Was Rusev upset about losing to Je’Von Evans?
The latest episode of Monday Night Raw featured a match between the Bulgarian Brute and The Young OG. The ending of the bout saw Evans defying the Accolade and delivering the OG Cutter to pick up a clean victory over the former AEW star.
A fan video from the night that went viral showed Rusev getting out of the ring quickly after the bell and rushing to the back. Many shared it as evidence claiming that it proved the 40-year-old was unhappy with losing to the WWE rookie:
A video from the broadcast of the show, however, provides a different reason why the former Champion quickly went to the back after the bout. In the footage, Rusev can be heard telling the referee that his hand went numb as he rolls out of the ring after taking a kick from his opponent:
The video suggests that the former US Champion completed the match despite his injury. His quick retreat was not due to frustrations with his bookings, but due to concerns about his arm, which he likely wanted to get checked as soon as possible.
