Former World Champion Jey Uso was recently involved in a physical altercation with rapper Cam'ron during a Thursday appearance on the It Is What It Is podcast with Cam'ron and Ma$e.
Jey threw the rapper to the ground after a tense exchange about his standing within his legendary wrestling family.
The incident occurred after Cam'ron repeatedly questioned Uso's abilities compared to other members of his family, including The Rock and Roman Reigns. When asked where he ranks among his family's heavy hitters, Uso acknowledged his relatives' accomplishments.
There's so many heavy hitters in my family, like my dad, Yokozuna, Rock...I wouldn't say I'm above like Roman Reigns," Uso said.
Cam'ron immediately interjected:
Yeah because you not.
Tension Escalates Over Family Comparisons
When Ma$e asked if Uso felt he ranked higher than The Rock, the WWE star was careful with his response.
I feel like I'm up there with him, but I got a lot to grow," Uso stated.
The exchange grew increasingly confrontational when Cam'ron asked if anyone had ever "tried him" in public. After a long stare, Uso responded:
Yeah they have, Uce.
Discussion of Uso's upcoming WrestleMania match involving YouTubers IShowSpeed and Logan Paul further heightened tensions. When asked about wrestling YouTubers, Uso said:
They can get slapped, too. Yeah, you want to try?
Fiery Exchange
Cam'ron attempted to defuse the situation, saying:
Let me ask you this cause I don't know where we are going with this, but let me try and stick to the script.
Uso questioned whether he was wanted on the show. Cam'ron later mocked him with:
Do you have anything else to say? Because I don't smell what the Uce is cooking.
When Cam'ron added
You looking at me like it's a problem," Uso responded: "You coming off a little disrespectful.
The rapper fired back:
No, I think you're coming off as a little disrespectful in my house a little bit.
Cam'ron continued:
I have much love for your family. I think your family is wrestling royalty. When you say you wrestle as good as The Rock, I got a problem with that. I just can't respect it.
Physical Altercation Breaks Out
After Cam'ron stated he would watch WrestleMania Sunday but not Saturday, Uso stood up and grabbed the rapper while walking past him, pulling him to the ground.
Others quickly intervened to break up the scuffle. Cam'ron was shown on the ground covering his head as Uso was escorted away.
Ma$e revealed after the show returned that he called security during the altercation. It remains unclear whether the exchange was legitimate or staged for entertainment purposes.
