania Spot Is Being Taken By Snooki.

You can listen to an MP3 of the radio show by clicking here.

Interview highlights courtesy of The Mayhem’s official correspondent, Paterson from New Jersey:

Her transition from leaving the WWE into the role of motherhood & why she believes that her WWE release came at a perfect time in her life: “For me, it’s been an awesome transition. I think it’s because I loved my time at the WWE. I loved the people I worked with, and I felt blessed there. And then when my released happened, I think it came at a perfect time in my life. I don’t think I was quite ready to say ‘I’m done,’ but when they released me, I realized that my life had a new venture. And then when motherhood came along, it was the best thing in the world. Her smile warms my heart everyday, so it’s been an awesome transition, and I feel very blessed in life.”

Her message to the WWE Divas that may feel like their WrestleMania spot in being taken by Snooki: “The WWE is smart for putting her in WrestleMania because of the advertising it will bring. However, if I was a WWE Diva currently in the locker room, I’d be pissed off. You’re busting your ass every night, you’re going overseas, and traveling, and driving, and someone just comes in that has never wrestled a day in their life and has your spot? That’s sh*tty. My advice to them is be who you are, do the best you can, and get noticed. Snooki is noticed for what, being a drunk on a TV show being wild & crazy? Do I respect her? Yes. Does she deserve that spot? No.”

Why she feels the in-ring chapter of her career is closed & whether or not she was approached by TNA to join their Knockouts division: “When I first left WWE and my non-compete clause was coming to an end, there was a mention that there was an interest in that door to be opened. For me, I was on the biggest stage that there was, and it felt like it was just a time in my life to close that chapter. I think TNA is great, and I sometimes prefer to watch TNA. My friends are there. I think the product is awesome. I love what they do with the girls division over there. It’s different. I feel like I’ve been watching the same thing over & over sometimes with the storylines getting redundant on WWE. I’ve always said ‘never say never,’ but in reality, I think that chapter is closed for me.”

Bobby Lashley Fighting Tonight On HDNet

5
John Ott - Bobby Lashley's Next Opponent (3/25)

Former WWE and TNA wrestler turned MMA fighter Bobby Lashley will step back in the cage next tonight – but he didn’t know who is his opponent would be until just a week ago.

Kansas City-based heavyweight James Jack (6-2) had been scheduled to fight Lashley in the main event of Titan Fighting Championship 17 but has been pulled from the show and replaced by John Ott (9-7).

According to a press release from Titan Fights, James Jack’s departure from the card comes under “questionable circumstances” after the organization was unable to reach him for several weeks leading up to the fight.

Ott, who normally competes in the 185 and 205 lbs. divisions, is currently walking at 225 lbs.

“John might be a little heavy for the fight but the extra weight he is carrying is all muscle,” said Kelly. “From a pure strength standpoint, he will be able to go in and compete with Bobby. His strong amateur wrestling credentials will also potentially allow him to neutralize Bobby’s takedowns and force the fight to stay on the feet.”

Titan Fighting Championship will air live on HDNet on tonight at 10pm ET.

Hogan Appears On American Idol, Hardy Denies Marriage Rumor

17

— TNA Wrestling Superstar Hulk Hogan made a surprise appearance on tonight’s American Idol results show.

Following a segment from the Idol Mansion concerning contestant James Durbin’s professional wrestling fanship (which featured the finalist doing an imitation of WWE Superstar The Miz), Hogan appeared in person to inform him that he was safe from elimination and had made it into the top ten.

Hogan then told Ryan Seacrest that he “wasn’t safe” and threw a worked punch at him with the Idol host pretending to be knocked out. Hogan then tore off his shirt while Durbin cut a wrestling style spiel.

— Matt Hardy is denying that he is engaged to be married to Lucha Libre USA: Masked Warriors personality Reby Sky, a former Playboy model. He claims that it was a joke.

“To set the record straight-6/17 is our 6 month anniversary as a couple & we joked about gettin married-Which some peeps took very serious,” he wrote. “And besides, I probably wouldn’t ever be able to marry someone as beautiful, lovely, sweet, wonderful, & talented as Reby Sky anyway.”

Sky was asked on her Formspring account if she was marrying Hardy and she replied yes (with no hint of joking), including the wedding date. The message has since been deleted and she is now saying that she is not engaged.

18

During an interview with Associated Press sports writer Dan Gelston, RAW superstar John Cena talked about how badly he wants to wrestle The Rock and what his return to WWE means to the overall WWE product.

When asked about when we’ll see him get a shot at The Rock, Cena said, “I have been willing to do anything for that match. I will do anything for that match. If I have to talk more trash about The Rock, I’m your guy.”

Cena also praised the impact The Rock’s recent return has had on the company.

“I can’t tell you how much it plugs our product back in,” he said. “It’s like getting hooked up to defibrillators. It’s the one little jump-start we needed.”

Cena put over WrestleMania, saying “WWE will always be the greatest show you’ll ever see.”

The Rock Open To Wrestling Again, Excited About His Future

18

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson spoke to Associated Press sports writer Dan Gelston this week about his return to WWE, the build to WrestleMania and beyond. The most newsworthy part of the interview, which you can read at Sports.Yahoo.com in its entirety, is that The Rock is more open to wrestling another match than he’s been in the past several years.

“I’ve never said never,” Rock said. “I’m open to it. For years when I was asked that, I kept my emotions very close to my sleeve.

“I would say, ‘No, I don’t see myself wrestling a match,’ because I didn’t want to leave that open too much. I wanted to make sure I was concentrating solely on my goals in acting.”

Rock thinks he can handle his movie career while still making appearances for WWE, which would include getting back in the ring.

“It’s ‘The People’s Era’ that’s getting ready to happen,” he said. “It’s just beginning.”

HBK Recalls The Toughest Day Of His Career, Wrestling Vince

4

The Score Television Network’s Arda Ocal & Renee Paquette interviewed future WWE Hall of Famer, Shawn Michaels. Highlights:

Was WrestleMania 14 being the “toughest day at the office” in his career? (2:00)
“Yeah. Yeah it was. I wasn’t in a good place physically, obviously. But also mentally. It was just bad, all around. It was the culmination of a lot of things – a lot of bad things. And I would love to tell everybody that I was faking – and fooling – everybody, but it was a pretty rough day at the office, to say the least. And I guess, because I was in such a horrible place at that time, I never really envisioned people really grasping the fact that – ‘holy cow man, I don’t care if I don’t like him, that dude is beating the heck out of himself and he’s not in any shape to be doing it’. Over time, people now get it. But when you’re doing it, you don’t realize that people are sort of uncomfortable watching you while you’re doing it.”

How he felt emotionally & physically after WrestleMania 14 (3:45)

His thoughts on Triple H vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 27 (5:45)

How he would feel if Triple H is the one to break the streak (7:40)

What he felt when wrestling Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 22 (9:10)
“What I really enjoyed about that WrestleMania is that I didn’t feel the pressure as I did in every other one. Because that one wasn’t so much – ‘hey, Shawn Michaels has got to be Mr. WrestleMania and steal the show’ – because I was in there with Vince McMahon, I don’t think people expect a phenomenal wrestling match. Just from a pressure standpoint, that being off my shoulders allowed me the fact the enjoy that I was out there with my boss and I get to beat the heck out of him.”

What he thinks of Vince McMahon, as a performer (10:00)

What was bigger for his career: the infamous barbershop incident or the creation of DX? (11:40)

*SPOILERS* TNA iMPACT! Tapings Results For Tonight

12

TNA iMPACT! Tapings Results For 3/24
Credit to Wrestling News World for this report

* They’re setting up for the start of Impact. They have a whiteboard with formulas, graphs and calculations in the center of the ring. Mr. Anderson’s music starts and the crowd erupts. He comes to the ring with a gentleman in a suit. He’s Professor Shubert from the University of Green Bay. He’s one of the finest mathematicians to ever come out of Wisconsin. Anderson admits they didn’t get along because when the professor was talking about integers he was thinking about Mary Beth Kapowski. Now he’s here because these two a–holes backstage, Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan, their math is off. Last week he had a match with Reefer Van Dam. Both guys had their shoulders down. 1 2 3 = tie. Add that to the fact he never got his rematch. 0 + his one rematch he didn’t get = I WANT MY FRICKING REMATCH! Now back to Mary Beth Kapowski. Professor, did you not approve because he was teaching integers or because he was into her? She told Anderson that Shubert told her he was gay. Anderson asks if that’s true. Shubert admits it was true. Anderson says that’s cool, one of his best friends is gay. So let me give you something to remember me by. Anderson Mic Checks the professor. Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff then come out. Eric asks if he’s trying to be funny? He’s a bad comedian. Eric asks Hulk if this is the same guy he sees something in? Eric asks Anderson if he goes around beating up every teacher he didn’t like. Eric says he’s done with him. Hogan says hold on, he thinks Anderson is hilarious. He’s spot on. But he’s been running amuck, breaking the rules, breaking my rules. He says Anderson can do this the easy way or the hard way. The easy way is the Immortal way and every perk that comes with it. He tells him there is no rematch unless Anderson earns it and he hasn’t earned it. Anderson says he’s earned it already. Hogan says all he has is a contract signed by Dixie Carter. He can take that contract and wipe his a– with it.

* Hogan says if Anderson can beat Rob Van Dam then he gets his shot. Anderson says RVD isn’t even in his league. RVD’s music immediately hits. RVD says don’t act surprised. This is pro wrestling. You talk smack, the guy’s music hits, he comes out, you answer for what you said. RVD isn’t happy about this but will do what he has to to get the title. He was here because everybody called him to come to TNA but came because Hulk Hogan called him and said be who you want. If that’s true then this is RVDTV. Sting comes out to the ramp. He said that he spoke to the network since they’ve been talking to Hogan nd Bischoff so much. They said in RVD vs. Anderson they want him to be the special enforcer. And if something goes wrong then he’s in charge and that means it’s SHOWTIME!

* Mickie James vs. Tara. Winner via Last Kiss Goodnight, Mickie James. TNA Knockout Women’s Champion Madison Rayne stood on the entrance ramp after the match. She and Mickie had a stare down until Madison left.

* Okato vs. “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero. Winner via DQ after Pope hit Okato while wearing rings, Okato. After the match, Dinero knocked the referee out with a backhand. Samoa Joe ran out but Pope bailed. Okato got his mouth busted open during the match. Afterwards trainers checked him while he bled. They helped him to the back and cleaned the blood from the ring.

* Ric Flair “styles and profiles” to the ring with Bully Ray and Matt Hardy. Flair likes to steal the show but tonight “god” is here for others. He’s here with two of the best tag team wrestlers of all-time. Hardy says he has some guys they’ve all had problems with and those guys are Fortune. He wants them all out here right now. He and Ray were young and hungry like those guys once. But he and Ray changed the industry. Crowd chants we want Fortune. He says they became mega celebrities, making lots of money and gaining lots of success. But the same people shaking their hands along the way and saying they were great were also working against them knowing they couldn’t control them. Crowd chants boring and is very against Hardy talking. He goes on saying that he, Ray, Flair, Immortal are where it’s at and need to get with them to achieve their dreams and aspirations. Bully Ray says he sent AJ Styles a message last week, powerbombing him through a table. Why did he do it? Because he can. Now that they’ve taken care of AJ, how about the rest of Fortune take them on? Or do they not have the balls for it? Fortune comes out and attacks Immortal. They beat them all up and get ready to take Flair out. The lights go down except for red lights.

* Abyss appears, wearing a duster and a new outfit. He takes out Fortune and Immortal start laying a major beat down on Fortune. Bully Ray uses his chain, Abyss hits some Black Hole Slams as Fortune can’t do anything about it. Immortal leaves a battered and bruised Fortune laying in the ring.

* Hernandez, his new associate, Sarita and Rosita come to the ring. He says he knows you know who Sarita and Rosita are. His new friend is Esteban something or other. He’s his assistant in this new association of Mexican Americans. They’re taking your women and your jobs. They keep mixing in things in Spanish so I don’t always know what they’re saying. Hernandez says they’re the superior race. Soon the people will stop worshiping this (an American flag comes down) and will soon worship this (a giant Mexican flag comes down). Loud USA chant starts. Hernandez says Matt Morgan and Devon want a fight, they can have a street fight right now. Matt Morgan and Devon come out and accept.

* Street fight, Hernandez & Esteban vs. Matt Morgan & Brother Devon. During the match Sarita and Rosita interfere so Velvet Sky ran down and attacked them. She couldn’t handle both and a beatdown occurs until Angelina Love comes out. She slowly walks towards Sarita and Rosita. She looks weird and has a vacant look. Winter comes out and screams at Angelina to leave. Angelina leaves and the beat down on Velvet continues until Morgan stops it. While this is happening, Esteban hits Devon from behind with a loaded forearm shot for the win. Winners via loaded forearm, Hernandez & Esteban.

* Brooke Hogan and Hulk’s wife are here again.

* Rob Van Dam vs. Mr. Anderson with special guest enforcer TNA Champion Sting. Referee Brian Hebner got knocked out during the match so Sting took over as referee. No winner as Sting and Anderson started fighting. Anderson slid a chair in the ring. While Sting got rid of it, Anderson kicked RVD in the groin and then hit a Mic Check on RVD into the ring post. Anderson demanded Sting count him out but they argued and ended up fighting. Security and agents ran down and had to break the two apart.

Richie Steamboat Talks FCW, Rivalry With The Flair Family & More

2

Developmental star Richie Steamboat, son of WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, was recently interviewed by The Miami Herald. Here are a few highlights of what the second generation Steamboat said about:

Training at WWE Developmental (FCW): “This is the best facility in the world. We’ve got some of the best trainers in the world, Dr. Tom Prichard, Norman Smiley, Joey Mercury, my father Ricky Steamboat, Dusty Rhodes. They’re open to all of us, seven days a week. It’s great. You can come in here with any questions, any concerns about moves, anything at all. They’re open and honest, and they’re here to help. It’s a very, very good establishment.”

Growing Up Around Other Wrestler’s Sons: “Growing up I knew the Usos [Rikishi Fatu’s sons] and Brett DiBiase [Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase’s son] and Joe Hennig [Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig’s son]. A lot of those guys I would see them around the buildings at shows, and we would try touch the forklifts and get into trouble like that, being kids.”

His Amateur Wrestling Feud With Reid Flair “We would travel to about 80 percent of the same wrestling tournaments, and there would be an occasion where I would look across the mat, and I would see Reid and his father, Ric, standing there, and I would be competing against him. It was always a very friendly rivalry. The fathers had a little bit more of a rivalry than we did, but I’ll tell you this; Reid never beat me.”

JR Blog: Abdullah In The HOF, Brock Lesnar, OU Commentating

1

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is back with another blog, which you can read in its entirety at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are some highlights of what JR wrote about:

Not Getting The OU Commentating Position: “I missed out on the OU Football play by play position but the University made an excellent hire with 37 year old Toby Rowland. I’m disappointed that I didn’t get a shot at my childhood ‘dream job’ but I’m happy for Toby and know that he will do a great job of underscoring the ‘theater of the mind,’ better known as radio, to the Sooner faithful. ”

Brock Lesnar Coaching UFC’s Ultimate Fighter Show: “Look for Brock Lesnar to pop up on ESPN over the next few days, perhaps with Jonathan Coachman, for a ‘unique’ feature on the former WWE, UFC and NCAA Champion. Brock next fights June 11, at this time in Vancouver, against Junior Dos Santos. Of course Lesnar is one of the coaches for The Ultimate Fighter which debuts soon not to mention that Brock’s book, co-written with Paul Heyman, will be in stores in a few weeks. I’m anxious to read Brock’s book and hope that you check it out as well.”

Abdullah The Butcher In The Hall of Fame: “In my four plus decades in the wrestling biz, I can’t name anyone who stood their ground against a variety of power brokers and stayed loyal to their in ring persona more than new WWE Hall of Fame Inductee Abdullah the Butcher. Abby perfected his game plan decades ago and never deviated from it to any significant degree. He stayed independent in his thinking and managed his own career while becoming a financially secure, Global, main event performer. ‘Butch’ as the late, great Gary Hart used to call him, is also very astute. If someone pulled the wool over Abdullah’s eyes, they only did it once. He gave me some great advice as a young man who was just getting into corporate management within this wacky business.”

Former WWE Superstar “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels stepped inside the WTR Squared Circle this past Wednesday to talk about his his charity auction for how you can win a chance to Meet Shawn Michaels and see him get inducted in to the WWE Hall of Fame, along with more memories from his WWE Career.

On deciding who will induct him in to the WWE Hall of Fame.

“Its one of things where I find myself debating whether I make it different or do what I want to do or do I make it interesting or do I make it controversial, its hard for me to get out of the performance mode, they keep telling me its about you just enjoy it, its just hard not to feel like people are expecting something. Its hard for me not to think that I have to do something and I have had a tough time narrowing down whether I am just going to enjoy it or make it a performance.”

On how Shawn Michaels & Chris Jericho came up with the aftermath of their Wrestlemania 19 Match Up.

“I always likened it to Godfather 2 when Michael Corleone kisses Fredo and says I knew it was you. We thought about numermous different things and I said how about nothing works better than a swift kick to the nuts.”

On working with Chris Jericho

“One of the sheer joys he and I had, we both love sitting around with each other and coming up with things to make things just a little better and really get in to the creative process.”
