Andy Williams, the wrestler and musician known as The Butcher, collapsed and required medical attention at an Enjoy Wrestling show in the Pittsburgh area on Saturday night.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful confirmed the incident shortly after 10 p.m. ET, saying Williams collapsed at the show and needed medical attention. There has been no official update on his condition as of this writing.
The event was Enjoy Wrestling’s Five Years show at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale, Pennsylvania. Williams was advertised for the card alongside his longtime tag partner The Blade, with Lee Moriarty, The Amazing Red, Effy, Sonny Kiss and Dark Sheik also booked.
Attendees posting on social media described medical personnel working on Williams as he was being helped toward the backstage area, and said the venue was cleared before the card finished. Those accounts have not been independently verified, and Enjoy Wrestling has not issued a statement.
Enjoy Wrestling Was In The Middle Of Its Farewell Run
Saturday’s card was the promotion’s last show at Mr. Smalls Theatre, its home venue for most of its five-year run. Enjoy announced in August that it was closing, leaving one date remaining after this one, Tacomania on October 4 at Southside Works.
Williams, 48, spent nearly seven years in AEW as one half of The Butcher and The Blade. He and Blade became free agents in June when their contracts expired, and both have worked the independent scene since. Away from wrestling, Williams was the rhythm guitarist for Every Time I Die from 1998 until the Buffalo metalcore band broke up in 2022, and has since played in Atomic Rule.
