A ladder match has been added to Redemption.
Tony Khan took to Twitter after this week’s Dynamite to announce a six-person ladder match to determine the next challenger for the International Championship. He explained that Mistico, who would have been the natural challenger for the title after Sunday’s match between Kyle Fletcher and Bandido, is unable to compete due to injuries he suffered at Arena Mexico last Friday.
The AEW President then confirmed Jack Perry, The Beast Mortos, Komander and “Speedball” Mike Bailey as the first four names for the bout, with the remaining two spots being filled with qualifying matches on this week’s Collision.
This will be the first AEW match for Mortos since March, as he has been dealing with visa issues. El Clon who has been announced for one of the qualifying matches will also be competing in his first AEW match since April due to similar issues. It’s unknown if the two will be allowed back in US after the events in Canada, or they will go back on hiatus afterward.

AEW Redemption takes place this Sunday July 26 from Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Below is the updated card for the event:

- No Holds Barred Match: “The Painmaker” Chris Jericho vs. Tommaso Ciampa
- AEW International Championship Match: Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Bandido
- AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Cage and Cope (Adam Copeland and Christian Cage) (c) vs. Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli and Pac)
- Tag Team Match: Death Riders (Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson)
- TBS Championship Match: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Maya World
- International Championship #1 Contender Ladder Match: Jack Perry vs. The Beast Mortos vs. Komander vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. TBD
- AEW World Heavyweight Championship Match: Kenny Omega (c) vs. Kevin Knight
Apart from this, Juice Robinson with Jay White has thrown a challenge for a double chain match to Clark Connors & David Finlay of The Dogs for the PPV but the bout has not been made official yet.
