Angel Garza has addressed a fan who questioned his decision to re-sign with WWE, making clear that financial stability for his family was the driving factor over competing in Mexico's lucha libre scene.
Following his match on the March 13, 2026 edition of SmackDown, a fan on X/Twitter asked Garza why he re-signed with WWE, suggesting he and Humberto Carrillo would be better off wrestling in Arena Mexico. Garza responded candidly.

Garza acknowledged the pay disparity between WWE and the Mexican lucha libre scene but was clear that WWE's financial security outweighs the appeal of competing closer to home.
Garza re-signed with WWE in July 2024 on a new three-year deal, which he described at the time as an offer he straight-up could not reject. The contract came as his previous deal was set to expire on August 1, 2024.
