Cedric Alexander has parted ways with WWE after an eight-and-a-half year run with wrestling's biggest promotion. Many now expect Alexander to find his way to AEW and that's a destination the former Cruiserweight Champion is also interested in.
On his Instagram Stories, Alexander shared a photo of action figure versions of himself, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP. with the three active talents draped in AEW gold, Alexander made clear his interest in reuniting the Hurt Business, now known as the Hurt Syndicate.
Alexander's WWE release came after the high-flyer re-signed with the promotion in September 2024. At the time, it was reported that Alexander had reached a multi-year deal with WWE. Now, WWE has moved on from the former Cruiserweight Champion, making a potential reunion with Benjamin, Lashley, and MVP a genuine possibility. With that said, fans won't be seeing Alexander join just yet, as he will be dealing with the standard non-compete clause for released WWE talent.
The Hurt Syndicate came together in late 2024 and have already seen success as the faction currently holds the AEW World Tag Team Championships. While it remains to be seen if Alexander reunites with his former allies, fans are excited to see what the talented high-flyer does next in his wrestling journey.
