AEW May Have To Make Noticeable Change To All In’s Presentation

AEW may have to keep the pyro modest at All In next Saturday, according to Dave Meltzer.

Meltzer wrote that the fallout from a row over fireworks at Wembley Stadium is likely to affect what AEW can do at the August 30 show.

Don’t expect fireworks at the level of a WWE show at All In this year.

The row started on August 14. The UK government sent an emergency alert to phones across England and Wales warning of a severe wildfire risk during ongoing drought and heatwave conditions, and the message specifically named fireworks among the activities people should avoid.

Hours later, The Weeknd closed the opening night of a five-show Wembley run with a large fireworks display during “Moth To A Flame.” Local residents and Alperton councilor Anton Georgiou criticized the decision, with Georgiou calling it dangerous and bad optics.

Wembley said venue officials met with Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade staff on site after the alert and decided the display could proceed safely.

All pyrotechnics at Wembley are designed, operated and managed by specialist professionals in accordance with the stadium’s pyrotechnics policy.

The stadium added that fire safety experts are on site for every event. The alert itself was guidance rather than a ban. It led to a temporary halt on the sale of disposable barbecues but did not prohibit fireworks.

Neither Wembley nor AEW has announced any restriction on pyrotechnics for All In. Meltzer’s expectation is his own read on the situation rather than a stated policy.
