Dominik Mysterio recalls encounter with Mexican crowd.
The AAA Mega Champion recently appeared on the Amigos Toxicos podcast. He talked about things such as the reason he wrestles with a vest, potentially being featured in Fortnite, Eddie Guerrero memorabilia and more.
During the talk, he also discussed working in different countries and how each crowd is very different from others. Giving an example, Dominik Mysterio mentioned how the crowd in Mexico will sometimes start throwing money in the ring after a good match:
I had a match against Dragon Lee a couple months back. If you have a good match in Mexico, they’ll throw money in. They’ll start throwing pesos in the ring. That started to happen to us, people started throwing money in the ring. It just means they’re willing to pay extra. Yeah, it’s like a thing out there.

While the behaviour is generally seen at house shows, Dirty Dom got to experience it during a TV event when he squared off against Dragon Lee at the AAA Heroes Inmortales event last October. Though Dominik Mysterio mentioned how not everyone who throws money does it with good intention and at least one fan managed to hit him with a peso right on his head:
It doesn’t happen often. It happens a lot in like independent scenes and stuff, but I feel like in AAA, I hadn’t seen it done for a TV in a while. They started doing it to me and Dragon Lee.
There’s those motherfuckers that do it out of the kindness of their heart and then there’s other malicious people that’ll start throwing and aiming at you. One of them actually, I got hit with a peso right on the top of my head. They smoked me.
Dominik Mysterio is set to face Danhausen in a ‘Human Monies on a Pole’ match on night 2 of SummerSlam 2026 from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota this weekend.
