Oba Femi says a lot of top WWE stars have one foot out the door.
The Ruler recently spoke to Shak Wrestling for a new interview to promote his WrestleMania 42 match with Brock Lesnar. He talked about things such as his rapid rise in the world of pro wrestling and more.
When asked about WWE mixing things up by introducing some young stars to their roster recently, the 27-year-old mentioned that it's a good thing. Oba Femi noted that a lot of top WWE names are in their late 40s now, and claimed that they're on their way out:
Well, it’s very good because at the end of the day, those older guys are doing their thing — they’re killing it — but at the same time, Father Time always wins. A lot of them are 44, 45, 46. They’re on their way out. They have one foot out the door. So this is the time for someone like ‘The Ruler’ to come in, take their place, and fulfil that destiny.
The former NXT Champion also said that he has built trust with the officials with his work on the development brand, and the top brass knows that they have something special in him.
Oba Femi is the youngest name officially announced for a match at WrestleMania 42 at this point. Apart from him, all other male contestants scheduled to compete at the show are in their 40s.
