Mercedes Moné asked her followers who she should wrestle, then spent the replies insulting the suggestions. The question went up on X on Sunday.
With the amount of talented women in the wrestling industry right now, who’s someone you’d love to see me wrestle? Who’s your dream match for Moné?
Giulia’s name came up and got the shortest answer.
She wouldn’t even make it to the arena!
Tiffany Stratton, the Women’s United States Champion, came up too. Mone responded with:
I would beat her ass and show her what time it is.
Mone has been in a more generous mood elsewhere. She said last week that a second match with Bayley is always on her list, calling her a friend and saying the current generation would not exist without her. Bayley has not signed a new WWE contract and posted training footage with Moné earlier this month soundtracked to a song called “All In.”
Giulia has had a difficult year on the main roster. She lost the Women’s United States Championship to Stratton in April and was booked to face Blake Monroe on Friday’s SmackDown in what would have been Monroe’s first main roster match, but Monroe attacked her during the entrance and the match never started.
Mone challenges Willow Nightingale for the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In on Saturday at Wembley Stadium. She earned the shot by winning the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament after Nightingale withdrew injured.
