AEW and Adult Swim are teaming up once again, this time for a full animated project featuring characters based on AEW's wrestling roster.
Writer and producer Nic Collins announced the collaboration via his LinkedIn page, stating, "Excited to share that I'm writing and producing a new animated project with Adult Swim x All Elite Wrestling."

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Collins will co-write the project with fellow Adult Swim creative Micah Stahl. All characters in the series will be based on AEW wrestlers, though specific names have not yet been revealed.
Collins is well-versed in both the animation and wrestling worlds. He co-created the Adult Swim animated series Thoron the Conqueror as part of the network's "Smalls" shorts program, and his series Beached was an official SXSW selection.
On the wrestling side, Collins co-developed and served as Creative Producer on Six Feet Under with The Undertaker, which reached #1 in Sports on the global podcast charts before its acquisition by WWE. He also went on to write and produce WWE SmackDown.
Stahl is an LA-based animator and filmmaker who has also contributed to Adult Swim's "Smalls" program with shorts including SOLO and A Night at the Orca-Stra.
A Growing Partnership
This marks the third collaboration between AEW and Adult Swim. The two brands first crossed over in October 2019 with a Rick & Morty-themed Halloween episode of AEW Dynamite, which featured branded turnbuckles, character masks for fans, and the Best Friends and Orange Cassidy entering in full Rick & Morty costumes.
In 2024, AEW and Adult Swim held the "Battle for the Booty" tag team tournament at San Diego Comic-Con, pitting AEW wrestlers against iconic Adult Swim characters.
The animated project is the latest example of AEW's continued extension into into entertainment, following its ongoing comic book crossover with DC Comics.
