Hulk Hogan Bodycam Footage Reveals Dispute Over CPR

ByBishal RoyProfessional Wrestling Journalist

A responding paramedic captured on bodycam disputed the claim that CPR had been performed on WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan for eight minutes before help arrived, saying he was the one who broke the wrestler’s ribs when he started chest compressions.

The account, part of footage obtained by Law & Crime Network, surfaces new details about Hogan’s final moments even after police closed the case as a natural death.

Hulk Hogan, the ring name of Terry Gene Bollea, passed away on July 24, 2025, at age 71, at his Florida home. Clearwater Police later closed the investigation and classified it as an attended natural death from cardiac arrest, finding no evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

What The Paramedic Said On Bodycam

In the footage, occupational therapist Justin McCamey had described finding Hogan unresponsive. He said Hogan’s wife came in, they realized how bad it was, called 911, got Hogan to the floor, and compressions started.

No rise and fall of the chest. Try to get pulse. Try to get blood pressure. Nothing. She came in. Realized it together. Really called 911. Down to the floor. He started compressions. And that’s but basically he wasn’t breathing,” McCamey said.

When I saw it, I didn’t believe it cuz he’s such a big guy. So, getting a pulse, getting all that stuff is sometimes difficult.

A paramedic also shared a different read on the CPR timeline. He said Hogan was already on the floor near a chair when he got upstairs.

When I walked into the room, he was on the floor next to a chair. The therapist, the guy in the room with the scrubs, said he was doing CPR for 8 minutes. He was not doing CPR for 8 minutes. Because when I started CPR, I’m the one that broke his ribs,” the paramedic said. “If he was doing CPR, he was doing poor CPR.

New Bodycam Fuels Hulk Hogan Death Investigation Mystery

The medic added that responders expected to move Hogan from a chair to the floor based on radio traffic, but found him already on the ground when they arrived.

I think on the radio they said they were having trouble getting him out of the chair to the floor. So, we were thinking we were going to have to get him on the ground, but he was on the ground when we got there.

Official Ruling Has Not Changed

The classification remains the same. As Clearwater Police officially closed the death investigation, the medical examiner concluded the death was due exclusively to natural disease with no reasonable traumatic or toxicologic contributions. A private autopsy paid for by the family reportedly supported that finding.

The new footage still adds a rough detail to the case that has already drawn scrutiny from Hogan’s family. His daughter previously criticized the handling of the investigation and separately alleged that a key figure in his final moments had vanished. The case is closed, but the disputed CPR timeline is now getting a lot more attention.
