John Silver is a married man. The AEW and ROH star wed longtime partner Denise Liguori on Saturday, September 19, and the couple shared photos and video from the celebration on Instagram over the weekend.
Silver announced the engagement in June 2025, so the big day arrived a little over a year later. Fellow AEW wrestler Chuck Taylor was among the guests, and a wave of wrestlers filled the comments with congratulations.
Liguori captioned one set of photos “Best day of my life.” She also posted a separate clip of what she described as her favorite prank she has ever pulled on Silver, adding that she had never laughed harder.
The real-life celebration came in the middle of a rocky stretch for Silver on screen. On the September 17 episode of ROH on HonorClub, two days before the wedding, Silver stormed out of a sit-down interview with Caprice Coleman as part of the ongoing Dark Order storyline.
The flashpoint was Preston Vance. Vance rejoined the group in August after the Frat House turned on him, and Silver has been the lone holdout. He told Coleman he isn’t ready to forgive or trust his former stablemate, while Evil Uno and Alex Reynolds argued that Vance had apologized and it was time to move on.
Away from the storyline, Silver’s AEW future is settled. Fightful Select reported in July that AEW re-signed Silver, Uno, and Reynolds after their contracts were among those coming due this year. The trio has worked primarily on ROH programming, and Uno has also taken on a coaching role in AEW and ROH.
