Eric Bischoff was replaced as the Executive Director of WWE Smackdown this week after only having been on the job a few months. On the heels of his departure from WWE, Bischoff has already been booked for Starrcast IV next month in Baltimore.
Starrcast sent out the following earlier today to announce Bischoff’s participation:
Eric Bischoff Booked For Starrcast IV
”I don’t know all the details exactly [as to how he got the job]. I’m excited for it. Bruce has been a key figure in this industry over the past 40 years … having Bruce at the helm of SmackDown, he can bring it where it needs to be … He’s going to be making some big moves.”
As of this writing, Bischoff has yet to comment on his departure but did Tweet a message of support to his former co-workers and replacement.
“Bruce is a great producer, good friend and I am certain he is going to thrive in his position. He’s going to be working with a great team of the most dedicated and hard working people I have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know.”
