Mercedes Mone says her AEW hiatus will be ending soon.
The former WWE star has been away from Tony Khan's promotion since the end of her record-breaking TBS title run on December 31 last year. She took a break from wrestling altogether afterward. The wrestling veteran returned to the ring at a CMLL show on March 6, but she has not wrestled for AEW this year.
The former champion addressed her status with the company during a recent interview with Wrestling Time on Italian TV. Mercedes Mone talked about her recent indie matches in Europe before teasing her AEW break coming to an end sooner rather than later:
I’m returning really, really soon. But right now, I am on my Mone Madness Tour all over Europe. First, it started in Mexico, now here in Italy, next stop is Paris, then London, then Poland, then Winnipeg. After that, Mama is gonna return home.

The Winnipeg mention could be a hint about her AEW return. Mercedes is scheduled to defend the WPW Women’s Championship at WPW Fight at the Museum event on March 31.
AEW will be visiting the Canadian city only a day after for a Dynamite taping, and it would be the perfect place for Mone's return before the Dynasty PPV set for Vancouver on April 12.
