Randy Orton Joins Twitter, Update On Morrison vs. DiBiase Feud

— WWE announced on its website this afternoon that Randy Orton has joined Twitter. His account is located at twitter.com/RealRKOrton.

TNA’s WWE-Inspired Name For Hard Justice, Impact Edited, More

13

— Apparently playing off WWE’s one night reunion show five years ago for ECW alumni, One Night Stand, TNA Wrestling is promoting its own reunion show as Hard Justice: One Last Stand. There is a commercial running on cable and satellite providers promoting the event as such. The commercial features TNA footage of ECW alumni such as New Jack, Raven and The Sandman. Furthermore, an audible “ECW!” chant is heard at one point during the commercial. Years ago when Shane Douglas ran the ECW reunion show Hardcore Homecoming, WWE’s legal team demanded they edit out the fans’ “ECW!” chants off the DVD release.

Dolph Ziggler Aims To Be The Best, Bella Responds To Report

20

— Dolph Ziggler reveals in an interview with the Ottawa Sun that he wants to be known as the best wrestler of all-time.

“I don’t want it to be just a pipedream, I want to be the best,” says Ziggler. “It’s something that drives me. I don’t want there to be a debate about who’s the best, whether it’s Ric Flair or Shawn Michaels or me. I want to make sure that they talk about Dolph Ziggler being the best wrestler ever.”

While his break in WWE came as a member of The Spirit Squad, he says he wasn’t thrilled with the idea.

“I was caught a little off guard, almost heartbroken,” he says. “I had trained to be a bad-ass fighter and then they wanted me to be a cheerleader?

“But it gave us the experience, to be in the ring with the best wrestlers. When that was done, it was me going, ‘OK, now I’ve had some time, give me something more along the lines of me being myself.”

Ziggler also discusses Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view, his wishlist of dream matches, the Ziggler character, and more. The interview can be read here.

Eve Hopeful For Divas Season Of NXT, Talks MMA, Development

13

During an interview with Jon Waldman of SLAM! Wrestling, revealed her hopefulness for WWE’s higher ups to debut a female edition of NXT at some point.

“When they told all of us about the idea of NXT, for the Divas that was our first question — will there be women on the show?” Torres said. “[There’s] a lot of value that could add because we’re always pushing for more with the Divas and bring the Divas to the next level. People don’t really get to know as much as the other superstars because of the amount of time you see us on TV. So having something show what it means to be a Diva… I think that’s what NXT is about — what it means to be a superstar — and I think a female version would be awesome because it could help communicate that to the world.”

Regarding her development as a wrestler, Torres says that the mixed martial arts’ training she received from the famed Gracie family has helped a lot, though not necessarily in the way that would first spring to mind.

“It helped a lot — not so much with the actual techniques and moves though they can be applied — it’s more about learning how bodies move; how to be athletic, awareness of your own body and what we’re working with in the ring,” she says. “It’s really helped me with being athletic and moving well.”

Torres also pinpoints the time when she felt she had really made herself known in wrestling; she feels, however, that there’s still much to be seen.

“When I started working with Maryse is when I really felt like people can start to see what I stand for and who I am. They’ve seen other sides — the interviewer side and as a manager — that was all fun and I enjoyed that, but they didn’t get to see who I am. I still believe that the WWE Universe still doesn’t truly know who I am and I can’t wait for them to really find out. I think there’s a lot more to come and more layers that can be revealed and I’m excited to do that.”

Kingston Comments On MITB, Whether He Expects HBK To Return

7

In an interview with Fanhouse.com, Kofi Kingston noted that there’s pressure to come up with new spots for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

“It gets harder and harder every time,” Kingston told Brian Fritz. “I definitely do put a lot of pressure on myself to come up with something new and innovative. I think that’s what the WWE Universe looks forward to. I know they’re like ‘well, how are they going to top the last one’.

“It’s gotten to the point where everybody knows it’s going to be awesome but there’s definitely an expectation as far as new and innovative things. We’ll see what happens man. This Sunday there’s going to be a lot of that going on especially being that there is a Raw and Smackdown Money in the Bank ladder match. We’re going to be competing which each other to try and put on the better show. People are definitely going to get their money’s worth.”

When asked to give his original thoughts on being moved to SmackDown, Kingston said, “I thought it was a very good opportunity to be honest.

“Smackdown was the only roster that I had never been a part of. I was with the Raw side, I was with ECW when I first came out. I had a few appearances on Smackdown but I never actually had a chance to be on the roster. So now that I am, I think it’s been an opportunity to be one of the main guys in there and be one of the guys, one of the flagship guys on the show. I thought it was an opportunity again to step up and kind of encounter a new frontier. It’s been very good so far and we’ll see where it all goes.”

The WWE Intercontinental Champion also commented on whether he expects Shawn Michaels to return for another match.

“I don’t know,” Kingston said. “He seems pretty adamant about not coming back. I don’t know. I guess you never say never but I’m leaning towards … Shawn is a really big family guy. He’s really wanting to spend a lot of time with his family and he’s earned that right. Yeah, I think that’s probably what he’s going to do. Who knows.”

8

— In an interview with SLAM! Wrestling, Drew McIntyre addressed his work visa issue that led to him temporarily being written off television last month.

“There was a process that had to be done, and a way it had to be done. It had to be done when it had to be done,” McIntyre told Greg Oliver. “I was always aware of the process that had to be done. It was blown out of proportion by so many people. … What you saw on TV was exactly the truth. It had to be done at that time.”

Bischoff Blog: Time Off From TNA, Hogan’s Back Surgery

4

Eric Bischoff has posted a new blog on his official website explaining his time away from TNA this month, Hulk Hogan’s health following his recent back surgery, Batista doing MMA and more. Here are some highlights of what he said about:

Taking Time Off From TNA: “The 4th is a special holiday for us as it is not only our favorite national holiday, but it’s also my wife’s birthday, (and now our new anniversary) as well as the anniversary of my fathers passing 10 years ago.  My friends and family from around the country have started coming out to our place in Cody as a sort of unofficial ‘friends and family reunion and it has become a big part of our lives over the last 10 years.'”

Hulk Hogan’s Back Surgery: “Just hung up with Hulk. His recent back surgery seems to have gone well and for the first time since I’ve known him, it sounds like he is taking his doctors advice and giving himself some down time to heal properly.. I get on him like his mother sometimes, as every time he previously had a back surgery, the first thing he would do the minute he was feeling better was go down to the gym and see if the surgery worked by pushing weights around. His spirits are way up, he’s feeling great and looking forward to what’s coming up.”

Batista Doing MMA: “Not so sure about Bastista’s move into MMA. Unless he has some amateur wrestling or legitimate kick-boxing background that I am unaware of, sounds like a quick payday, but not so much of a long term plan.  It takes years to develop solid wrestling skill as well as punching/kicking technique. At 40 years of age, it’s a hell of a lot of catching up to do when you are in there with fighters half your age who have been on a mat or in a dojo all their lives. That said…like Dave a lot and wish him the best.”
