Jacob Fatu is back!
The Samoan Werewolf had been written off TV with a mysterious backstage attack in October due to a legitimate injury. He was supposed to face Drew McIntyre in a #1 contender's match for Cody Rhodes' WWE title before being put on the shelf.
So it was only natural that the former Bloodline star made an impact in the title picture upon his return during tonight's SmackDown from Berlin, Germany.
The main event of the show featured Drew McIntyre challenging Cody Rhodes for the belt in a Three Stages of Hell match. The third stage was a Steel Cage match after both the champion and the challenger had picked up a fall each in the previous two stages.
The injured star made his surprise return towards the end of the bout, and he first attacked McIntyre. Jacob Fatu, however, then also went after Cody Rhodes. This unexpected move from the former US champion allowed McIntyre to take advantage, and he ended up escaping the cage to win the match and the title.
The events of tonight only served to deepen the mystery behind Fatu's attacker and we'll have to see who is finally revealed to be the name behind the act.
