Tiffany Stratton made a huge claim after her second Money in the Bank victory, drawing the attention of former winner Carmella.
At the 2026 Money in the Bank post-show, Tiffy Time called herself the first-ever two-time Women’s Money in the Bank winner. Carmella, who won the briefcase twice in controversial fashion in 2017, took to X to post a photo of the Money in the Bank records to clear up the misconception.
Moreover, Mella even took a shot at Stratton’s scary landing spot from the top of the ladder during the match. She tweeted:
I think she hit her head a little too hard last night 🫨 but congrats on the win, babe!👏🏻👏🏻
During the 2017 Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, Carmella did not actually unhook the briefcase. It was her then-ally, James Ellsworth, who had climbed the ladder, grabbed the case, and threw it down to the Princess of Staten Island.
While it was acknowledged as a victory, Mella was stripped of the briefcase on the following SmackDown, and a Money in the Bank ladder rematch was set. However, this time, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion unhooked the briefcase herself and won the match.
WWE officially recognized this as Carmella’s second Money in the Bank victory. Therefore, Tiffany Stratton’s claim seems incorrect, as the former champion pointed out.
Regardless, Stratton once again has a guaranteed title opportunity. It will be interesting to see whether she can cash it in and win the Women’s title again.
