Adam Pearce says he does not watch wrestling he is not working on, and that includes WWE shows.
The Raw General Manager was asked by Pluggo for Love Wrestling about it.
I do not. This will piss wrestling fans off, but I will tell you the truth. If my fingerprints are not on the product, I do not watch the product. People do not believe me when I say that, but I have not watched a second of wrestling outside of Raw or SmackDown or Saturday Night’s Main Event or a pay-per-view or a PLE that I’m working on.
I’m passionate and devoted to my company. I am a company man, corporate through and through. I know who signs my check and I do as they say and collect my pay.
Pearce spent years on the independent scene before moving behind the desk, working for Ring of Honor and the NWA, where he was a five-time Worlds Heavyweight Champion. His last match was in December 2014.
In the same interview, Pearce ruled out returning to the ring himself, saying he has less than zero interest in putting his boots back on. He was asked because Nick Aldis, his SmackDown counterpart and another former NWA champion, came out of retirement at SummerSlam to face Gunther.
