Jim Ross’ health issues persist, and he has been hospitalized again.
The AEW veteran took to his X to share a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed. Good Ol’ JR revealed that he was admitted due to low oxygen, saying:
Back in the hospital due to low oxygen. Weighed 198. Need a break. ?.
Jim Ross has been dealing with a lot of health issues for years now. Most recently, he successfully underwent brain surgery and revealed that he had been recovering well from it after the surgeon turned off the shunt, and Ross said that it had vastly helped him with his walking and balance.
However, just days later, he is back in the hospital to deal with another situation. Moreover, all of these health problems have led to Ross being subjected to numerous falls and losing his balance.
This has been a reason that he has not been able to fulfill his work commitments with AEW. He last appeared for the Jacksonville-based promotion at AEW Double or Nothing 2026 in May and also revealed that his contract was coming up.
