Liv Morgan could have been Liv Gallow.
The Judgment Day star recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet for a new interview. She talked about things such as her shoulder injury, her NXT debut as a Tyler Breeze fan, and more.
During the talk, the former Women's Champion was also asked about the origin of her ring name. Liv Morgan revealed that, unlike many other talents who get multiple options for names, she was given only two choices:
I walked into work one day and they were like, ‘Okay, you’re either Liv Morgan or Liv Gallow, pick.’ I was like, oh. I had known we had Luke Gallows at some point in time there, he wasn’t employed in that moment in time when I was there. But I had known of him and his history.
I Never Really Liked Morgan
Knowing that a Luke Gallows had already existed in the WWE land, Liv Morgan picked the only other option presented to her. Even then, however, she was not a huge fan of the moniker from the start, and it resulted in the birth of her iconic signature:
So I was like, I’ll be Liv Morgan, and that was really it. I never really liked Morgan, now I like it. But I remember, first time signing an autograph, I was like, I’m just gonna sign Liv, and that’s all I’ve done. That just stayed with me my whole career. Only because I didn’t like Morgan.
Liv Morgan is set to challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the Women's Title at WrestleMania 42. Though she recently suffered a setback in her campaign, receiving a nasty-looking injury from Vaquer's latest attack. You can check out more about it here.
