Drew McIntyre is in no hurry to tip his hand on when he’ll be back in a WWE ring.
The former WWE Champion, who hasn’t appeared on WWE television since WrestleMania 42, was asked in an OutKick interview when fans can expect his return.
McIntyre didn’t offer a timeline, but he did make it clear he’s physically ready whenever the call comes. He said he’s currently around 285 pounds, roughly 10 pounds heavier than he was while filming Agent of Shadows, and described himself as being in the best shape of his life.
We’ll see. You know, I’m as big as I’ve ever been. I’m 285 right now. I’m 10 pounds bigger than I was for Agent of Shadows. I’m in the best shape of my life.
McIntyre also pointed to a recent clip of himself running the ropes as evidence that he’s staying ring-ready. By his count, the video pulled in more than eight million views across his social platforms, a sign of how much appetite there still is for his comeback.
I posted myself running the ropes the other day, you know, keeping myself in ring shape. I’m always ready to go. I think it got, like, over eight million views just bouncing off the ropes a few times, across my social media platforms.
Pressed on the timing, he kept things vague, saying his attention is on his acting career for now. His answer ended with a simple “I’m not giving anything away.”
But right now, I’m focused on ‘Hollywood Drew.’ So, we’ll see. We will see. I’m not giving anything away.
The comments fit with what McIntyre has been up to in recent months. He’s been filming multiple movies and recently landed a voice role in Disney’s upcoming animated film Hexed. Meanwhile, reports have surfaced of internal WWE discussions about bringing him back on Monday Night RAW.
For now, McIntyre appears content balancing both worlds: ready for WWE whenever the moment is right, while “Hollywood Drew” takes center stage.
