Mark Briscoe Dealing With Real Injury

ByAndrew RavensProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Mark Briscoe is dealing with a legitimate injury following his AEW World Championship shot against MJF on Dynamite, with Bryan Alvarez confirming on F4WOnline that the issue is real while details on its nature and timeline remain unknown.

Not sure what the injury is, but Mark Briscoe injury is legit. All the best to him.

Briscoe had been one of AEW’s most prominent figures heading into the week, leading The Conglomeration to victory in the Death’s Door steel cage match at Forbidden Door before receiving his title shot against MJF on Dynamite. The championship match did not go his way, and the following night on Collision a backstage promo from his stablemates Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong signaled the extent of the problem.

That steel cage match was crazy. We got the job done, and Mark did get his championship title shot at Dynamite, but it didn’t really work out,” Cassidy said.

Because of his injuries, we don’t know when we’re going to see Mark again,” O’Reilly added.

The Conglomeration also noted that Tomohiro Ishii’s return timeline is similarly unclear, though Willow Nightingale is expected back soon, giving the faction some positive news amid a difficult stretch.
