Batista Reveals If He Will Ever Wrestle Again

ByAnutosh BajpaiProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Batista has revealed his wrestling future.

The Animal’s last storyline came back in 2018 when Evolution reunited for an appearance on SmackDown’s 1000th episode. It led to a match between him and Triple H at WrestleMania 35. While The Game’s career was officially on the line for this bout, it was the Hollywood star who announced his retirement from active competition after losing the match.

The former WWE star recently appeared on the Live Fears podcast. He talked about things such as becoming an owner of the W.O.L.F. Gyms, shock value reality shows going viral and more.

Batista also discussed originally leaving WWE at the height of his career back in 2010. On the topic, the 57-year-old later opened up about the possibility of an in-ring return.

The former World Champion first noted that retirements are a running joke in wrestling because it’s hard to walk away from the business for good. He then proclaimed, however, that he will go broke again before thinking about an in-ring return:

People always thought over the years that I would come back, that I’d come out of retirement. I told them over and over, ‘I won’t.’ I had a fucking storybook ending, and I won’t shit on it.

I’ll go do manual labor before I tarnish that. If I go broke again… I know what it’s like to be poor. I don’t like being poor. But I know what it’s like, and I will go fucking broke and be poor before I ever go back to wrestling. I will never wrestle again.
