Bronson Reed underwent surgery Friday following a distal bicep tear suffered during the February 23 episode of WWE Raw on Netflix. The injury occurred during a triple-threat Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Jey Uso and El Grande Americano, with Reed going down while attempting to break up a pin.
WWE officially announced Reed is out of action indefinitely. After posting a photo from his hospital bed Friday night, Reed offered an upbeat message to fans: "Tomorrow is DAY ONE. The road back."

Reed is expected to miss WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. Recovery from a distal bicep tear typically ranges from four to eight months depending on severity.
The injury compounds an already brutal stretch for The Vision faction. Reed's stablemate Bron Breakker is also sidelined following hernia surgery, while Seth Rollins continues rehabbing a torn rotator cuff suffered last October. Reed had stepped up as the focal point of the group in Breakker's absence, making the timing especially disappointing.
WWE creative has been forced to reconfigure plans around Reed, who was reportedly slated to win his qualifying match before going down and had also been factored into WrestleMania 42 booking.
