AEW star MJF Reveals Getting “ALOT of money” After Viral Fan Incident

ByNicholas WatsonProfessional Wrestling Journalist

MJF has been a narcissistic heel for the majority of his AEW run, which has attracted his fair share of haters among fans. One such fan showed a level of disdain towards the Big Hebrew during a television broadcast.

On a July 2024 episode of Dynamite, MJF was involved in a match with Will Ospreay. The brawl spilled into the crowd and onto the railings among the audience. At that point, one young girl fan, later identified as Mia Liszewski, was encouraged by Ospreay, who trapped Maxwell in the railing to hit. She obliged Ospreay and her father and landed a few friendly punches on the Salt of the Earth.

The clip resurfaced on social media recently, which caught the attention of the reigning AEW World Champion. However, he gloated about it rather than feeling embarrassed by taking to his X and revealing that he got a lot of money from a settlement that took place.

I got ALOT of money out of the settlement. DESERVEDLY.

MJF will battle Kenny Omega in a high-stakes match

MJF survived a hard-fought battle against Mark Briscoe and retained his AEW World Championship on the July 1 episode of Dynamite. Following that, he laid a beatdown on Briscoe, who was saved by Kenny Omega, who had also set his sights on Friedman’s World title. The Cleaner challenged him to a match, but he refused and began to walk away.

However, his conniving mind struck, and he countered the challenge with a major stipulation; MJF would agree to defend the title against Omega, and if he lost, then Omega would never be able to challenge for the World Championship. At the end of the night, after much contemplation, Omega agreed to the match, setting the stage for the title collision on next week’s episode of Dynamite: Beach Break.
