Continental Classic Blue League: Takeshita vs. Cassidy
IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita faces Orange Cassidy in what could be the Blue League's most pivotal match. Takeshita enters undefeated at 2-0-1 with seven points, tied with Claudio Castagnoli atop the standings. A victory over Cassidy would clinch Takeshita's spot in the Continental Classic semifinals at Worlds End. Cassidy sits at 2-1 with six points and would take over sole possession of first place with a win. The Don Callis Family member has been dominant throughout the tournament, but Freshly Squeezed has proven he can rise to the biggest occasions.
Dynamite Diamond Ring Final: Ricochet vs. Bandido
For the first time in the Dynamite Diamond Ring's history, MJF won't be competing for or defending the prestigious prize. After winning the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale in Manchester last week, AEW National Champion Ricochet and ROH World Champion Bandido were the final two men standing, setting up tonight's dream match. The winner receives the Dynamite Diamond Ring and an AEW World Championship match at Maximum Carnage on January 14 in Phoenix. This marks the first-ever singles meeting between two of 2025's standout performers, with both champions looking to add another accolade to their impressive year.
MJF Returns to Action
Speaking of MJF, the self-proclaimed "Devil Himself" competes for the first time since August after shocking the wrestling world with his return in Manchester last week. MJF cashed in his Casino Gauntlet contract to insert himself into the AEW World Championship match at Worlds End, turning the anticipated three-way between Samoa Joe, Hangman Page, and Swerve Strickland into a fatal four-way. Tonight, MJF shakes off the ring rust against an opponent to be determined while his three Worlds End rivals surely watch closely.
Continental Classic Gold League: PAC vs. Jack Perry
The Gold League features a brutal encounter between PAC and "Jungle" Jack Perry, facing each other for the first time with significant playoff implications. PAC enters at 2-1 with six points, while Perry sits at 1-2 with three points. Both men are known for their aggressive, physical style, and this has all the makings of a war. Perry has embraced a darker persona since his return, bringing homemade knives and vicious intent to every match, while PAC represents the Death Riders with his trademark intensity.
Shirakawa vs. Shafir
Mina Shirakawa seeks revenge for "Timeless" Toni Storm after the events of the 8-Woman Tag Match at Dynamite Holiday Bash last week. Shirakawa and Death Riders member Marina Shafir have battled several times over the past month, but tonight marks their first one-on-one encounter. The rivalry between Timeless Love Bombs and MegaProblems continues to escalate, with no shortage of animosity between these two competitors.
Statlander and Hayter Face-to-Face
Just three days before their AEW Women's World Championship match at Worlds End, champion Kris Statlander and challenger Jamie Hayter will meet face-to-face in an interview segment. Statlander has welcomed all challengers since capturing the title, while Hayter has promised to bring a different version of herself to this championship bout. The former allies turned rivals will have plenty to say before their words turn to action this Saturday.
Continental Classic Blue League: Strong vs. Dorada
Roderick Strong looks to play spoiler when he faces Máscara Dorada in Blue League action. Strong has been mathematically eliminated at 0-3, but Dorada clings to life with three points after his shocking upset of Claudio Castagnoli two weeks ago on Collision. While Dorada's playoff hopes remain slim, he'll look to build momentum with another signature victory. How will Strong wrestle with nothing left to lose?
AEW Dynamite airs tonight at 6pm ET/5pm CT on TBS and Max.
