Liv Morgan Injury Update: Why She Won’t Miss WWE Raw

ByMike ReichlinProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Liv Morgan had an injury scare during a WWE live event in Birmingham, England on Sunday, June 21, defending the Women’s World Championship in a fatal four-way against IYO SKY, Lyra Valkyria, and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca.

The concerning moment came when Ruca botched a high-flying move and landed awkwardly on Morgan’s right leg. Morgan kicked out of the resulting pin attempt, grabbed her leg, and rolled out of the ring while limping noticeably.

She returned to finish the match and retained the title with help from her Judgment Day stablemates Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez.

Signs point to the injury not being serious. Morgan addressed it on X shortly after the event, thanking the Birmingham crowd and writing that she was “running to London.”

Fan video circulating from the arena shows her putting weight on the right knee and walking after the bell. WWE has Morgan advertised for Monday’s Raw at the O2 Arena in London, another indicator the leg checked out.

There has been no official WWE statement and no credible report of a confirmed injury, so her status remains a fan-video read for now.

The timing matters. Morgan is scheduled to face IYO SKY in the Queen of the Ring final at Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She has held the Women’s World Championship since beating Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania 42, a reign that has already absorbed one disruption with Vaquer sidelined by injury.
