Dark Side of the Ring Season 7 premieres tonight at 9 p.m. ET on VICE TV with a two-hour opener covering Parts I and II of the Jeff Jarrett and TNA story back to back.
Executive producer Evan Husney has revealed that more than 96 percent of all Dark Side of the Ring interview footage has never aired on television. He teased that final unreleased interviews from deceased wrestlers, including Road Warrior Animal’s last sit-down before his passing and an interview with New Jack, could surface in the future.
The premiere is billed as “Jeff Jarrett & the Battle for TNA,” with VICE TV also promoting a segment titled “Karen Jarrett Sets the Record Straight on Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett & TNA.” The TNA story continues into a third part on July 14.
The premiere arrives as Jarrett has been in the public eye, discussing the 1999 WWE incident with Ariel Helwani and separately touching on Vince McMahon. Dixie Carter’s absence from the documentary has already drawn attention, with Jarrett having spoken about his efforts to include her.
