AJ Lee Provides Emotional Update On WWE Future After WrestleMania Loss

AJ Lee might be done with WWE.

The former Women's IC Champion was interviewed backstage after her loss to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 42. She was asked if this was one of her more memorable moments in WWE.

The wrestling veteran said that it was her favorite WrestleMania experience so far because she was able to share it with her family. AJ Lee then got emotional talking about her entrance on the show.  where she was accompanied by a number of young fans. The former Champion mentioned how she never got to say goodbye to fans last time, and suggested that this might be the end of her current run with the company:

It’s been my favorite WrestleMania experience so far. Maybe my favorite match so far. Even though I lost it, I got to have my family here. For a lot of them, it was the first time ever,

And what I wanted to do with that entrance was represent all the fans who have been with me from day one; who have been wearing my outfits, my shirts and my shorts and my shoes and skipping along with me the whole way. That was for you. I love you. I never got to say goodbye last time and I felt bad about that. So this is not goodbye. But, I’ll see you soon. I hope.

AJ Lee has wrestled a total of 5 matches since her return at WrestlePalooza last year. With CM Punk still being a featured star for the company, there is always a possibility of her return. Though the former Divas Champion also has a number of outside projects and the latest comment indicates that she'll be focusing on those for the foreseeable future.
