AEW All Out aired live on PPV from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. Jon Moxley put the AEW Championship on the line against MJF in the main event. Moxley’s finisher, the Paradigm Shift, was banned from the match. It was announced during tonight’s show that AEW Full Gear 2020 will air on November 7th.

Big Swole Won The Tooth And Nail Match
Britt Baker faced Big Swole in a Tooth and Nail match in the first bout of the night.
Match Recap: Big Swole showed up at the dentist office and bashed Rebel in the head. Baker snuck up behind Swole and hit her in the head with a framed picture. Baker tried to extract a tooth from Swole but she broke free. The action spilled outside and Baker hit Swole with a DDT on top of a dumpster. Back in the office, Swole bounced Britt’s face off a sink but Baker shrugged it off and hit a Swinging Neckbreaker for a two count. Big Swole stuck a syringe full of novacaine in Britt’s leg and then knocked her out with nitrous oxide for the victory.
Opinion: This was terrible. The only positive thing I can say is at least it was over quick. I have no idea how this ended up on the PPV and not the Buy In. It would been brutal for an episode of Dynamite and was an awful way to start off AEW’s biggest PPV of the year.
Young Bucks Defeated Jurassic Express In A Fun Match
The Young Bucks faced Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus) tonight at All Out. Marko Stunt was ringside for the match.
Match Recap: Young Bucks took control early and isolated Luchasaurus in the corner. Luchasaurus connected with a Powerbomb and tagged in Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy hit Nick Jackson with a Hurricanrana on the entrance ramp and hopped back in the ring. Matt greeted Jungle Boy with three Northern Lights Suplexes and went for another one but it was botched and they both got tangled in the ropes. Matt brought Jungle Boy out of the ring and hit him with a Suplex over the barricade and onto the concrete floor.
Back in the ring, Nick tagged in and applied a Headlock to Jungle Boy. Nick hit Jungle Boy with a Double Stomp off the top rope and tagged in Matt. Jungle Boy tried to tag in Luchasaurus but Nick knocked Luchasaurus off the apron with a Superkick. Marko Stunt hit Nick with a cheap shot while the referee wasn’t looking.
Luchasaurus tagged in and leveled Matt and Nick with a couple of Clotheslines and followed it up with a Standing Moonsault. Luchasaurus sent Young Bucks out of the ring and hit a Moonsault off the apron. Nick Powerbombed Jungle Boy on the apron and planted Luchasaurus with a Destroyer. Matt booted away Marko’s crutch and hit him with a Superkick outside the ring.
Back in the ring, Matt tagged in as Nick Jackson hit a Swanton Bomb. Matt went for the cover but somehow Jungle Boy kicked out at two. Young Bucks went for the Meltzer Driver but Luchasaurus broke it up with a Chokeslam. Luchasaurus went for a springboard Splash and wound up landing in the crowd as Nick got out of the way. Young Bucks leveled Jungle Boy with stereo Superkicks but Jungle Boy kicked out again. Young Bucks followed it up with the BTE Trigger for the victory.
Lance Archer Won The Casino Battle Royal
Jake Hager, Christopher Daniels, The Blade, Rey Fenix competed in the first group of the Casino Battle Royal. Trent connected with a Tornado DDT on Fenix as Hager hit Blade with a shoulder tackle. Will Hobbs, Santana, Ortiz, Frankie Kazarian, Chuck Taylor entered the match next. Blade and Christopher Daniels were quickly eliminated as Santana and Ortiz stomped down Trent in the corner of the ring.
Billy Gunn, Pentagon Jr., Darby Allin, Brian Cage, Ricky Starks entered the Casino Battle Royal next. Darby got a pop from the crowd and sent Fenix out of the ring. Billy and Chuck Taylor were eliminated. Shawn Spears opted join commentary instead of making his way to the ring.
Eddie Kingston and The Butcher made their way to the ring and beat Frankie down. Sonny Kiss and Lance Archer entered the match next. Sonny Kiss eliminated Hager but but quickly got tossed out of the ring by Brian Cage. Hager leveled Sonny Kiss with a punch as Trent eliminated Santana.
Lance Archer eliminated Trent and Ortiz. Matt Sydal (formerly Evan Bourne in WWE) drew the joker card and was the last man in the match. Sydal made his way to the top rope and slipped to the canvas.
Pentagon and Frankie were the next two wrestlers eliminated. Cage hit Eddie Kingston with a German Suplex and then delivered a massive Clothesline to Archer. Darby Allin hit Cage with a Stunner and then eliminated Ricky Starks.
Starks dragged Darby out of the ring and launched him into the ring post. Starks put thumbtacks in a body bag and then placed Darby inside of it. Ricky zipped up the body bag and Brian Cage slammed Allin on the entrance ramp for the elimination. Sydal hit Spears with a Double Stomp on the apron and Shawn fell to the floor.
Will Hobbs planted Matt Sydal with a Spinebuster and then battled with Archer. Hobbs and Cage traded punches on the apron and Lance Archer eliminated them both a Dropkick. Butcher hit Archer with a Crossbody and battled with Sydal in the corner. Sydal eliminated Butcher but turned around into a Blackout from Archer. Eddie Kingston eliminated Sydal and then traded shots with Lance Archer on the apron. Archer Chokeslammed Kingston to the floor for the victory and earned a future shot at the AEW Championship.
Matt Hardy Picked Up A Win After Bashing His Head Off The Concrete
Matt Hardy faced Sammy Guevara in a Broken Rules match tonight at All Out.
Match Recap: Sammy chased Matt around in a golf cart to start the action off. Matt took control and brought Sammy up a scissor lift. Matt went for a Side Effect but Sammy countered into a Spear through a table and it looked like Matt slammed his head off the concrete. The match appeared to be stopped but then Matt and Sammy continued fighting a minute later. Matt and Sammy battled up a scaffold and Hardy hit a punch to knock Sammy though the stage for the victory.
Opinion: Excalibur claimed that AEW’s doctor checked on Matt and he was cleared to continue the match. I don’t understand why that was the case because he didn’t look right at all after smashing head hard off the concrete. Hardy couldn’t stand up and almost pulled Sammy’s trunks off as he was stumbling around. I appreciate Matt wanting to finish the match but it shouldn’t have continued. This was completely ridiculous and the majority of this show has been a mess so far.
Hikaru Shida Retained The AEW Women’s Championship
Hikaru Shida defended the AEW Women’s Championship against Thunder Rosa.
Match Recap: Shida connected with a Hurricanana and then both wrestlers went for a Dropkick at the same time. Hikaru and Thunder Rosa got up and started trash talking with each other. Shida took control and knocked Thunder Rosa to the apron. Shida connected with a Running Knee and then set up a chair.
Thunder Rosa leaped off the steel chair and hit a Dropkick. Thunder Rosa hit Shida with a few elbow strikes and followed it up with a kick to Shida’s head. Back in the ring, Thunder Rosa connected with a Backbreaker for a two count. Shida went for a Stretch Muffler submission but Thunder Rosa escaped.
Shida went for the submission again but Thunder Rosa countered into a Hurricanrana. Shida hit a jumping knee to the face out of nowhere and followed it up with a Suplex for a two count. Thunder Rosa battled back and hit a Death Valley Driver on the ring apron.
Back in the ring, Thunder Rosa went for the cover but Shida was able to kick out. Thunder Rosa hit a German Suplex but Shida battled back with a Falcon Arrow. Shida went for the cover but Thunder Rosa kicked out at one. Hikaru hit a Backbreaker and followed it up with the Running Knee for the pinfall victory. Hikaru Shida is still the AEW Women’s Champion.
Opinion: While it was pretty difficult to get invested after the Matt Hardy debacle, Shida and Thunder Rosa put on the match of the night so far. Shida is a terrific talent and it will be interesting to see who the next challenger is.
Colt Cabana Cost Dark Order A Win
Dark Order squared off against Natural Nightmares, Scorpio Sky and Matt Cardona.
Match Recap: QT Marshall and Evil Uno battled to the corner of the ring. Scorpio Sky tagged in and beat Evil Uno down. Cardona tagged in and hit Evil Uno with a Neckbreaker for a one count. QT tagged back in and chased Evil Uno around the ring. Back in the ring, Dark Order took back control and isolated Marshall in the corner of the ring.
Colt Cabana hit QT with a series of elbows to the face and tagged in Brodie Lee. Brodie launched Marshall into the turnbuckle and followed it up with a massive Back Body Drop. QT finally was able to escape the corner and tagged in Cardona. Matt hit Colt with a Dropkick off the top rope and then a Splash in the corner of the ring.
Cardona hit the Reboot and went for the cover but Brodie put Colt’s leg on the ropes to break it up. Brodie beat Cardona down and rolled him back into the ring. Cabana went for the cover but Matt kicked out at two. Evil Uno and Grayson then took turns beating Cardona down. Evil Uno went for a Suplex but Cardona landed on his feet and hit a Neckbreaker.
Dustin Rhodes and Grayson tagged in. Dustin caught Stu with a punch to the face and followed it up with an Atomic Drop. Rhodes connected with a Bulldog on Grayson and then a Powerslam. Dustin hit Cabana with a Destroyer and Scorpio tagged in. Anna Jay hopped in the ring and Brandi caught her with a kick to the face.
Scorpio Sky hit Stu Grayson with the TKO for a two count. Cabana hit QT with a Splash off the top rope but Marshall was somehow able to kick out at two. Rhodes tagged in and Brodie caught him with the Discus Lariat. Cabana had the chance to go for the cover but climbed to the top rope instead. Cabana went for a Moonsault but Rhodes got out of the way. Dustin then rolled up Cabana for the victory. After the match, Brodie Lee flipped out at Cabana. Tony Schiavone then interviewed Dustin Rhodes backstage. Dustin said that this win was for Cody. It was then announced that Dustin Rhodes will face Brodie Lee this Wednesday on Dynamite for the TNT Championship.
Opinion: Jim Ross wishing for Anna Jay to have wardrobe malfunction during this match was incredibly creepy and just added on to an already rough night for AEW. I thought this match was decent and am looking forward to the TNT Championship match on Wednesday night.
FTR Captured The AEW Tag Team Championships
Hangman Page & Kenny Omega defended their AEW Tag Team Championships against FTR tonight at All Out.
Match Recap: Hangman Page beat the hell out of Cash Wheeler to start the match off. Hangman was so fired up he almost struck Omega when he tried to calm him down. Omega tagged in and Cash with some chops to the chest. Hangman tagged in and hit Wheeler with a Shooting Star Press for a near fall.
FTR battled back and isolated Hangman in the ring. Harwood tagged in and applied an Abdominal Stretch in the middle of the ring. Hangman Page rolled up Harwood but Wheeler distracted the referee. Hangman leveled Harwood with a Clothesline and tagged in Omega.
Kenny hit Wheeler with a Moonsault off the second rope for a near fall. Omega flipped onto FTR outside the ring and then rolled Cash back inside. Omega went to the top rope and hit a Dropkick for a two count. Hangman tagged in and planted Wheeler with a Powerbomb for a two count.
Harwood planted Kenny with a Superplex and Cash followed it up with a Splash for a near fall. FTR went for Goodnight Express but Hangman broke it up. Harwood hit Omega with a Brainbruster as Wheeler hit Page with a DDT.
Omega planted Wheeler with the Tiger Driver 98 and went for the cover but Cash kicked out at two. Kenny hit Cash with the V-Trigger and went for One Winged Angle but Wheeler escaped. Dax Harwood tagged in and hit Omega with a Dragon Screw. Dax locked in a Figure Four and used the ropes for leverage as the referee was checking on Omega. FTR slammed Kenny’s knee into the ring post and continued to target his knee in the corner of the ring.
Kenny shoved Harwood and he knocked Hangman off the ring apron. Hangman hopped back up and tagged in. Page hit Harwood with a Clothesline and then delivered a Fallaway Slam to Wheeler. Hangman made his way to the top rope and Moonsaulted onto FTR outside the ring.
Back in the ring, Harwood caught Hangman with an elbow to the face for a two count. FTR followed that up with double diving headbutts for another near fall. FTR planted Omega with a Bulldog off the apron and to the floor outside the ring. Wheeler lifted Hangman up in the Electric Chair and Harwood hit him with a Bulldog for a two count. Hangman Page planted Wheeler with a Blockbuster Suplex off the top rope for a near fall.
Omega went for the V-Trigger but Cash ducked and he accidentally hit Hangman. Wheeler hit Kenny with a chop block and tagged in Dax. FTR planted Hangman with the spike Piledriver but Page somehow kicked out at two. FTR hit the Pilediver again for the pinfall victory. FTR are the new AEW Tag Team Champions.
After the match, FTR placed a couple beers next to Hangman Page. Kenny brought in a ringside table and made it seem like he was going to strike Hangman but wound up throwing the table away. Omega left Hangman in the ring and made his way backstage. Kenny told Young Bucks that it was time for clean break and told them to get in the car with him. Young Bucks declined and Omega drove away.
Opinion: I thought that this match was excellent and the right team won. The Elite completely falling apart/ Omega teasing the Cleaner gimmick has been a great storyline and I’m looking forward to see where it goes in the upcoming episodes of Dynamite. There was a crowd during the show tonight but I think they lost their energy after the Matt Hardy incident. It was also very hot in Jacksonville so that I’m sure that played into it as well. This match deserved a lot more noise and reactions from the audience.
Orange Cassidy Won The Mimosa Mayhem Match
Chris Jericho faced Orange Cassidy in a Mimosa Mayhem Match tonight at All Out.
Match Recap: Jericho hit Orange Cassidy with a Codebreaker right away and followed it up with a couple chops in the corner of the ring. Orange Cassidy battled back and launched Jericho into the barricade.
Cassidy and Jericho then battled on the platform with the giant mimosa. Jericho Powerbombed Orange Cassidy through a table and then shoved his face into the mimosa.
Orange hit Jericho in the head with the steel champagne bucket and the action returned to the ring. Cassidy connected with a Michinoku Driver and went for the cover but Le Champion kicked out at two.
Cassidy connected with the Stundog Millionaire and went for a DDT but Chris locked in the Walls of Jericho. Cassidy leveled Jericho with a Superman Punch and thew Jericho towards the mimosa.
Orange Cassidy hit Jericho with a Hurricanrana off the top rope and followed it up with a Tornado DDT for a near fall. Cassidy hit Jericho with two Superman Punches that knocked him into the Mimosa for the victory.
Opinion: I thought that this match was fun for what it was. I’m hoping that this was the end of the feud and Cassidy & Jericho can move on to something else.
Jon Moxley Retained The AEW Championship
Jon Moxley defended the AEW Championship against MJF in the main event of All Out. An overly excited fan tried to run up to Moxley during his entrance but security caught him.
Match Recap: MJF took Moxley down to the mat and applied a Headlock. Moxley broke free and hit MJF with a Body Slam. MJF went back to the Headlock and shouted ”sorry folks you are getting wrestling tonight” at the booing crowd.
Moxley escaped and dared MJF to fight him outside the ring. MJF flipped everyone off and refused to get out of the ring. Moxley knocked MJF to the outside and hit him with a Suicide Dive.
Back in the ring, MJF went for Cross Rhodes but Moxley blocked it. MJF applied an Arm Bar but Jon quickly escaped and unloaded elbows to MJF’s face. MJF slammed Moxley’s arm on the apron and Wardlow rolled Jon back into the ring.
MJF raked Moxley’s eyes and launched the champion into the turnbuckle. Jon knocked MJF off the apron with a shoulder tackle and MJF was busted open. Moxley almost went for the Paradigm Shift but thought better of it. Jon went for a Piledriver but his left arm gave out. MJF rolled out of the ring and Moxley slammed him to the floor.
Back in the ring, Moxley bit MJF’s head and then perched him up on the turnbuckle. MJF bit Moxley’s hand and then stomped on his arm. Moxley hit MJF with a German Suplex and followed it up with a Clothesline for a near fall.
MJF then spit in Moxley’s face and Jon got pissed off. Moxley set up for the Paradigm Shift again but the referee reminded him that it was banned. MJF countered into the Salt of the Earth Arm Bar in the middle of the ring. Jon escaped and MJF planted him with a Piledriver for a two count.
Moxley connected with an Air Raid Crash but MJF kicked out at two. Moxley and MJF traded slaps and punches in the middle of the ring. MJF pulled the referee in the way and poked Moxley in the eye. MJF followed it up with a low blow and then a roll-up for a two count.
MJF connected with Cross Rhodes and went for the cover but Moxley kicked out at two. Wardlow hopped on the apron and threw the Dynamite Diamond in the ring and MJF went to put on. Moxley hit the Paradigm Shift while the referee was dealing with Wardlow for the pinfall victory. Lance Archer was shown watching on from the crowd. Archer earned a shot at the AEW Championship by winning the Casino Battle Royal earlier on the show.
Opinion: I would have preferred to see MJF get a massive win and become the new AEW Champion but that time will come. MJF have reason to be complain about the Paradigm Shift being used so I’m sure this feud will continue. Moxley versus Archer should be solid as well.
I enjoyed this match but this show was way too long. I’ve complained about WWE shows lasting an eternity and AEW is doing the same thing. It isn’t riveting to watch a Sleeper Hold four hours into a show. Overall, I thought All Out was a disappointment despite the Tag Team Championship and Women’s Championship matches being great. The Matt Hardy situation took a lot of the energy out of the show and there hardly any crowd noise the rest of the night.
