Former WWE Star Cancels Tour After Announcing Brother’s Passing

A former WWE superstar had to withdraw from her commitments after a tragic loss.

She is former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Shotzi. In a tweet posted on her X account, Shotzi announced the unfortunate passing of her brother, Dean. Despite that, she was able to complete her professional commitments this week due to her family’s support.

However, Shotzi revealed that she was canceling her CMLL tour next week to mourn her brother and honor his memory. You can check out her entire statement below:

Late Sunday night, I lost my brother Dean. Being away from my family these last few days has been hard, but they’ve been so supportive and encouraged me to fulfill my commitments this week. I will, however, need to withdraw from my CMLL tour next week to be with my family and honor my brother’s memory. It was a huge honor to be selected for the CMLL Grand Prix, and I don’t take that opportunity lightly. Thank you to everyone at CMLL and the fans for understanding how hard all this is for me.

This came as a major personal setback days after Shotzi took a big step in her career. After thriving on the independent scene following her WWE exit in 2025, the 34-year-old star signed with TNA Wrestling and made her debut on the previous day’s tapings of Impact!.

However, her TNA run may be delayed now due to her brother’s passing. As Shotzi and her family cope with this tragedy, we extend our heartfelt condolences to her entire family.
