MJF Reacts to Anti-ICE Chants on AEW Dynamite

Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) responded to an anti-ICE chant at AEW Dynamite from the Pearl Theater at the Palms in Las Vegas on February 4, 2026.

Following his loss to Brody King in the AEW World Championship Eliminator Match, MJF responded to an article from NBC News on social media. Despite NBC’s account of what transpired, MJF maintains that he wasn’t phased by the incident.

The world champion wasn't startled. He's better than you and you know it.

Fans erupted with "F--- ICE" chants before the match began, targeting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Referee Bryce Remsburg deliberately delayed ringing the bell to let the sustained chant resonate across the live TBS and HBOMAX broadcast.

King earned his AEW World Championship opportunity and after Hangman Adam Page distracted the champion and allowed for King to score the quick surprise submission win.

After the non-title win, Brody King will challenge MJF again for all the marbles next weekend at AEW Grand Slam: Australia on February 14, 2026, in Sydney.
