Anna Jay is headed for surgery.
The AEW star told viewers on her Twitch stream that she will have shoulder surgery within the next week or two. She said she held off on the decision until she heard from several specialists.
I’ll give you guys the update. It’s a little unfortunate, but I do have to have shoulder surgery. I’m gonna have it in the next week or two. So, unfortunately, I did not wanna have surgery.
But the reason it’s taken me so long is because I’ve gotten multiple opinions from multiple doctors and surgeons… and different surgeons… just to make sure I’m making the right choice and the best for my shoulder.
Jay has been out since the summer. In July, Tony Khan said he had hoped to book her before the injury, and that she had extended her contract.
Jay later said the injury involved the same shoulder that had bothered her before. She said at the time she was gathering opinions before committing to anything.
No recovery timeline has been announced. We wish her a speedy recovery.
