Penta showed his exceptional, true human side and made an extra effort for his fan battling cancer.
In a resurfaced video from December 2023, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion came down to a hospital to meet his fan named Juan, who has cancer. He has had over 30 stomach surgeries, due to which he has been unable to watch Penta in action inside the ring.
So the masked luchador went to the hospital himself to surprise his beloved fan. Penta spoke with Juan and gave him one of his lucha masks as a heartfelt gesture. You can check out the entire clip posted on X below:
Penta won the 2026 Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match
Penta has garnered significant attention ever since he pushed Roman Reigns to his absolute limit during their World title match on RAW in Mexico City. He recently competed in the 2026 Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match at the namesake PLE.
The former AEW star delivered a spectacular performance and found an opening to seal the win in the final moments of the bout. He fought Bron Breakker on the ladder and then delivered a Mexican Destroyer to him onto another ladder.
With his way cleared, Penta climbed the ladder and unhooked the briefcase, winning this year’s Money in the Bank ladder match. He now has a guaranteed World Championship match that he can cash in anytime and in any place of his choice.
As Penta continues his ascension in WWE, it will be interesting to see if the MITB briefcase can lead him to his first-ever WWE World title.
