The show, featuring guest spots from Hall of Famers Mick Foley and Kurt Angle, became a platform for Starks to make an “Absolute” statement about his career.

During the event, Starks interrupted Jimmy Lloyd’s promo, where Lloyd mocked him for being “in catering” during AEW’s Full Gear at the nearby Prudential Center. Starks responded in dramatic fashion, delivering a DDT to Lloyd and grabbing the microphone.

Expressing frustration with his lack of use in AEW, Starks shared a passionate message about his ambitions. He told the crowd, “I am 34 years old. I’m healthy. I am goddamn good looking, and most importantly, I am a generational superstar.” Starks praised GCW as one of the “hottest promotions right now,” hinting at potential future appearances with the promotion.
Jimmy Lloyd attempted a sneak attack after Starks’ speech, but Starks ended the segment decisively with a spear.
Starks’ AEW future remains unclear as he hasn’t wrestled for the company since March 2024. However, fans won’t have to wait long to see him in action, as he is set to wrestle at House of Glory on January 16, 2025.
