AEW All In is expected to deliver one of the biggest crowds of the year. Not everyone in attendence is expected to be on the same side, though.
For her particular match, AEW Women’s World Champion Willow Nightingale foresees fans being divided in their reactions. Why? The impact of her challenger, Mercedes Mone, is hard to deny.
So, I’m definitely expecting a split crowd,” Nightingale told Fox News Digital. “I’ll be completely honest. One of my biggest strengths is I know the people are there for me, I know the people are cheering for me, but I would be a fool to not recognize the popularity of Mercedes, even though people see her ways. They see that she’s not truly like a good person at heart. There’s something about her that some people are drawn to. So, I am kind of anticipating that.
Nightingale captured the AEW Women’s Word Championship by besting Thekla at last month’s Redemption PPV. With Mone securing an All In title match the month before, the stage for their major collision was then set.
Nightingale and Mone are no strangers to each other, having previously battled over the TBS Championship in AEW. In 2023, the pair also clashed in the finals of the NJPW STRONG Women’s Title tournament.
My biggest strength maybe being a little torn, a little split, but as I mentioned, anytime you’re kind of at this caliber, we’re All Elite Wrestling,” Nightingale added. “We’re All Elite, and I’m in world championship tier, right?
Before Nightingale reignites her in-ring rivalry with “The CEO” at All In, she’ll defend the AEW Women’s World Title against Maya World on the August 22 edition of Collision. World fell short to Mone in the finals of the 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament.
