Diamond Dallas Page says he would still return to WWE or AEW to hit a Diamond Cutter if the opportunity arose, motivated entirely by the crowd reaction he knows the move would generate.
DDP told Wrestling Life Online:
I would still go in and hit a Diamond Cutter if it was for one of the big two companies. I would do that just to hear the roar of the crowd because I know it would be the pop of the night. Being able to do that, and have that command with the people is so cool.
The comments come after Fightful Select and WrestleVotes both reported earlier this year that WWE had been internally discussing a potential DDP television appearance, with the expectation being a one-off rather than a sustained role.
Page, 70, last competed in a wrestling ring on January 15, 2020, and has been signed to WWE under a Legends contract since his 2017 Hall of Fame induction. He remains close with several current WWE stars, including Cody Rhodes.
