Roman Reigns Picks Jason Momoa to Form Street Fighter Team for WWE Match

Roman Reigns leaned heavily toward Jason Momoa if he had to form a Street Fighter tag team in WWE.

During a conversation with Kylie Mar at ComplexCon, she asked The OTC to pick a Street Fighter character to team up with for a tag team match in WWE. Reigns chose Blanka, played by Jason Momoa in the upcoming live-action film. The reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion said:

Man, it’s tough because you could easily go with, Dark Ryu, but I’m going off real life here too. I say Blanka. I mean they’re just, it works, you know what I mean, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. A similar looking brother, we can handle some business, I think you know?

Many have compared Roman Reigns and Jason Momoa, citing similar looks and features. Street Fighter will be the first film they are in together. However, they have both appeared in the Fast and Furious franchise, though not in the same movie. Momoa was the villain of Fast X, while Reigns had a cameo in Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw.

Momoa will play Blanka, while Reigns will play Akuma. The movie is set for a theatrical release on October 16 and will also feature another WWE superstar, Cody Rhodes, playing Guile alongside an established cast.

Elsewhere, Roman Reigns is scheduled to compete at WWE’s upcoming Premium Live Event, Money in the Bank 2026, this Saturday. He will defend his World title against LA Knight in a major singles bout.

So we will have to wait and see whether Reigns is still the champion by the time Street Fighter hits theaters.
